The real chain goes like this:

Intelligentsia > Politicians > Media > Consumers > Corporations.

"I`m glad we are giving the Corporation CEOs their tax cuts back. Now we will see some real trickle down benefits."

Ummm. They pay far more in taxes than you do and far more than their fair share.

This is mostly Communist propaganda. Corporations are slaves to their consumers. The world is the way it is because that`s how people wanted it and how they voted with their dollars.

It`s the reality of the trickle down theory. It`s just not showing the part where the politicians give the corporations the money to buy food which starts the poo.

The Indian dude (Kal Penn) in Harold & Kumar didn`t go to jail, you`re thinking of Shelley Malil (older guy) from "40 Year old Virgin". Kal Penn left the White House last summer to film "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas" but I think he returned to office again back in November when they were done filming.

"I saw "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" so I know indian people are no differant than us.... lazy and like to get stoned."

Well, dude, the indean dude in the movie is jailed for life for murder. One of the other actors is working for the president, and NPH is more popular than ever. That entire movie was to help out all cooportations whos products were placed in that movie.....Fail/Fail

.........Funny movie though

@chimmeychang & cajun- You don`t really think that the bit from Yes Men that you`re discussing is real, do you? Because it`s not. You need to watch the whole movie for context. The makers of the movie, as a prank, pitched the idea (and others) to see what people`s reactions would be. But there is nothing in that movie to suggest that ANYBODY actually implemented it.

@chimneychang

Try looking up "Yes Men". If nothing comes up on IAB try google. Where I was going with that is India`s eating our reprocessed crap after the fact that we (ordinary people) just ate more crap.

Hmm not quite, especially considering media is run by corporations. "Corporations" here are the generic rightwing corporations, while "Media" is leftwing corporations, which are bothing pooping on the plate of the politicians, who in turn take a dump on the citizens` plate.

However, if we actually hold our politicians accountable by joining groups, writing letters, and/or electing them out of office, then chances are greater that this chain doesn`t happen.

@IshiiDaFishy
"Average citizens" didn`t put them on that pedestal, they climbed up there themselves. The "average citizen" resents them for it (hence the above illustration). If the power to "put them on the pedestal" lied with the rest of the population, they wouldn`t be there. However any one individual of the general population has the power to raise themselves up.

@Volsunga

But the `average` citizen has placed the other three on a pedestal, giving them their own power.

@cajun, great video, has that been posted here? I have mixed feelings about it though. The idea of recycling nutrients is great, we already do that with plants as a buffer(we also feed beef the parts of beef humans wont eat){its how we got mad cows disease}. I am glad the students were opposed to the idea that we treat our domestic animals better than people in 3rd world countries. I am hoping its the inequality, and not the technology they were opposed to. Chances are this will be a most valuable technology when we start to move out into space:)
