It saddens me to think this is happening where I live. Not that Orange County is a beacon of tolerance but I expected and hoped for more.

The event was to raise money for womens shelters, why would you protest that?"

I live in OC... and CA is pretty much the most liberal State in America, Most in Debt, most Illegal Immigrants, most spending budget, and most taxed. After have said that I believe CA is safe from Terrorist attacks for the fact of who will show sympathy to the ppl who attacked us but Democratic Liberals. I know that there were radical Muslims that attacked us on 9/11, so when did we stop protecting ourselves? If I recall my facts during WWII all Japanese Americans were put in interment camps for the safety of a domestic attack, were they murdered? NO!, did they understand why? Yes!.... so I know some ppl could associate that with a Nazi Regime, but the fact of the matter is only The Nazi`s were Nazi`s.. so why do we let ourselves be over run by Political correctness and reterik? ohh yea b/c ppl have feelings and ppl matter. I would rather be alive than right!

    You heard it here first
Lukgeezy thinks after invading a wrong country here and there 10 years ago in retaliation to the actions of a few extremists it`s now time to round up all the muslims and put them in interment camps. Because America is not their home and they`re fools for thinking that way.

Good job, your comment REALLY helped your cause. Did you dream of growing up to be bigot as a child?

    wow.
    dumb... faulkin... americans.

they`re brain washed by terror campaigns that hide behind the mask of "patriotism"

and they eat it up just cause someone said that was the patriotic thing to do, just like with their cars. They`ll buy domestic because the add said it`s patriotic, regardless of the fact that their chevys and fords will be useless after 120,000 miles while my 94` camry is at 255,000 and still runnin like clockwork.

these people need to realize the new world order agenda is true and is happening now and that the REAL terrorists are the authorities in the US, both political, and corporate.

"One nation under God, not Allah."

The word "Allah" is Arabic. If you translate it from Arabic into English you get the word "God". Allah is not like the name "Zeus", it is simply the word which means "God". Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all built around the same God. While they may have different accounts of that God, when you break it down their faith is still traced back to the same God. Some people are ignorant beyond belief.

drat YOU. I`ve lived in Newport Beach my entire life, and I have never seen racism like this. Apparently you don`t know how many hispanics and blacks live in orange county. Just because a small number of people go drating nuts does NOT mean their sentiments are widespread.
Get your poo together, and don`t make sweeping generalizations about a place you`ve never drating been to. That`s the equivalent of going "Oh, some black guys robbed a store? DAMN I am a racist!S ARE ALWAYS ROBBING PLACES." Or "Another suicide bomber? Every Muslim is a drating terrorist and needs to get out!" (Which is exactly the line of logic these stupid protesters are using). Way to be exactly like the protesters you piece of poo of a human being.

They`re still ignorant, but you`re not completely correct either. Allah is just an Arabic corruption of the Hebrew word Yahweh, which is a proper name for the Hebrew god. The mispronunciation of the Hebrew word became the root for "alleh" (plural "gods"). Muhammad`s big thing was the fight against polytheism and forcing the singular form "Allah", which is used as both a proper name and a descriptive noun.

Federal prosecutors have named three prominent Islamic organizations in America as participants in an alleged criminal conspiracy to support a Palestinian Arab terrorist group, Hamas.

Prosecutors applied the label of "unindicted co-conspirator" to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, and the North American Islamic Trust in connection with a trial planned in Texas next month for five officials of a defunct charity, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.

CAIR`s so called `fund-raising` ends up in terrorists hands, but of course this video won`t tell you that fact.

Several former CAIR officials have been convicted or deported after being charged with fraud, embargo violations, or aiding terrorist training.

Senator Boxer of California, a Democrat, withdrew an award she gave to an official at a local CAIR chapter. She said she had concerns about statements by some CAIR officials and abou

CrakrJak, this video shows white uneducated american bigots yelling at other americans, their families, of a different color and religion to get out, go home, among other things.

