That`s stupid. 9/11 never happened. It was just a conspiracy for the government to invade iraq and afghanistan and sell oil contracts to exxon and shell and the like. This video is photoshopped. I can tell from the pixels and from having seen many shops in my time.

I find it funny how they could afford to go up in a chopper, but seem to have spent 20$ on the worst camera they could find. Come on they even had better footage in the 80`s.

9/11 has become what they called in my psyche class as a "flashbulb moment". Something so culturally significant that we can recall everything- almost exactly as to where we were when you first heard that planes had flown into the towers.

I was just coming out of the shower, getting ready during my first week of grade 8, I turned the corner and I had the radio on in my room and they were talking about it- Then my mom called me into the living room to watch on TV. It was so sad getting to school- everyone was just shocked and we sat listening to the radio over the PA in my first block class....

    Where were you?

Wait a second... I am pretty damn certain that some of the same people commenting on this thread, you know, the thread about the very violent act of killing 3000 people by crashing two airliners into two large buildings, were bitching and moaning about how violent it was for a car in Brazil to knock down a few bike riders and kill exactly ZERO of them.

MADEST, where you at? You all owe Madest an apology for your hipocracy.

This must be from that secret government alien black helicopter that took off from the roof after planting the holographic diversion device so they could plant thermite explosives in the elevator shafts and then signal the Freemason reptilian Jew overlords to start the War in Iraq so the Federal Reserve could elect the Antichrist Barack Obama into office.

I feel like the little bit of footage that was missing was vital. The video skips or was cut, I can`t tell, the moment the 2nd tower went down, and you don`t see the point of impact.

Don`t get me wrong, it was a horrible thing that happened, but it feels off.

This is the main thing people need to know about the Muslims. The reason (seriously) they call it a religion of "peace" is that they figure there will be peace after the rest of the world is dominated by Islam. Sick as that sounds, that`s their definition.

"No, terorist are not from any religion, they are just fcked up people who have nothing to do with religion."

To say that terrorism is not religiously motivated is quite simply a misinformed statement. The last thing heard in each roosterpit of each plane crashed that day was "ALLAHU AKBAR."

Duffy is not incorrect in his assessment of Islam. He is not making it up; it comes from the radical imams themselves. There will be peace when, and only when, the entire world lives under Islamic law.

"I feel like the little bit of footage that was missing was vital. The video skips or was cut, I can`t tell, the moment the 2nd tower went down, and you don`t see the point of impact."

There are a hundred other cameras which caught each tower falling from every angle. I highly doubt that this one, which looks to be several miles away at the time, caught anything revealing.

This is the main thing people need to know about the Muslims. The reason (seriously) they call it a religion of "peace" is that they figure there will be peace after the rest of the world is dominated by Islam. Sick as that sounds, that`s their definition.

Oh heavens- I want to go to bed. Both christianity and Islam wish to convert the world. Most people in either side are nice normal people, just the fanatical nutjobs that aren`t. Do not let yourself get drawn into that line of thought. You must see that christianity has its share of fanatics who think god made the world in 6 days last tuesday and it will all end tomorrow. They are just as dangerous as those who fly into buildings. Yes- religion is what they use to justify their actions- but it not the reason they are insane.

Not quite... it`s more like, Christians have pedo priests, polygamist ranches, and homophobes, whereas Islam controls entire countries that want to destroy Israel and conquer the west in the name of Allah. Oh, and pedo imams, harems, homophobes, and wife beaters.

Really? Having a bizarre belief system is not quite the same as having a belief system centered around destroying everyone who doesn`t agree with you. The last time a bunch of whacko Christians got together and killed themselves, they didn`t kill 3000 other people as well.

Humanity is full of sick people. Some of them are religious. Some of the religious ones use really old bits of writing as an excuse to do terrible things, like destroy buildings, or send armed forces to murder and pillage "holy lands" or burn people at stakes or beat up males who find love in the arms of another male.

This is not new news. There are no fingers to point, unless you are willing to point them in ALL directions. Shut up. Go home.

