what we DIDNT see were the millions of failed attempts. picture the same music in the background, but played over this guy failing, time and time again. it would be comical.

"Some of these shots are just incredible"

no, all of these shots are inevitable given that these types of videos work because they edit out all, the fails and just keep trying the same stuff till they get one that works.

The day I see one of these videos done in one straight take with multiple tricks all coming off after each other I`ll be impressed.... but this isn`t that vid.

Don`t want to take too much credit away from him, but any above average Sunday Morning league player could do these tricks given a few attempts.

To people complaining about his goalkeeping abilities, if you actually are keepers and don`t recognise basic training routines then you should swap clubs to one with half decent coaches. Also, its a lot better to tip it wide for a corner than try and catch it and risk spilling it to a striker for a 6 yard tap in.

PS He wishes he was big Eddy Van Der Sar.

most of these arent applicable on the pitch thats true. however you must admit that this kid has skills. gotta have damn good accuracy to perform most of those. as for the goalie saves, even i can do those lol

fairly decent video. Now show us the hundreds of out take shots it took to make it.

Why, why does he have to wear those stupid gloves while he`s doing a bunch of kicking?
he goes to the ground way too often. and those consecutive shots, the second to last one he should`ve known it was wide or he doesn`t know his goal dimensions
Getting down quickly to get your hands to the ball is the sign of a good goalie, which is what he was demonstrating. And it`s always better to put it out for a corner just in case than risk it when it`s that close to the post. Nobody is going to criticise a goalie for putting itt out in that situation, because without eyes in the back of your head you can never be 100% sure where the posts are when your eye is on the ball. The mantra of goalies and defenders - if in doubt, put it out.

Some decent tekkers... He`ll Never be able to emulate them on the pitch though. Still no Pepe Reina.

Surely getting it in the back of the net is better than hitting the posts ;)

Lol... id like to see him do some of that when it counts on the pitch.. £10 says he cant lol.

fair play on some of the striking but his saving wasn`t impressive.

the kicking is good but really those saves were bog standard goalkeeping practice for moving across the goal. not much venom to the shots. Oh, and insanmonster, `goaltending`...really? Do you have to?

I would definitely say he is a really good goaltender but he needs a little work on his form, sometimes when he jumps he lands with his elbow tucked and he could injure himself or it could knock the wind out of him and possibly let a ball through

Looked pretty cool. Hell of a jump on the one save.
The video evaqua posted of him is pretty tight too.

Watch what that guy does in real games. It`s unfair, I want to be on his team.

those aren`t goalkeeper tricks
just trick shots
René Higuita did the best goalkeeper trick out there, with his scorpion save

the rest of the video was very much what high school players practice, it may look like skill, but most can`t replicated anything similar while up again opponents

Meh, i can program 400 lines of code in 8 hours, diagnose a pc issue in less than 2 minutes, crimp an rj in about 30 seconds and you dont see me putting a video on the internet about it.
Actually if i could i would

rockincockin... the point is he can hit the post, most other people just do goal shots, the size of the goal is massive so doesnt really show skill... hitting the bars is a step up.

I don`t even get it. He scored like 3 and all the other one he hit the posts. Not very impressive at all.

This guy is no joke, he plays professionally without pay (so as not to lose NCAA eligibility) in his native Finland during the summer, and scored an 80 yard goal in May 2010.

Unless you are an NCAA Division I goalkeeper, he is better than you.

Maybe if he spent less time practising hitting the post and more time practising saving he`d be a better goalie...

I guess they can use him as goalkeeper or forward if needed lol
okay nice shooting skills but his goalkeeping skills were kinda mediocre. as a goalie myself I can tell you that he makes a whole lotta mistakes and if he was a little faster on his feet he would not have to make those gallery dives and be able to catch the ball more often.
A little slow or deliberately exaggerating to look more impressive on video? No way of knowing, really.

Yeah, sure, you look good in practice. Only an idiot doesn`t look good in practice. Lemme take some shots at you from the 18, then we`ll see how good you are.

Meh, boring tricks backed with pooe music. When I see a video of someone doing a load of things like this one after the other with no cuts I`ll be impressed.

In fairness though that was hardly worth making a video about. It was all pretty basic stuff really. Anyone who`s played a small bit of soccer should be able to do all of that.

Goalies should have good control of the ball.

They need to put it to a certain place on the pitch during goal kicks. That`s harder than it seems.
