Chubby Kid And His Bully: What Happened To Them?

Well, we were all wondering if the kid got in trouble and what happened to the bully. The outcome still seems unfair.

*obhwfgirl, are you fuxking serious? If this isn`t the first time the bigger kid`s been pushed around, good on him. This is exactly what self defense is. He removed the threat after giving the skinny kid a chance to screw off.

Good on him for standing up for himself, and the school board should be ashamed of themselves for suspending the kid being bullied.

I think it`s a disgrace. We seem to punish strength and fortitude at every given opportunity. He should have gotten an award and a handshake. Something to the tune of, "Hey kid, that was an awesome thing you did there. You were angry, but gave the bully an opportunity to back off. And it was only until you saw that he would not that you decided to act and then walk away when you could have done more damage. Good for you..."

But, no... Our feeble human brains think they have a concpet of what is fair, disregarding any intrinsic, ontological value whatsoever...

Honestly, the big kid did engage in a violent act that went beyond pure self-defense. Victims can easily become bullies themselves if they take their power too far.

Honestly the four days is likely going to be a vacation for him, i`m sure his parents are glad he stood up for himself so I doubt he`ll be grounded during that time. Four day weekend WOO!

Thats sad, they shouldn`t punish the bullied one, he just defended himself.

I used to get bullied, so I`m glad the bullied kid came out of it alright.
Still shouldn`t have been suspended, he was defending himself, it`s not like it wasn`t provoked.
I`ve punched bullies before, the school told me off but my mum agreed with me xD

I feel like four days is pretty fair for the big guy. He probably could have reacted better (held the bully down for a few minutes until a teacher came by) but kudos to him for remaining calm as long as he did. He gave the bully many chances to leave him alone, but I guess the bully just really wanted to get his sh*t f**ked up.

I feel better now. I was hearing the little punk didn`t get in any trouble. Yea, it sucks, but the bigger kid did engage in violence so 4 days is okay to me. Gives time for the school environment to calm down.

Some things never change. I hated when teachers told me I was supposed to walk away instead of defending myself. Where are you supposed to walk to when your trapped in a corner. I guess they gave him 4 days just to shut the other parents up.

stupid teachers and most parents think that if you are being picked on come to an adult and tell them. That doesn`t help at all! they probley suspended him thinking that he should off ran and tattled tailed on the kid. Wich is just as wrong

There is no reason Casey should be suspended. Was he supposed to just stand there and let the f###ing little prick punch him repeatedly. The little bastard is lucky Casey didn`t curb stomp him and the other puke who got in his face.

Of course it sucks that the kid defending himself got suspended, but there are reasons schools have and must have a zero-tolerance policy on fighting. They mitigated his punishment - but whether one starts it or not, fighting in school will get you in trouble.

I`m glad Casey only got four days compared to 21, but I still feel like the whole self defense thing should have gotten him off. Still, good for him, it`ll make that twig think twice from now on.

What the hell was that kid doing, bullying a guy 3 times his weight? The dumb brat should`ve been expelled for stupidity instead.

@Khronnus

"Look at the potential? He was turned upsidedown and thrown into conrete. It was so close to his head a hit like that could of actually killed him."

And the punches that little kid threw in the first place could have killed the "chubby kid" (whose name is Casey, I believe).

If you start the violence, you have no right to complain when it escalates back at you.

Casey resorted to violence in response to a violent assault that had been made, and was continuing, against him. He acted to stop the assault, and was successful. He did not then continue to fight back once the assault had been stopped; he walked away rather than continuing to hurt the little kid (which he was clearly quite capable of doing).

In my book, that makes it an act of self-defence. If I were his father, I`d be behind him 100%, and he`d spend those four days having all the fun he wanted.

I dunno, some people would embrace the time off from school for the suspension. Everytime a kid messed with me in jr high, I made SURE the yard lady saw me break the punks nose. 4 days off from a place I hated for standing up for myself. I now tell my son that he will NEVER be in trouble at home when he gets suspended for standing up to a bully.

In my old school, suspensions were handed out to all parties involved in a fight, regardless of circumstance.

I watched the video without reading the title, I was guessing that the kid being bullied was the skinny kid and he had enough of it so he came up to the fat guy and finally took a stand, but got owned.