I think trying to say one religion is worse than another is a fundamentally flawed argument. It`s not religion that`s to blame for the attrocites in this world, it`s people. Religion however is a convenient and easy way to get people to commit these crimes; "if you do this, you`ll get huge reward when you die! Just not right now you understand, you have to die to get the good bits".

This isn`t something that will change. We believe what we want and if we think there is a cause to support then usually we will do an awful lot to support it. Saying religion causes murders is ridiculous, I have to point out that actually under Atheist communist governments more people have been killed in their name than for every religious mass murder in history combined. It`s wrong to say religion causes this stuff.

"The Inquisition, the Holocaust and the Oklahoma city bombing..."

The Holocaust and the Oklahoma City bombing were both politically motivated, not religiously. The Inquisition was 500 years ago, concerned mostly those within the religion, and ended after 150 years with fewer than 5000 total executions.

If you are serious, please explain the logic here. The towers fell from the top down. Controlled demolitions happen from the bottom up. Besides that, what could possibly be in that 10 seconds that was cut out, in a poor quality shot taken miles away, that didn`t show up on one of the other hundreds of shots of the tower falling?

SaintsFan - No offence, but it`s not something I really think about to be honest with you. Even when September 11th comes around, it`s not the first thing on my mind, nor something I bother to think about during the day.

The only reason why I`m even reminded of it are Americans bringing it up. I`m sure I`m not alone, that most people have moved on at this point.

I`m not saying it wasn`t awful, but you have to realize that there have been attacks before this happened and even after this happened. This wasn`t the first, and I`d go as far as saying the worst, that has happened over the course of our history.

Actually controlled demolitions can and have been executed from top down.

As for what is missing in those 10 seconds is actually extremely crucial, and that is sound. Analysis on vidoes just before the collapse have shown a series of loud booms, and oddly enough many videos that have been recently released just happen to mysteriously skip over these parts.

No, because videos like this are always kept private if the authorities can get their hands on it. The only reason it was released is because of a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

Law enforcement never just releases videos of crimes being committed to the public for the sake of releasing them.

"Actually controlled demolitions can and have been executed from top down."

Fair enough. Explain how they managed to place the explosives before the planes hit, in such a way that the impact of the plane did not destroy said explosives or set them off. Keep in mind that the collapses began at the point of impact. On top of that, once the collapses actually began, any subsequent explosives would have been redundant. Top down demolitions are precisely timed such that the lowest explosives are set off long before the top of the building hits the ground. The towers fell no faster than gravity could bring them down.

"As for what is missing in those 10 seconds is actually extremely crucial, and that is sound."

The "loud booms" would be the steel supports giving way under hundreds of thousands of tons of concrete and steel. That kind of thing makes a lot of noise.

Bremir, it`s an American thing, you wouldn`t understand. American had never before experienced mass assault on civilians up unto Sep 11 2001. It is a pretty big deal to us. Since we are pretty well insulated to terrorism, unlike Europe and the middle east, we have yet to experience anything like sep 11 since. Pardon us if we think it is a big deal; pardon us if we reflect on those who were lost.

Cops and "the worlds dumbest criminals" are just SLIGHTLY different from the worst attack on American soil in the country`s history.

Considering the context here, I don`t think there should be any confusion about what I mean when I say "crimes being committed." I`m not talking about convenience store robberies.

Okay, so by "Law Enforcement" you meant the Government, or FBI, since clearly NYPD wouldn`t be the ones who had their hands on this tape. By "crimes" you meant massive terrorist attacks. Gosh, ya know, the subtle differences get me every time.

    Ohhhh, b`AWWWWWWW.
Americans, get over yourselves. It was almost ten years ago. So the drat what if a couple of your towers got knocked over, RIGHT NOW in the world there are ALOT more important things going on. The whole argument about whether or not 9/11 was a conspiracy is twice as redundant as whether or not the moon landing was faked. It doesn`t really matter, the past is the past.

