The Japanese Radiation Fallout... Uh Oh [Pic]

Submitted by: SaintPatty 6 years ago in

You know that Japanese power plant that just exploded? Guess where the radioactive fallout is headed...

BTW 750 rads would mean no survivors in that yellow area. That`s just not even possible.

This is a fake. Australian Radiation Services even announced that this chart was not authorized by them. There is a greater threat that western US citizens will be overusing potassium iodide pills because of this epic troll.

In replay to JaggyThistle message:
"It`s the internet, people - I thought most sensible users could spot such an obvious fake."

Let`s make an overview of the facts
1. 6 cores of the plant are damaged many reporting failures on their cooling systems, as a last resort solution seawater is being dumped to them in an effort to cool them
2. All 50 brave employees that where left behind to deal with the situation where taken back due to high amounts of radiation. (NONE is currently left behind)
3. USA troops on north pacific have been found "light radiation sick" and have abandoned the general area
4. The wind in the last few days is blowing from japan towards USA
5. Many failed attempts to make people ignoring those facts (from people like you)

U better think about it seriously

Too be honest, as a guy who likes arguing, some of the people I talked with recently proposed that the money going to Japan should be put into building a wall around it so the radiation doesn`t get to America.
I`m not saying republicans are stupid. I`m just saying some of the stupidest people I`ve ever talked with were right wing, YEC, bible belt republicans.

We have built our lives without nature in mind.
So that we`ve become the disease but we wont go.
Those that survive can end with our life

This is why I think we should have neuclear power plaants on secure platforms in the ocean, dont you think thats a good idea? Then if it starts to meltdown you have unlimited water to dump on it, your far from civilisation so the fallout is reduced and things like earthquakes wont affect it, plus you could move it wherever you wanted remotely if need be! just an idea =]
drating nuclear power, what a joke, chernobyl, this humans are just the quickest fix possible species, no worries about what happens later
Nuclear power has killed fewer people than fossil fuel power. It`s relatively safe, though I question the wisdom of building nuclear power stations in an area that is so prone to earthquakes.

Having said that, the power stations apparently withstood the earthquake itself, with the problem being caused by the tsunami breaking the main cooling system.

Humanity now requires a lot of power to maintain itself. It has to be generated somehow and fossil fuels are a finite resource that is becoming more expensive to extract. We need a replacement. It isn`t optional. Nuclear power is going to have to be part of it.
yea, it was just building damage. no actual machinery was damaged. Regardless, thats not how radition works. When chernobyl blew the entire planet was coated with radiation. it plumes out in a circle not a fun cloud.
As the saying goes: It ain`t necessarily so.

Radiation radiates, but radioactive fallout can be moved by the wind. So you can get a cloud of fine radioactive material that is airborne and blown by the wind, which can spread out into a shape like this.

It would require a major explosion and a containment breach, though, and that hasn`t happened in Japan.

These plants do not use lakes for cooling, they use the ocean. Yeah it is a closed loop system, of course but if this hits a level 7, then guess what? Those of you who don`t think a closed loop system can breach at level 7 are just not in the know. And YES the "stuff" can flow in an ocean`s current attached to physical waste. You can bet on that. And yes radiation can attach itself to airborn gasses and dust like particles you idiots. Many forms of radiation have many ways to travel.

Chernobyl didn`t either, but it still caused major devastation, and radiation can be steered by wind you dummy.