I`ll leave the accusations to the courts, according to your constitution that`s where belong, but one way or another: are you saying this excuses the actions of the protesters. Your little paragraph or three have nothing to do with the fascists with flags surrounding a muslim community at a fundraiser dinner held for americans. It`s like saying "jewish group `Bla` controlled the institutions that caused our most recent depression, let`s kick all the jews out and have some senators join us to make fun of their god in front of their children"

I hear the excuse all the time that the reason muslims protest against and say hateful rhetoric toward America and Americans is because our soldiers kill muslims there, and so their protests are seemingly justified by such.

So please tell me how muslims protesting America using hateful rhetoric and Americans protesting muslims using hateful rhetoric differs even one iota ?

@CrakrJak: no one`s protests that are based on hatred are justified. Muslims, Christians, or otherwise. Persecution in one part of the world is not a justification for persecution elsewhere. Persecution based on race/religion is just wrong, no ifs, ands or buts.
Muslims protesting America using hateful rhetoric is just as unjustified. "They`re doing it too!" isn`t a defense.

There is absolutely no reason a protest would erupt just out of the blue like this. This video is OBVIOUSLY very one-sided and biased. I`d love to hear the other side of this story. I bet it`s a lot different than this video portrays.

How does the American Government justify this as legal?

I understand free speech, I understand a right to protest, but this isn`t protesting. This is harassment, and racial profiling. I can`t believe this wasn`t broken up by authorities.

Calling innocent people `terrorists` because of their religion, or their ethnic background is just mind boggling. These people were there for charity. The US needs to do away with the `One Nation United UNDER GOD` crap and just go with `One Nation United` and embrace multiculturalism.

These abusive people who think they are protesting are just like the KKK, just rather than profiling black people they are profiling Arabs. If it is illegal to `protest` against Black People (which it damn well should be), why is it not illegal to do it to Muslims and Arabs?

This just sickens me. I`m Canadian and I fully support the ideal of free speech and the right to protest, but this is not protesting, this is harassment, racial pro

It`s simple why these people are so stupid. They hear one thing and don`t even think to question whether or not it`s true. They don`t gather evidence but assume it. Clear example: Some people are pro the revolts in Middle East right now and simultaneously still hate muslims. Considering the people revolting in the Middle East right now ARE Muslims, how can you support them if you hate them? It just takes a moment of thought to realize your entire system of belief is stupid.

In any case what does that really have to do with these people? You don`t like multiculturalism/pluralism? That`s not the idea derp! The goal is not to hate other people, and simply not because of some bad sheep they can be loosely affiliated with. This sort of rhetoric disturbs me deeply (to which I can`t overstate) and makes me wonder why they even call themselves `American`.

    Cajun - thanks

CrakrJak - If you believe these people should be protesting this event, I can accept that. But rather than throwing insults and harassing those attending, they should be trying to convince the people attending that they should donate money to a different organization. Make points like `this group you are donating to MAY be linked to terrorism, Don`t support them!` or something to that effect.

By throwing insults at the people attending a fundraiser for a charity(which all evidence i can dig up points to) they are not protesting, they are harassing and profiling, both of which to my knowledge are illegal in the US(they sure as hell are in Canada). Protests are about convincing people who are in attendance to an event to rethink what they are doing and possibly choose a different path, not about hurling racial and religious insults and implications.

Again i support a right to free speech and a right to protest, but I in no way support harassment

The attacking is what is wrong here. they were not there to protest, they were there to harass and incite negative response through racial and religious profiling. THAT should be illegal.

To further my point, lets say I think this organization is aiding terrorists. I truly believe that, but they are doing via a front that sells it to people as a charity. They claim they are helping the starving.

I can go to a fundraiser and scream bloody murder demanding they stop aiding terrorists as an organization, I can beg them to stop, close their doors and never ask for money again.

However, I can not turn to the people attending the fundraiser, who are there to actually try and help and are there because they believe in the front that the organization presents, and call them terrorists because of their race, religion, or their beliefs. THAT is harassment. THAT is wrong. And THAT is illegal here, and if it isn`t there it should be.

Those people are innocent, and have every right to believe what they want and have just as much of a right to be in North America as Caucasians and Christians do.

    >>What kind of religion advocates strapping bombs onto children?

Well, there`s Sura 3 - Ayat 195 where it says "And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes, or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or been slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the presence of Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards."

