Link: Time-Lapse Makes This Church Look Like CGI - This is a real church in Poland. But with some video trickery it goes from dilapidated to breathtaking. Skip to 1:20.

Slow chord progression and clever use of pan, tilt, zoom can make a donkey dick seem epic.

It is a pretty church though without the epicness of the filming.

Brillant video, I loved the first beginning shots of the wood and the sun rays - the way that they have portrayed immersed myself into this church. You could almost imagine/feel the textures of the old wood or the smell of the dust.

    Yeah.

Probably one of the only churches I could see myself getting married in.
I think I have an abandoned building fetish though... is that a thing? Thank god my tetanus shots are up to date :)

If we are lucky, all churches of all donomiations will soon end up like this one, eroded and crumbling to the ground.

it`s the HDR manipulation that makes this look CGI, not the time-lapse.

    @ auburnjunk

My comments had nothing to do with faith and/or different belief systems, only that organized religion is a sham and the obvious root to most of the evil in the world.

I`d much rather see the structures made into something more useful than to just have them crumble. Turn them into sex shops and strip joints. :D

Time lapse, I`d say that the CGI feel comes from HDR imaging, there`s a reason they don`t have dark parts in CGI (unless it has to be that way).

Not all churches are out for your money or to judge you. When you say all especially if you do or never have gone and couldn`t possibly have knowledge of all churches and religions in this world you are stating this from what you hear and stereo types you are therefor full of crap i rest my case lol :D
BTW beautiful church here shame it is in such bad shap.

No. It goes from dilapidated to dilapidated and well lit.

I found the video very dull. The music, on the other hand, was good.

    [quote"> Skyrim: 11.11.11! [/quote">
That has nothing to do with this video, but I agree. Skyrim FTW.

If you want to watch a video with good music and some interesting "time lapse", then this is your best bet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQEXt1P0OkI&feature=related

The cinematographers will know, eh. Is the camera on a lift taking stills every second or so. Watch the light move over the floor and the leaves on trees fluttering. I really liked the effect, warm gold tones. A softy for that kinda stuff.

deep focus also helps create the cginess of the image, and yes liked the tones and the chiaroscuro shots.

Just goes to show the most important part of film making is filmography. If the cameraman doesn`t catch it, it didn`t happen.
