Outside Cape Kennedys Vehicle Assembly Building. As engineers nerds, you think they could have got that circle right.

"Okay, guys, we`ve got to do something brilliant, something exciting, something...EYE CATCHING."

"Fuuuuck it, let`s just make a body rocket."

They may have had something else in mind...

The circle is right, just like pi is approximately 3 and e is approximately 3 and that`s good enough.

Who cares if it`s not 100% accurate. After all, it`s not rocket science.

If you look at it, it`s not supposed to be a circle. It is the shuttle mission badge which looks like a circle that had had some of the edges pushed in. The wavy parts are symmetrical.

"what is the purpose? really something could have been done better for the 30th anniversary"

Considering how much space exploration has been slashed this was all they could afford.

For the next anniversary, they should send out a couple of rocket scientists with some string and chalk to mark out a circle first.

@Phestizio: "It`s Kennedy Space Center on Cape Canaveral"

Close, but no cigar. The Kennedy Space Center is on Merritt Island. It is next to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, which is actually on Cape Canaveral. Mercury and Gemini manned missions were all launched from Cape Canaveral. Most Apollo and all Shuttle missions were launched from the Kennedy Space Center.

There`s a tasteless joke to made about just which shuttle they were depicting at the 1:19 mark, but it`s hardly a challenge....

But all in all a decent vid...

That would have been really cool if it had been in tilt shift. It was really cool as is, but I just kept thinking I wish this was in tilt shift.

I am willing to bet that they did it on purpose. I am now off to research orbital trajectory to see if I could be right.

That`s why they need to do this on a football field, or at least mark up the lot beforehand.

Not really streach all hands out as far as you all can standing leaning back but not as far as to fall and technically you all should be stretched to a circle in diameter of postion spacing to one another and the wideness at witch you hold without breaking.

I think getting a circle at ground level like that would be pretty difficult. Neat picture, though.
