I work at Brookstone, we have massagers that look a lot worse then that one. Half the people that come in and look at it make comments on how they look.

Honestly, this one doesn`t even look like a penis. Walk into a Sharper Image outlet and you will find ten different "massage wands" in various phallic shapes. It`s nothing new.

I still think it is weak that some women just can`t accept that they are buying things to diddle themselves with so they have to buy an inferior product when products obviously made for the purpose work much nicer. It`s not like you have to set the thing on the coffee table as a conversation piece. And yes, the vibrator for screwing "came" long before these did. It was invented by a doctor for the specific purpose of screwing and screwing good. He thought that sexual tension made women crazy so he invented the phuck machine to cure them of their illness. I think this was when women started going to the doctor more often. From what I read he enjoyed showing women how to use it. It looked like Frankenstien`s monster with a dick attachment.

You act surprised, but really, women`s stores are littered with this kind of stuff. Mini "massagers" you can use in the bathtub and whatnot. Conservatives don`t catch on and buy them and complain that they don`t vibrate strong enough, but no annoying chick gets overly offended and has her congregation ban the product.

Since we`re on topic.... For the modern woman who`s looking for a high quality, classy `piece`... I recommend the brand Lelo. Oh and also the We Vibe. That`s a good product to use with someone else (google it). These vibs are not scary and huge with blinking lights and revolving parts. Also purchase something rechargeable, nothing with batteries. Just some advice...

There are much better vibrators out there, so if someone is buying it for phucking herself, she might as well buy a better vibrator. I guess the best way to make money as a personal massager manufacturer is to imply or "suggest" it might also be a great phuck. It`s like having a rich boyfriend; nice to look at, not much of a shame to show around(especially if you wash the damn thing) but only a marginally tolerable lay.

@EdiMesic "...I`m not sure what I`m looking for here..."

Go onto any "adult interest" video website and look up vibrator... you`ll soon get it. the most common model used is the Magic Wand by Hitatchi... I know this because my G/F`s sister owned a "toy" shop that sold em.

If they advertize them this way, both savvy people who want a vibrator and oblivious people who genuinely want a massager can buy it. Larger market.

"People need to realize that these things existed way before vibrators."

Damn, did they discover FOSSILIZED massager? Because they sure did discover fossilized dildo.

"People need to realize that these things existed way before vibrators."

Actually, based on my bored perusing of victorian era medical websites, I`m going to say that vibrators existed before personal massagers did.

When I was a little twat. My mother used to get these catalogs in the mail, and I would peruse such. In them were kitchen items, bath items etc...

However there was always this pic of a model holding a bullet shaped massager by her face with a big smile. I used to ask my mom why it`s in the shape of a bullet? Why does it have to be water proof? Mom would just grin, and say go ask your dad. Dad would just day go ask you mother. Sheesh can`t any kid get a straight answer from a parent? ;-P

Crucible, the first electric vibrator for consumer use was patented in 1902.

"People need to realize that these things existed way before vibrators"

And you think that people didn`t use these things for sexual purposes way before they came out with things that were `vibrators` specifically made with sex in mind?
It IS a vibrator, on the principle that it vibrates.

For those of you who do not understand this picture, you obviously have never researched a `personal massager` before. Which means: A) You are a prude and think that vibrators only come in `bullet` size, B) You have a VERY vanilla sex life or C) Both... in which case I feel sorry for you. Very sorry indeed.

That`s hardly the only suspect device they sell. Anyway, I`ve seen pocket rockets as messages in Walgreens, and with the ribbed condoms they have what are blatantly labeled "mini massagers." Dildos are everywhere now.
