@alpensepp.
The Southwest flank of Kilauea specifically Pu`u O`o vent has been flowing and spouting since 1987 non stop.

@mr. fibbles
11 meters is over 33 feet or over 3 stories high. How big is irrelevant. It`s the power of the surge and then especially the undertow created on the drawback. Then it keeps coming back and forth in several sets liken a washing machine.

That dosent look like 11 meters high, that just looks like a big floating suburb on the move

So far we`ve had Chile, New Zealand, China, Haiti, and Japan. San Andreas is definitely next, horrible but true. My geology class was talking about these fault lines and each major fault line is due for an epic quake I guess. So far, we have seen this come true. I wish I could go help out in some sort of relief effort...

Swept away by a tidal wave - and on fire! Double plus badness!

I am SOOOO grateful I live on the Candain Shield. Even if there`s a BLIZARD on tonight. Small potatoes compared to this.

Jesus, that`s bad. I live in a coastal Oregon town and we had to evacuate this morning. Ripped up our harbor and swept some boats out to sea, but that`s about it. There`s still a man missing down in Northern California though.

Concetra is right - Fred Phelps is going to blame Shintoists and other "godless heathens" for this.

They`re having trouble cooling a reactor so the US is sending over coolant until they can get the generators working again.

I admit i am a sick bastito but the only thing I thought when I heard about the earthquake/tsunami was that Japan will probably rebuild/recover from this and I will still be hearing about how Hati still needs help.

they could be having anoher nuclear problem. i think one of the nuclear plants shut down and they are trying to cool it or something.

Yeah the Tsunami wrecked Japan`s oil depots, causing a tide of oil to float along on top of the ocean water, and then when it was ignited there was nowhere for it to go by right along with the water. Was watching live feed in Japan earlier that showed almost the whole coast burning.

pancake414, are you sure that`s a man or is it just the leading edge of the water coming behind the truck? It`s hard to tell...

@ Zghost:
god didn`t cause this, a shifting of the plates causes earthquakes which then caused this tsunami... just saying.

My thoughts with those devasted by this natural disaster.

So I`m currently having an argument with someone who is deathly convinced that the emergency at the nuclear plant is what caused the quake, and not the other way around. *faceplam*