So here you have a guarantee of getting into Heaven for dying while you are killing non-Muslims. And the "Sword Verses" (such as Quran 9:5) command the faithful Muslims to kill non-Muslims "wherever you find them".

@CrakrJak - no it isn`t a line between what you can and can`t say, it is a line between protest and harassment.

This video is an example of harassment, not protest.

Protest (to express opposition) should be legal, regardless of the persons point of view.

Harassment (the act of tormenting by continued persistent attacks and criticism) is illegal in both Canada and the US and that is what this falls into.

the `protesters` are not expressing their views, they are directly attacking and criticising the people in attendance.

even if you feel that the attacks are legal in the sense that they may be supporting terrorists, and hence are speaking truth, the comments about race that were hurled around are RACISM, and even you can not argue that that is illegal. Directly attacking someone`s religion is also a hate crime covered under the same act that outlaws racist statements in your country

Durrell: That is where you are wrong. By your definition what the WBC does outside military funerals would be harassment as well. The supreme court has ruled that it isn`t harassment and that it`s free speech, as it should have.

Again, Just because you don`t like the speech or even believe that speech to be offensive doesn`t give anyone the right to infringe upon it.

Perhaps one day you might say something that someone else interprets as `harassment` and then you will wish you had the 1st amendment rights that Americans have.

That was in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq. You got to admit though they should be angry at us. After all we used some pretty harsh methods over there to secure our interests. The deposition of Hosni Mubarak can attest to that. Turkey has never been hostile towards jews, granted they now have an `unfavorable view`, doesn`t mean they`re hostile now.

then again the people of my country wouldn`t tolerate this either. I live in the most conservative part of my country and this seems despicable even by our standards. for every right there is a responsibility, and in this case the right of free speech comes with the responsiblity to act in a tasteful manner, that responsibility should be enforced by law when it is treading the road of a Hate crime

In true I-A-B style, the truth about this protest is completely neglected. First of all, the protest had nothing to do with the tea party.

Secondly, the REASON for the protest is that the speakers for this particular event were two radical imams, Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali (hence the references to terrorism). Of course, the intent of this post is to lead you to believe that these are just normal, peaceful Muslims being attacked by those darn racist tea partiers.

"Billy Boy faked the video of the Wisconsin protestor being violent. It`s old footage from
    a protest in california."

While it is true that the footage is from California, it is not "old" footage, and it is actually from another union rally... from last Saturday. So, while it is not from Wisconsin, as the segment indicated, it was still relevant to the story.

This hateful group absolutely represents the Tea Party. Those who are saying otherwise are mistaken. Google the group that organized this rally: We Surround Them OC 912. This is from the second paragraph on their home page, "See our "ABOUT" page... for video clip of our one of our Tea Party Rallies and details on the 9 Principles of The 912 Project"

The Tea Party movement was originally started as a way of hearkening back to the Boston Tea Party, a group of patriots which protested taxes levied on the import of Tea by dressing up as native Americans, sneaking aboard British ships in Boston Harbor, and dumping all the tea into the harbor.
The most recent rendition of the Tea Party as an actual political group is a serious perversion.
Get your facts right before making assumptions, some of us protested with the Tea Party movement a couple of years ago to protest taxes and unfair government practices, not because we agree with some Idealist`s rhetoric

Shouldn`t this be considered a hate crime the same as any other? I am ashamed that this is allowed to go on in this country. This is not what this country was founded on or what it should stand for or tolerate. This is not free speech at all this is racism and more. Last I knew it was illegal to fuel hate as these people are doing.

His sign was more than just hateful rhetoric, and bad misspelling, He was just arrested in New Jersey accused of trying to join Al-Qaeda. He plead guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder outside the United States, after telling an undercover New York police officer that he and his friend wanted to kill Americans and tried to board a plane at JFK airport to Egypt.

@Trypno I do understand the true history of the Tea Party. It was a Libertarian movement before it was hijacked by Fox News.

My comment was in response to @MeGrendel “And please remember, that We Surround Them OC 912 is not equivalent to the Tea Party. The Tea Party goes out of their way to make sure that no racist signs or chants appear at their rallies. If any show up, they are escorted out.”

