I would definitely buy one, but I take it this is an artist representation of future gadgets?

Won`t work unless it`s light and made of bullet proof glass. I wear a $20 watch because they get scratched and chipped. I won`t be wearing my $1000 laptop on my wrist.

Am I the only one who actually wants this?

This is quite cool, but the bump where the fold is would annoy me if I were actually trying to look at the screen and do anything.

Wouldn`t wear this thing. But shows progress towards truly portable computer systems, as compared to laptops.

AMOLED displays can be MUCH thinner and flexible than this...so I wouldn`t say something is unrealistic or retarded unless you, yourself, knows what you`re talking about.

And it`ll eventually be overpriced and under-powered, just like every other piece of modern technology we were promised would `revolutionize computing as we know it.`

You`d get punched in the side of the head more for having this out in public than an iPad. I certainly would larrup you if you got this out in my vicinity. I dont care if you`re Chuck Norris or James Earl motherf*cking Jones, no-one can pull this off

"The hands look fake"

Notice in panel 3 they are see-through. Please don`t get all self-righteous and skeptical... this is clearly a computer generated image. And I don`t think anyone was pretending it was anything else.

Because I want to risk breaking my computer any time I wave my hands.

I saw this concept online about 2 years ago.

That would probably cost more than a normal computer so I think I`ll just stick with that.

@hellrazor236:

Technical fails or not, it is an interesting concept. No technology comes out fully formed and functional. =)

... and then you accidentally whack your arm against the wall...

Let me point out the technical fail with this:
Bendable battery
No heat dissipation
That bump in the middle has got to die
Too small to have a processor, memory, hard drive (or whatever) space, a projector, and a touch screen

Also not how fake looking the hands are, I call BS upon this.

This reminds me of that episode of Futurama where all the robots rebel and Leela`s bracelet thing tells her to wash her wrist every now and again.

I can only imagine how hot and sweaty it must get under that thing.

Hm.. i have a feeling that it will be here within 10 years, and that it`s name will be iSomething. Maybe looking a little different, but the mini-portable computer using a type of proojection technology that doesen`t require a "canvas" if you will - is coming for sure :-)Maybe the secon or even the 1st version will be 3d. - that would be cool :-)

Given how many watches I ruined catching them on door jambs or otherwise hitting them by accident, I don`t think this would be an option for me.

The same idea that folds into a pocket or holster would be better for me.