"American had never before experienced mass assault on civilians up unto Sep 11 2001."
And the rest of the world doesn`t give a rats ass. Man up, America is always trying to prove how big its balls are, get a drating straw so you can suck it up.

yes it was horrible, and yes nobody should ever go through that, ever, but i don`t think you should have the right to be still upset about it unless it was somebody in your family or a close friend that died. don`t try to act like it was YOUR tragedy, go talk to somebody who actually lost somebody in the event and you`ll know what i mean. not trying to be an non-nice individual or something but that`s like going to a strangers funeral and telling their family that you are more hurt than them.

The FBI is a form of law enforcement. I don`t know how you thought that by "crimes" I meant petty theft, in a forum discussing 9/11.

"Theres still no explanation in regards to how the 3rd WTC building fell...it was smaller and just collapsed on its own long after the other two."

When the towers fell, the debris heavily damaged several buildings around it. WTC7, the building you are referring to, caught fire and burned the entire day. Natural gas stored in the building was situated in such a way that when it ignited, it compromised the structure and caused its collapse.

I have seen some people write - mostly Canadians (I am also a Canadian, you can tell cause I am eating a beaver while driving to the doctor for an x-ray I wont be paying for) - that if this had not happened in the US this would already be forgotten. Got to challenge that. This was a major land mark going down in one of the biggest cities in the world. A parallel would be if the Tower of London got hit or the Arc De Triomphe in Paris. I can`t think of a real life parallel for the western world. I think this wound on the American psyche will bleed for 100 years or more. America has pictured itself - and not entirely unfairly - as a giant straddling the world. However, no matter your power, your weapons, your money, the people, with the right motivation and a willingness to die are a very hard target to stop.

So, you are familiar with the NIST report, and yet you still believe WTC7 was brought down by controlled demolition. Well, you obviously haven`t studied the report very well, because it does indeed point out that contributing factors include unusual amounts of stored fuel within the building. You are a classic example of someone who desperately wants to believe it WAS an inside job, despite all evidence pointing to the contrary.

An Iranian worker at my work, who never took a day off, planned ahead and took that Tuesday off to "paint his house". I will never forget this. I worked in Concord, NH at that time. The next day, my boss, all 6 foot 6", 320lbs of him, stood at the top of the stairs, as the Iranian aproached, and said, "Where the heck where you yesterday? Driving someone to the airport?" I couldn`t stop laughing at that. 3 years later, that Iranian was asigned to work under me. Becouse of my lack of desire to train him, and because of the language barrier, I eventually got fired, after 17 years. Strange how the Iranian still works there, and I`m unemployed. Anyone looking for a Printing Press Operator?

    Right from the NIST website:

"Did fuel oil systems in WTC 7 contribute to its collapse?

No. The building had three separate emergency power systems, all of which ran on diesel fuel. The worst-case scenarios associated with fires being fed by ruptured fuel lines-or from fuel stored in day tanks on the lower floors-could not have been sustained long enough, could not have generated sufficient heat to weaken critical interior columns, and/or would have produced large amounts of visible smoke from the lower floors, which were not observed."

You made a lot of assumptions about me based on two posts. You believe that you are the only one who has ever looked at the information, because you are a true believer, and you actually think that everyone would come to the same conclusion as you if they did.

I went through all this when Loose Change was released, and over an 8 month period I learned all I needed to know about the 9/11 truth movement. The whole thing is a scam designed to sell merchandise, and I would be willing to bet money that you actually own a hat, or a shirt, or a mug that says "9/11 truther," or something along those lines. The fact is, every conspiracy theory about 9/11 can be easily debunked by anyone with a rational, logical mind.

"A combined land - air attack would make sense."

My biggest problem with the theory of explosives within the building is simply the plausibility of anyone, government or Al-Qaeda, actually getting the explosives in undetected. The bomb that went off in 1993, for instance, weighed almost a ton and was inside a truck, and it failed miserably at its intended purpose.

I don`t doubt that the government could get its hands on more powerful, compact explosives, and they might even be able to sneak them in over a long period of time. That seems like a really big stretch to me.

What is not clear is how those explosives would have actually helped to bring the towers down anyway, considering the way in which the towers fell.

"Write him off if you want, you are the citizen your government loves."