The fat kid did not want to resort to violence but what he did was necessary. The bullying would have continued indefinitely unless he defended himself. By letting people know that he would defend himself, he has stopped the bullying.

On the one hand, I see the point of suspending both kids, since both of them resorted to violence. We should always try to teach kids to find better solutions.

On the other hand, I totally feel for the big kid. That was me when I was in school, and trust me...the little Gollum bullies NEVER get in proper trouble. Teachers, parents, principals, etc...seemed to ignore the situation, until I took things into my own hands and then I was the only one to get in trouble. I say, good on the big kid :)

HA! Only four days for a body slam like that? I almost got suspended for giving a friend a joking slap upside the head, I was afraid they would have expelled the poor chubby kid. Let this be a lesson to tiny aggressors that being skinny doesn`t give them the upper hand because it just means they`re easier to throw around like rag dolls! If this were my kid I`d let him do whatever he wanted during those four days.

Everyone is saying "The bully was ok, he`s fine no halm done."

Look at the potential? He was turned upsidedown and thrown into conrete. It was so close to his head a hit like that could of actually killed him.

That kid deserved a smack. A few smacks. A good kick. But not that.

So I can see why they would suspend him as well. But look, it was only 4 days. That`s nothing.

Same thing happened to me once. I was being beat up and I pushed a guy down the stairs. I got suspended for a week. He got 2 weeks.

this is the world we live in today thanks to today parents. they teach kids to be WUSSIES of the first order.

if you defend yourself you get suspended too for being "violent".

BULLCRAP. parents, stop coddling your children and teach them to EARN accolades and praise and what right is and what wrong is. When their teach calls your home complaing about them, DO NOT defend the brat, spank his/her ass.

oh and yes I have kids, so don`t bother. there are few real parents left these days and all we have now are parents teaching children they are "special" no matter what...sorry but that is BS.

this kid defended himself and should be praised for it not suspended.

Getting suspended for defending himself is a load of crap. What the fat kid did wasn`t excessive at all. If anything, he used too little force. The bully was unharmed and walked away, so I`m sure he`ll be back again.

I think it`s fair. 4 days is nothing compared to what the other kid got. a body slam seemed to be a little bit over the top. If all he did was push him away, then I don`t think there should have been any punishment.

Seems pretty fair to me, I loved watching that video but even if it was self defence it was excessive and he needed some sort of punishment. A few days off school to let the situation cool down was actually probably a good thing and its not as if the bully got off lightly, 21 days suspension is a punishment, 4 days is a holiday.

Four day suspension for what was clearly self-defence? Next time, fatty needs to hold onto that kid`s ankles while face planting him onto pavement. If you`re going to get reprimanded, might as well make sure it`s earned. Besides, that bully-twig will definitely exact revenge some day (soon) so stay tuned.

Lastly, do we really know for certain why fatty was target of being bullied? He may have done something unseen in video to cause the bully to be agressive towards him and therefore earn the 4 day detention.

(kinda felt good watching it though)

Don`t really think it`s the best caption for this article considering the kid has been bullied about his weight for years!

I agree with them both being suspsended, schools can`t be seen to condone violence for any reason but I do think it`s great the bullied kid only got 4 days.

It funny that they you to “stand up for yourself” but they want you to stand up to violence in a non-violence way.
Now if we could only get the schools to stand up to bullys.

I`m happy that the aggressor got 21 days, and the big kid only 4. Too often the school `pencil pushers` just suspend BOTH kids an equal amount, evidence (and common sense) be damned!
I agree it`s too bad he was punished at all, I think he displayed amazing restraint.

I thought it was even funnier when that kid got dropped. Dunno why riseplease19 didn`t find it funny. That kid clearly deserved it.

As for suspension? The zero tolerance poo is BS. That kid clearly stood there trying to stop the fight for awhile before finally fighting back. Teaching kids it`s never okay to use violence is hippie bullpoo. Sometimes you DO have to use violence.

It`s pretty normal for both sides to get a suspension in school. I do disagree with it, though. I`d say that little kid had plenty of chances to stop, and the bigger kid calmly neutralized the situation and went about his day. Sure he could of stuck around and whooped on him some more but he didn`t, good for him.
