As an American myself, I agree with metalm0rgan. It`s people like that guy in the video who embarrass us and make the rest of us look like a$$holes.... We`re not all jerks, I promise! =D

In Scotland they have a minutes applause instead of minutes silence. It may not be as respectful as a minutes silence however it drowns out the voices of any idiots in the crowd who try to disrespect the minutes silence.

I hate Americans sometimes.

Actually, I hate them most of the time.

...it figures someone would yell out "USA". Unless it is their patriotism, they could not care less.

What the hell are people blaming "Europeans" for the all of a sudden hated sport "Soccer"

Americans are plain balls at Football (The one where you spend the majority of the time using your feet) and likewise everyone else is bad at American Football (The one where you carry the ball nearly all the time.
The English don`t play, nor talk about Yankball
The Americans can`t play, but only talk about Football when they make it into the world cup.

Of course somebody did this at a soccer game. Nobody gives a pooe about soccer except asshats in europe like 8bithero who get a raging drating hardon every time some guy kicks the ball nowhere, to nobody and doesn`t score. It gives him a chance to yank it and wank it to his favorite poster of Beckham whilst still stuffing a soccer ball up his ass. drat off you hateful twat.

You can`t have over 10,000 people in any place and expect them all to be silent at a specific time. Unless the reason is mutually respected by everyone it just can`t happen. Not to mention that things can happen at any time. If someone spilled a drink on me during the moment of silence I`d be inclined to speak up about it.

I wasnt impressed. Maybe its because I don`t see much of a point for giving a moment of silence for anything. Its like funerals. They are for the living, The dead don`t care. I really doubt japan would care if they didn`t give them a moment of silence.

I don`t think it`s fair that so many people are saying how rude Americans are. The nationality of the people is irrelevant, these are people attending a soccer match. Regardless of what country they might live in they have a long standing reputation of being loud annoying douchebags. I know it;s popular to hate on Americans but in this case I`ll defend them.

Lots of teams fans have knobs who do this, the Marseille fans before the Champions League game at old Trafford were worse than this, but I couldn`t understand what they were saying, it was probably French for "We surrender, give us cheese!"
I wonder what people`s responses would be if he had shouted "UK" instead of USA... Just saying =p
Dickhead. Although that would be my response whatever he had shouted.
Mind you, I`ve never heard anyone shout "Yeah, UK!". We don`t really do that. Might shout for the individual countries, but not UK.

I think you are judging him too harshly. How do we know who he is saying "good afternoon" to? Maybe he is talking to his bitches, and he is just a loud talker.

Seriously though, if this is meant as an insult it`s pretty meaningless unless he is going to man up and show his face. Maybe he is too embarrassed after learning that "konichiwa" is not an insulting way to say hello in the afternoon.

Funny, it used to be 2 minutes of silence, then it was 1 minute of silence, nowadays its a `moment` of silence. What`s next... the blink-of-an-eye of silence?

The I-A-B headlines says "fans" like in plural??? There was only one idiot out of 40,000 people.

Well there`s one jackweed in a large stadium of respectful people. No big surprise there. I hope some dim-bulb on I-A-B doesn`t stereotype all Americans based on this.

Oh wait, they already did!

Russia lost it`s propagandist belief in itself when it lost the Cold War. Unfortunately the USA didn`t, and a few americans still seem to have that c-ntish mentality about patriotism and living in the past.
