I asked a family cop once if they really monitor speeds with aircraft. He sort of laughed and said, "No. Do you have any idea how much it costs to put a plane in the air?"

How long before the Parking Authority tickets the flaming wreckage for being in a no stopping zone?

the number two highway in Alberta Canada actually uses aircraft to enforce speed limits via taking pictures. They typically use low altitude craft like Cessnas and it works just like photo radar.

Congratulations, all of you who correctly identified this as fake. Your skills of observation are truly unparalleled. I can only imagine what it must be like to see "Transformers" in the same theater as you people.

I saw these signs everywhere driving from FL to MA... I definitely got a LOL out of them imagining that we had F4 Phantoms or something waiting for some douche to go over 70 MPH so he could throw sidewinders at him.

"Break the speed limit, I break your car, jerk..."

Man, remember when Apaches didn`t sound like lawnmowers? Good times.

Way to make a cruddy video based on an actually funny picture though.

I would believe every second of that- apart from the fact that none of those cars were going faster than 50! But I love the principle!

Not a bad idea for a video, but maybe you shouldn`t clue us into the surprise with 30 seconds of apache prop noise

For real tho, I was on the fwy and I saw a plane, painted light blue on the bottom, loitering over the road. It had to be a highway patrol plane, it was too low and too slow. I lost sight of it for a minute, and could not find it again. How it works is there are little stripes on the side of the road in given intervals- they time how long it takes you to go that far, then get a quick description of the car to give to cops on the ground.

Cute and crappy at the same time, considering that this "tactic" is used a lot in Afghanistan and Iraq by United States troops.

Yeah for the war of occupation (x2)