Google We Surround Them OC 912. You will find that they are a part of the Tea Party. Their web page clearly states this. The big question is if the Tea Party really does frown upon racism where is the outrage from other Tea Party groups and from Fox News? I didn’t see any in my Google search results.

Still, not a single person has gone through the trouble to do a simple google search as to what this video is about. Everyone immediately takes it at face value and assumes it`s just a bunch of racists yelling at Muslims just for being Muslim.

On the contrary, they are protesting the appearance of two radical imams, Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali. These are anti-Semites who are there, quite literally, to preach hate. They openly support terrorist organizations such as Hamas. They preach about converting the entire world to Islam by force. Sounds pretty tame, right? They`re just having a peaceful gathering, right?

And yet, everyone who has posted immediately assumes the white conservatives are the hateful ones without even attempting to figure out the context.

Thanks for your insight into the "tiny nation" of Israel, but the truth is, is that Hamas poses a threat of sporatic rocket and gunfire attacks and suicide bombings, while Israel is one of the largest military forces of our earth, (for obvious reasons), and they have chosen to close off millions of peaceful people to access of fundamental necessities because they cant control the violent arm of Hamas and their funders. THey are responsible for all the people living in their nation and they very openly treat muslims and arabs as second class citizen and give priority to Jews. They are fueling the hatred against themselves and as the govt of the country, they have to set the example as a fair and decent society, regardless of what a small group of people do against them. Bulldozing and random sniper fire/bombings against its citizens are not even as bad as the blockaid and exclusion policies that govt carries out. what can/does hamas do worse than Israel?

"lets have angry white people stand outside a fundraiser and yell at young AMERICAN children to `GO HOME`"

How would you feel about it if the angry white people were replaced by angry black people, the radical imams were replaced by Aryan Nation leaders, and the Muslim attendees were replaced by white supremacists? Would you be so critical of the black protesters?

"turned up to protest where nothing more than single cell organisms - on other footage they can be heard yelling: `Why don`t you go beat up your wife?` and `Go have sex with a 9-year-old!`..."

The issue is not whether or not the protesters are using angry rhetoric, the issue is the reason for their anger. If you became more acquainted with the radical views expressed by the imams in question, you might be a little more sympathetic.

All Israel has to do to "fuel hatred against them" is to exist as a nation. I suppose the Jews brought the holocaust upon themselves as well, right? The nations surrounding Israel do not want to live peacefully with them. They want Judaism to be eradicated in the Middle East, and they do not even try to hide that fact.

Also, I dont blame jews for being the target of genocide and i dont blame the Jewish people of Israel for what their govt is doing. i do look at palistine and the gaza strip and clearly see a people who are oppressed by their govt to where they have no voice and no option but to rise up against the body that is oppressing them. If Israel treated everyone under their nation with the same respect, and protected their basic human rights, then Hamas would have no leg to stand on and lose their credibility. If you look at the beginning of the jewish state thru today, you will see that yes the arab world did not take it well initially, and they reacted like anyone would. But the way it has been handled since by the state of Israel has not helped acknowledge and clear up that

    Dear Rest of The World,
I, a citizen of the United States of America,
Would like to apologize for our nations lowest common denominator, and assure you that, though they may be the loudest voices in our people, they are far from the majority.
Our nation is mostly made of ordinary Joe`s and Jane`s, just trying to scratch out a living and feed they`re families, and maybe visit they`re parent`s during the holidays.
Most of us don`t wan`t to fight any wars or cause anyone trouble, there`s enough trouble in the world as it is.
So please, please, don`t judge us by our loudest voices or our crass media, by our war-hungry politicians or our xenophobic spokesmen.
No, judge us by our Friendly Store Clerks, our Underpaid Scientists, our Newspaper Deliverymen and our Car Mechanics, In a word, people, judge us by our people, and not the persona`s and faces pasted on them by singular, hate-full, loud voices.
    With respect, An Ordinary Joe.