I gotta be honest, I think the government loves the 9/11 truthers. As South Park put it, the government likes for its citizens to feel like the government is in control of everything.

Many people think that little things, like not releasing this video for 10 years, infer that they have something to hide. They even did a little editing to this video to make it shady, however the editing doesn`t really make sense. I think they just like to fuel the conspiracy theory, because they know good and well that there is no conspiracy.

I certainly don`t blame anyone for questioning what happened, something so important should be questioned. You can`t expect the government to give good answers, however; they just aren`t in that business.

After seeing the interest Haliburton has in the middle east, I`m not so sure it was a government action, but you can imagine how bad it looks when the former ceo of a company stands to make billions of dollars on a war there...Its not evidence, but then they had all of that taken away immediately without investigation...I`m not a truther, but i know lies when i hear them.

The fire from the impacts caused the top sections of the buildings to collapse. The weight of the collapse cause the rest of the building to fall.

The debris storm from the towers falling, damaged building 7 to the point that it`s structural integrity was compromised, and it fell.

Why is this so far out for some of you?

If you want a rational explanation then fine. WTC7 went from full support straight into freefall.. THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN. The only way for this to happen is for EVERY major support column to fail at the SAME TIME. It is impossible for an uncontrolled fire to cause this. Especially when the fires where much more severe in certain sections.

"Why is this so far out for some of you?"

Because it`s impossible. The towers were built and designed in two major sections; The outer ring of floors and the central inner column. Even with severe damage the inner column should have remained almost completely intact. Instead every floor was demolished like clockwork demolitions. Don`t even get me started with the rivers of liquid thermite..

Who cares about the how? I think the question that should be asked is WHY? Why would the government kill thousands of innocent people and destroy the economic foundation of one of the most powerful cities in the country? If `they` wanted to get us pumped up for a war then why go to such drastic means? Or if the government was willing to sacrifice so much, why stop there? Why didn`t they just blow up the towers in an uncontrolled fashion to cover their tracks? You`re telling me that NOBODY who made this `plan` took into account that someone might RECORD the towers falling? No one behind this insidious `plot` could fathom that someone with basic knowledge of engineering MIGHT be residing in the city, or will have studied the way the towers collapsed? The theory is ridiculous, America never needed to make such drastic excuses to go to war in the past, so why do it now?

When a 40 story building starts to collapse, the sheer momentum of the falling portion obliterates everything below it. That is why all three buildings fell at near free fall speed; the resistance of each subsequent floor is not enough to slow down the huge mass falling from above. I also don`t believe "full support" is accurate, considering the building had been burning all day, not to mention the structural damage caused by the debris of the other two towers.

"Even with severe damage the inner column should have remained almost completely intact."

There is no case prior to 9/11 where a large airliner full of jet fuel has crashed into a 100 story building. How can you make this assertion with such confidence? The building was not designed to withstand a passenger jet impact at 500 mph.

"The building was not designed to withstand a passenger jet impact at 500 mph."

Say what? That`s exactly what it was designed for! Because the buildings were so large and so close the airport they specifically designed the structure to withstand the FULL impact of a loaded Boeing 707.

The idea was that the outer columns would collapse around the central column, leaving the building damaged, but repairable.

Jet fuel burns at 287.5 °C (549.5 °F), steel melts at 1375 °C (2507 °F). Just that fact alone debunks all rationalities.

You do realize that there where many buildings damaged from the twin towers on 9/11 right? Many even more damaged than WTC7. For example WTC3, 4, 5, AND 6 where all closer to the towers than wtc7 was, and all four of them where MORE damaged than WTC7 yet NONE of them collapsed in the way that WTC7 did. In fact the building closest to the towers(wtc3) was the most damaged, and it still did not fully collapse.

Ok maybe poor choice of words, by full support I meant that the building was still being supported enough to still be standing. The building went from being standing into IMMEDIATE free fall. It did not slowly progress into it. This means that EVERY major support column gave way at the same time right at the moment of collapse.

