Falling: Seniors biggest problem

This is actually something really important for people, like seniors, who have problems with balance and increased danger in falling. These books usually show how to make sure that your home does not have some of the things most common to cause fall accidents and things to avoid outside the home that can cause a great deal of falls. I`m sure for young people who don`t have to worry about this kind of thing, it seems strange, but I hardly see it as a joke in itself.

"Self Published" and distributed by Firefly. There is no book deal as intended. Author took risk with own money.

Pretty boring. The sequel, `How Not to Sh*t Yourself When You Fart`, is a must-read for the Over 40`s though.

Really, this book would be wonderful to give to people. Working in a nursing home, you tend to freak out when ANYBODY falls, even when you`re not at work.

Falling is a pretty big issue among older people and can be fatal. That`s why 9 out of 10 hospitals have falling prevention programs for the elderly. Just sayin`.

My fiance`s grandfather badly broke his leg by falling and then died during the surgery to fix it. If a fall can be avoided, that`s best.

As hard as it might be to imagine for those of us whose bodies can still take a fairly good beating with no serious damage, a simple fall from a standing position can cause disabling or fatal injuries for the elderly. Working in assisted living, I cared for three different residents who died from their injuries after falling (No, I didn`t push them down.)

Go ahead and laugh.. just check up on the average survival rate after a year of getting a hip fracture when you`re in your 70`s and onwards. (hint.. there`s a one in three chance you won`t like what happens)
