UFO Seen Above Utah County With Video

Submitted by: ilovmiguel 6 years ago in

A strange UFO appeared in the night sky over Utah, and appeared to drop a flare. Strong evidence--do you believe now?

I would love to know what this guy did in the Air force to say flares are ejected the way he describes. I am a weapons specialist in the Air force and know exactly how flares are ejected.

I believe in life on other planets and that maybe we get visited every now and then, but this was most definately an aircraft dropping flares. (MJU`s not LUU`s).
BTW, I was also working on the flightline at Davis Monthan during the "lights over Phoenix" drama and know what the triangle shaped object was and the flares...sorry those weren`t aliens either.

Angilion - the best part was where the drunk aliens always buzz some guy driving alone through the desert at three in the morning.

People seem to forget that UFO means "Unidentified Flying Object" This means that if you can`t explain it then yes it`s a UFO. They never said "Flying saucer" so yes it is a UFO

Isn`t it true that Scientists are coming to the conclusion that the only thing life needs to exist is water in some form?
What is life anyways, we understand life and living beings in what we see on Earth. What tells us that life can only show up in the same conditions this planet has (Sun, water, air, etc.) ?
Not even that. There are things living on Earth without sun or air, in pressures of tonnes per square inch and temperatures of over 100C. Some of them have a biology based on sulphur and sulphuric acid. No joke. It`s only very primitive lifeforms, mainly bacteria, but it does demonstrate that life can exist in wider conditions than had been thought.

The only internally consistent explanation I can think of is one used as a joke by Douglas Adams in the Hitchhikers series:

There are civilisations with such advanced technology that interstellar spaceships are roughly comparable with a cheap car in a rich country on Earth today.

As a result, there are adolescents roaming around the universe in their spaceships, sometimes drunk. Some of them find it amusing to mess with the heads of the primitives on some planets, so they put lights outside their shielding and dart around in low atmosphere, stuff like that.

Otherwise, it`s just plain silly. Anyone with technology so incomprehensibly advanced that they can travel between stars is not going to be detected by a human and a camera.

@Angilion

Yeah, its like the odds of life in other planets is much higher than the odds of the Earth being just the only planet in the whole universe with life on it.

What is life anyways, we understand life and living beings in what we see on Earth. What tells us that life can only show up in the same conditions this planet has (Sun, water, air, etc.) ?

Also, I believe in extraterrestrial life, but this doesnt have to automatically mean Intelligent beings...

I don`t believe in extraterrestrials.

I consider it probable that there are people of other species on other planets, i.e. extraterrestrials.

And no, that is not the same thing. Not at all.

I consider it probable simply because of the scale of this galaxy, let alone the observable universe. It clearly isn`t impossible for people to exist (because we exist), so it`s just a matter of probability. As far as we can tell it`s extremely unlikely to happen, but there are so many stars that even the most spectacularly unlikely series of events will probably occur repeatedly.

If, for example, it was so unlikely that the chance of it happening was only 1 in 1,000,000,000 that would still mean at least 200 seperate species of people on different planets in this galaxy alone. I think it`s probable that there are at least 2.

I mean, we don`t know how much our lives will change in 10 or 15 years, it`s impossible to say because tech is moving so fast. How much more advanced will we be in 1000 years time? How much more advanced would a species with 2000 years behind them be? Advanced enough to observe without intruding that is for certain. There is no doubt in my mind that we are not alone in the universe, but there is still much progress to be made. 100 years ago right (the life span of ONE long lived human) we got around by horse and cart, and now we fly jets to the other side of the world. 100 years! I mean really, that`s no time at all, really no time at all. My Grandma has been on this planet for that length of time and trying to comprehend that we have gone from that to this.... blows my mind to be honest. Aliens? Maybe. Here and now? Are they hell mate, got better things to do to be honest. Probably observing us from 2 galaxies away ^^

I am all for the idea that life exists outside our solar system, but this is stupid. They are military flares, dropped for an exercise or something who knows. There remain few, if any, convincing accounts of "encounters", with these few being the -only- cases that were fully documented and verified by more than one or two witnesses and that had electronic data to go with them, but even these are much, much, much more likely to be some country mucking about with a new tech than actual encounters.

There is a video somewhere that summarised my point of view entirely, there -has- to be life out there, but would it care about us? Like we care about chimpanzees? "ooo look it made a stick tool!" to us it`s novel, to them we would be that kind of equivalent but in the other direction. Maybe they view us as such a young species still they just won`t bother for a few 10s of thousands of years.

@ParasyT, there is a huge leap to get from the belief in the existence of extraterrestrials to believing that they are coming here. Physics, as far as we know, makes it highly unlikely at best. Even if they were somehow coming here, the level of technology required would make it highly unlikely that we would see them as strange lights in the sky. Even if they were coming here and we could see them, the proposed reasons for their visitations amount to nothing more than scifi fantasies. I have yet to hear a reasonable explanation for aliens visiting earth beyond the catch-all, "they are aliens, so their reasons would be alien to us".

This video is simply a news program exploiting "UFO" as a buzz word for aliens to boost ratings. Like so much of what is classified nowadays as news, it is a non-story.

@ParasyT

I believe life exists on other planets as well. Mathematically it`s impossible to deny. What kind and capability to exist in our environment is another concern.

What I don`t believe in is visitation from such. Until scientifically proved with physical evidence beyond doubt. Then ET`s visiting will not exist here on this earth.

When people say they do not believe in extraterrestrials it just makes me laugh. There are an estimated 300 sextillion stars in the universe and what makes you think that only one of them has a planet capable of life?

I see this almost every day because I look up at the sky while walking in the night every night. It`s just freaking rocks burning up in the atmosphere and the occasional satellite. Nothing odd.

What sucks about nowadays is that anything can be faked to near perfection. But there are still ignorant people who don`t know what they are seeing. So UFOs are pretty much impossible to prove with video/photo/witness evidence. I don`t know if they are aliens, because that`s crazy unlikely, but at the same time, they do exist. At least we aren`t blaming the unknown on God anymore...

Fill a trash bag with a flammable gas which is lighter than air(we used the outlets used for space heaters in an old house). Tape it closed and tape a length of toilet paper to it. Let it float up into the air like a balloon. Light the toilet paper fuse and release. It looks a lot like this video when the bag catches fire.

You are correct and they never said it was aliens, but it made the news because stupid people automatically think UFO means aliens. Why else would they consider it worthy of being on the 5 o`clock news?

yep flares. 1950s sightings = UAV testing during the beginnings of the cold war. 1990s sightings = UAVs testing, fuelled with the imagination of xfile viewers. Alien abduction = Sleep paralysis.

It doesn`t have to be an "alien from outer space" to be a UFO, eh?
Mysterious lights & sightings have been going on for many hundreds of years, some are simply unexplained.

Government: It was a weather balloon, and that`s the truth! Our FINAL word on the subject.
1 year later: Ok, ok, we lied! It was a high-altitude parachute test! This time we`re telling the final truth, honest we are!

It must be aliens from another planet since it is clearly impossible for any 10 year old to attach fireworks to a balloon..

Why do people insist on using the term UFO to mean aliens? That was a UFO- at present anyway. once they find out what it was it will no longer be unidentified. It certainly won`t be extra-terrestrials, or ghosts!