Ok, now let`s get into some basic physics. Any object at an elevated height has gravitational potential energy, if it falls the potential energy is converted to kinetic energy. Free fall is when an object uses all potential energy as kinetic energy. If any of the potential energy is used for any other purpose then you will fail to achieve free fall. In the case of a building if any of the gravitational potential energy is used for breaking the support columns then the building will fail to achieve free fall. This means that the only way for a building to achieve free fall is for an EXTERNAL force to remove all the support columns at the same time.

@raptor hawk- the only problem with your equation is that NO ONE IS SAYING THE ENTIRE BUILDING FELL AT FREEFALL SPEED! The exterior portions, which were visible, fell at free fall speed while the interior portions, which were mostly hidden by dust and smoke, did not fall at free fall speed.

Seriously, do some home work before you try and discredit an argument that isn`t even being made.

Airplanes take off and land at much slower speeds than the planes that hit the towers. No plane is supposed to be flying that low going that fast.

No offense, but this is the most foolish misconception of the entire conspiracy. First off, I think your stats are a little off, but that is irrelevant. In order to compromise the structure you do not actually have to MELT the steel. To melt steel is to weaken the molecular bonds such that it is no longer held in a solid structure.

For the structure to be compromised, the steel only needs to be weakened to the point where it can no longer support the load it is bearing.

This is true, but being more damaged does not necessarily mean that the building has had its internal structure compromised. Poor design, poor response, and poor luck could all be contributing factors. Or, of course, it could have been that the government/Larry Silverstein went in there and placed explosives, just in case they wanted to blow it up later.

"Ok, now let`s get into some basic physics ... the only way for a building to achieve free fall is for an EXTERNAL force to remove all the support columns at the same time."

That is some shady physics. In this case, the potential energy is equal to the kinetic energy minus the energy lost to pulverizing the building below. So, P = K - E(tower). In order to achieve near free fall speed, K needs to be much, much larger than E(tower).

If the structure fails at the 8th floor, the remaining 80% of the building is no longer contributing to supporting the structure. It becomes a very large falling mass, with potential energy mgh. The resistance provided by the 8 stories still standing would be very small compared to the sheer kinetic energy of the falling mass. Once the falling mass reaches the ground, its velocity is so great that the momentum obliterates the internal structure when it makes contact.

@TxTnViolence: Seriously, pay attention. I`m primarily talking about WTC7 here which DID have a large period of free fall and this is something that has been CONFIRMED.

Actually the towers were designed to withstand a plane going 600mph. Go look it up for yourself if you don`t believe me.

Holy crap, you are just not getting this. WTC7 went immedietely into free fall. Not near free fall, but actual free fall. This means ALL potential energy was converted into kinetic. If ANY of the energy is used for breaking the support columns then you WILL NOT have free fall, but you did. YOU HAD ACTUAL FREE FALL. Not near free fall, but FREE FALL. This means the energy to break the columns had to come from somewhere else.

You`re right, the Port Authority did release documents that showed the buildings were designed with the impact of a plane going 600mph in mind. Having said that, the towers DID withstand the impact of a plane going 600mph. That is why they remained standing, and why the plane impact itself is not considered the direct cause, but rather steel beams which were weakened by the impact and further weakened by exposure to very hot fires.

How can you back this up? I just did a quick google search and went to the first few 9/11 truther sites, and they all admit that it is not actual free fall, but "near" free fall. That is coming from people who believe this crock.

The twin towers fell at near free fall speeds, WTC7 though was free fall. Watch the three parts to this video.

I`m not going to watch some video as a source of information to back up your claims. A documentary must be backed up by sources; you do not use the documentary itself as a source.

It is quite clear that we could go on like this for weeks with 1,000 characters at a time (or more like 939), so I will not post again in this thread. I hope we get to debate the subject some more in a later post about 9/11. It truly is entertaining.

Translation: "I`m scared to watch it because it might prove me wrong."

Seriously, it does not matter one bit that it is a video. The video shows all the science behind how free fall has indeed been confirmed. When you look at things scientifically, the source of the information does not matter one bit, all that mattes is the information itself and any scientist will tell you that because anything involving math is checkable AND repeatable. If it is not checkable and repeatable then it is wrong. The information in the video is both checkable and repeatable.
