The "Soccer field in Minamisanriku" is the one that stuck out a bit more than the others to me. H SOS written in the soccer field.

This is just horrible. I`ve seen a commercial I think on the Weather Channel about us as human beings one day being able to stop natural disasters. By the looks of this, that is a LONG time off I hate to say, my prayers are still with everyone that was affected by this.

The most poigniant part, for me, is the 5th pic from the bottom on page 2. The football pitch now with the "SOS" helicopter pad. The white stripes at the top of the pitch are bodies, layed out for identification.

vv Much love, Handys. This site is a better place with people like you around. Whatever the Hawaiian is for "good guy", you`re one of them.

Dude, as madest said this link was submitted multiple times, and fiizok submitted it before you did. It just takes time to dig out the quality links like this one. Heck, on the Atheist vs Chaplain one posted earlier, Danthew (the submitter) commented that he submitted it so long ago that he forgot he even submitted it. There`s currently 545 submissions in the queue and we get about another 100-200 per day. Don`t hate the players dude, hate the game.

p.s. This was a great link, and it understandable people get pissed off that a good link doesn`t get attributed to them. But rest assured, there`s no conspiracy. All good content is welcomed, please don`t let it put people off submitting quality links to the I-A-B community. The day people stop submitting to I-A-B, is the sad day we have to go offline... Keep it coming!

Although I am saddened by some of these posts that fail to see the horrible destruction, I understand. When I saw the images of Katrina, I wasn`t bothered, and reacted the same as many of you. However, because this disaster directly affected me (I am Japanese) I am deeply disturbed by these images. I am not angry at those who post responses with humor, but jealous--they have not experienced such a disaster, and I for one hope no one here ever does. My prayers are my relatives and everyone else in Japan- be strong!

"I was making whooshing noises and didn`t notice for a minute..."

I was making grass grow in record time saying "Let there be [certain items]" and I knew it the whole time. I`m going somewhere relative to Hell. :/

Not a stupid question, I was wondering the same thing. I`m thinking because of all the mud and debris.

I feel like an idiot asking this, but why are the after shots so much darker than the originals? Do they dim the colors so its easier to tell them apart?

It`s...it`s like you`re wiping away the houses and land when you scroll over...this is just so horribly unreal! This really puts everything into perspective for those of us who are so physically removed by distance and whatnot. I`ve seen the pictures, but this makes it so much worse...
