@I-IS-BORED

It is not shoop`d, actually; it`s specifically the result of some anti-choice organizations Googlebombing those keyphrases. Google is very sensitive to trends- if a couple hundred people repeatedly do a search for "Term X," and click on "Search Result N," Google assumes that`s what people are looking for and puts it higher in the rankings, until the trend ceases.

However, by releasing this picture: curious people will attempt to replicate the results (for tehluls or verification) which continues the trend and will maintain the search results.

Welcome to the tech age- where a handful of people with free-time can make a big impression.

actually a fish has these sweet attachments on it called gills, and what those do is filter the oxygen out of the water they "breathe" in. So fish don`t breathe water at all, they breathe oxygen just like everyone else, but instead of filtering it from a collection of gases in our atmosphere, they filter it from water.

Bob: At 24 weeks a baby isn`t breathing air, but it`s lungs are functional and breathing amniotic fluid.

Breathing does not require air, as fish breathe water all the time.

So abortion isn`t okay but killing millions of brown kids in another country is totally justified?

Yep, doesn`t work. But it has successfully started yet ANOTHER I-A-B flame war!

where the fetus is only the size of a bean and looks like this:

brain function has not yet started, so it is not yet a seperate being from the mother, so how again are you killing another human being?

just googled it, nope. nothing about abortion at all, just a bunch of definitions of murder. which is by the way: the unlawful killing of another human being with "malice aforethought" the vast majority of abortions are done by the 8th week, as seen here:

@pyrrhios- the same logic can be used on the other side, as in "stop calling them `pro-choice.` They`re pro-killing things that, without intervention, will almost always develop into a normal, healthy, functioning human being so that they can continue to have all the sex they want without adequate protection and completely ignore the consequences of their actions." Both sides use strong euphemism because both sides represent something which can be considered morally reprehensible.

Stop calling them "pro-life". They`re anti-abortion, even if it kills you.

When you search w/a Google account logged in (which this person has done) Google customizes results based on your browsing history and past searches. For example I search Murder on mine and Abortion isn`t in the front page at all.

Its not google, its pro life retards skewing the search results. Now that google has implemented their new algorithm, all this should stop.

Idk why pro choicers are tackling this issue like that. Using their opinion as a base for lobbying is weak. They should be trying to provide a sound argument as to why a certain point a baby is considered alive while in the mother`s womb, and no the bible said so does not count.

that`s a terrific question CoolerThanMe. Maybe it`s just bad labelling for additional, and probably deserved, bitch-slapping for the douchebags that murder women at their most vulnerable state.

Yes Oldfrt, maybe a pro-chicer that knows a bit about Biology knows that a fetus isn`t alive by his definition and is just a bunch of stem cells till about the first month. After that well, yeah I believe a fetus is alive as soon as it has A)Heart B)Developed brain C)Awareness. You can call that magic as much as you can call gravity and brain function and science magic.

If a fetus isn`t a person until it`s born, than why do people that kill pregnant women get charged with two counts of murder?
If you believe that a fetus is not a person, then you have to believe that some "magic" happens to bestow person-hood on a baby at some point (presumably at birth). That seems a bit mystic and new agey to me. Occam`s Razor sez that human being at conception makes more sense.
It has nothing to do with magic, and everything to do with biology.

The reason the cutoff is around 24 weeks in most countries is because at that point there is a very large increase in foetal viability.

This also more or less coincides with one of the vital signs we use to determine whether a person is alive or not, reaction to painful stimuli. Although obviously a foetus still fails the test of the standard 4 vital signs, since it is not breathing.

LazyMe: The legal definition of `Birth`, here in America, Is when the baby`s head clears the mother`s labia or leaves her body via cesarean section, Not when the cord is cut.

I`m not saying that that is when most people believe a baby is alive, That issue gets into people`s personal beliefs.

Birth is when the cord is cut. Prior to this fetus and mother are physically attached. You could cut it closer and say a person is a person at the first flicker of neural activity - which is measurable, but not practical. Regardless, 1 fertilized cell is not a person.

Occam`s razor only makes sense if you don`t know any better, which you clearly don`t. That`s fine of course, but I would have though a person of your age would have figured out how birth works by now.

Omg oldfrt no one needs a lecture. This isnt in need of a pro-life pro-choice discussion...just the irony of the google search. You are an idiot.

Pro-choice people never quite seem to understand that pro-lifers believe abortion=murdering babies. Instead they claim pro-lifers are wackos for being so "religious" about it. I would hope all sane atheists would be against infanticide. As to whether or not abortion is infanticide, that`s a different question, and I won`t throw stones at pro-choicers` beliefs.

I will say, however, that pro-choicers seem to have a more religious view than pro-lifers. If you believe that a fetus is not a person, then you have to believe that some "magic" happens to bestow person-hood on a baby at some point (presumably at birth). That seems a bit mystic and new agey to me. Occam`s Razor sez that human being at conception makes more sense.