Statement about False Video On YouTube Placed by CAIR
    From Rabbi David Eliezrie

ICNA, the Islamic Circle of North America sponsored a fundraiser at the city owned Yorba LInda Community Center with two known terror supporters as their keynote speakers. One was Abdel Malik Ali, a supporter of Hamas that demands Israel be eradicated and Jews killed all over the world. Watch him Link Joining him was Siraj Wahaj, an unindicted co conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing.

I participated in a peaceful protest on the lawn a hundred yards away from the Yorba Linda Community Center. The Mayor, city council members, congressman, the local reform rabbi, and others spoke.

Another demonstration started near the entrance of the Community Center. Those in the second rally spoke harshly as indicated on the video. We did not join them,

We did not join them, in fact we told people not to go there.

This video spliced images from the two events. It does not show me or other speakers with this group near the building entrance since I did not join them. Nor does it mention that the speakers at this event for a Muslim organization have a long history of supporting terror.

The edited video by CAIR is another incident in long history of distorting the truth. In their press release they state two of the fundraiser’s speakers, who were to speak on the "importance of charity in Islam” failing to mention one is in supporter of Hamas and the second was an unindicted co conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing.

Peaceful protest against those who call for the murder of Jews is not hatred. If we don`t speak out then we allow these to spew hatred against Jews to do so freely. The Hamas charter calls for the destruction of Israel. It also states that "The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews ; until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: Oh Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!”

Congressman Ed Royce also participated in the rally his statement:

"The Council on American-Islamic Relations this week attacked my calling attention to the two individuals keynoting a fundraiser for a New York-based Muslim group held at the Yorba Linda Community Center.

"I have had many conversations with my Muslim constituents over the years, and I know they reject these two individuals:

"One speaker, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, advocates replacing our democracy with sharia law and refuses to criticize Osama Bin Laden. There is nothing peaceful about him.

"Imam Siraj Wahhaj was linked by investigators to the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. A few years later, he stood as a character witness for Sheik Omar Abel-Rahman, and for three other terrorists convicted in the attack. The "Blind Sheik" is now serving a life sentence for conspiring to bomb a series of New York City landmarks in 1995.

"Wahhaj warns "If Allah says cut off their hand you cut off their hand. If Allah says stone them to death…then you stone them to death, because it’s the obedience of Allah and his messenger – nothing personal." This worldview is incompatible with American democracy, to say the least.

"The second speaker, Amir Abdel Malik-Ali, is a vocal supporter of Hezbollah, a terrorist group once called the "A-team" of terrorists by a top U.S. government official.

"Faced with Wahhaj`s ideology, we can go one of two ways. One, ignore expressions of extremism, essentially deem them acceptable, and undermine our values and government.

"Or two, we can speak out about Wahhaj and Malik-Ali`s extremism. For me, looking at the growth of terrorism overseas, and in our country, silence isn`t an option. Silence leads to the tragic mistake of denying that the Fort Hood shooter was a radical, advocating terrorist acts, despite his years of known adherence to such views.

"What`s wrong with the Holocaust survivor we heard speak about not wanting to live under sharia law? I think he had a point when he argued for the lessons of the Enlightenment and his preference for the U.S. Constitution. He knows that bad ideas can have bad consequences.

"We spoke at the park adjacent to the community center. It is regrettable that some protesters at the community center yelled insults at Imam Wahhaj`s supporters. Nothing though should deflect from the radicalism of Wahhaj and Malik-Ali.

"As to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, my experience is that it isn`t interested in bringing together Americans. If they were, they would be calling attention to Imam Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali`s radicalism, not advancing their cause."

Sorry for the long posts, I just thought people should know that the speakers at the podium in the video had nothing to do with the ones near the entrance to the building.

    @CrakrJak

Geez man you make me wish your crowd was in this video instead. Sounded like yours was actually focused on the real issue (the two Imams). Unfortunately the crowd that WAS featured seemed more interested in smearing Muslims.

    Soooo, kudos sir.

So ultimately what happened here IAB is that this crowd came here for a legitimate issue, but instead downplayed it and drew the limelight to themselves by using despicable rhetoric instead.

Hooray for love! Yay for peace! Let`s inject the fears and spread the hatred, because they`re not really fears or hatred but love for God, and before you know it, the United States is united no more!
