The rest of the world may not care, but most (if not all) of us Canadians consider him a hero.

R.I.P Roger Abbot
R.I.P John Morgan

Survived by Luba Goy and Don Ferguson.

All the world`s a stage, and your parts were far too short.

This show (and him) is one of the reasons why we don`t get that upset when people from other countries make fun of us. We have learned how to make fun of, and to laugh at ourselves.

I mentioned this to my wife, who`s Canadian. She asked me if he had been sick, so I went onto google. Apparently he finally passed away after a 14-year battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Man, that`s a bad beat.

I saw some Canadians complaining that comments were insensitive, so I scrolled through but I don`t see anything that bad. Not for I-A-B standards anyway. What am I missing here?

HEY! DARKHUMOUR! I, as an American of English Heritage, was appalled when Bush called England our "greatest friend." I think that Canada is as great a country as the US is, that we have no greater friend than Canada, and that we are lucky to have the friendship we do with Canada.

I live within 30 minutes of the border and used to go for a visit all the time. My attitude was always that crossing the US/Canada border was no big deal for US and Canadian citizens. And I mean this in both directions. Us visiting you, and you visiting us. It was like going to your best friends house. After a while you almost don`t have to knock. Then they went and started requiring passports, and...well, let`s just say I miss Canada. CANADA! USA! CANADA! USA!

I vaguely remember this guy. I`m not particularly concerned. I haven`t seen anything from him in a while. 64 is not long enough of a life.

Sad news indeed. There are LOTS of funny Canadians, more than I can list, but few produced truely funny material for as long a career as Roger Abbot. Also he was (by many reports) a genuinely, really nice guy.

Actually, most Americans and Canadians have a love and mutual respect for each other. We share a lot.

America has such an inferiority complex for Canada, no other nation in the world depends on us so much and then at the same time makes fun of us. drat OFF AMERICA go eat your McDonalds and drat your inbred sisters while the rest of the world laughs and watchs as you fall into ruin. Cya !

Almost made RCAF bearable. Almost.
And to my fellow Canadians that will give me guff, I grew up with a grand total of 2 channels, and I still despised that show.
