Maybe it is that gravity DOES exists and is so extremely powerful over that spot that the ball seems not to bounce.

If gravity didn`t exist on the tennis court wouldn`t the ball float? Is the court soft at that spot?

"Gravity Does Not Exist!"
... I would say that when a ball doesn`t bounce that would mean that there is a very high gravity rather than a lack of gravity.

laws of gravity are still in effect. Otherwise it would just float away... now the laws of physics on the other hand...hmmmm?

And why are all tennis players so hot?

God... has no one here played tennis? Its called delamination, it happens to old courts. The top layer separates from the cement, which will absorb the balls kinetic energy.

It`s because the tarp has loosened from it`s base and there`s air in between the layers. When she tries to bounce the ball it pushes the tarp down to the ground, cushioning it so it won`t bounce. Man, am I smatr, or what? ;)

Do members of IAB screen the Captions that are posted on here? There are so many idiotic errors. Do you employ kindergarteners there or what?

Nope I decided I want to do the actual saying.

Yo dawg, we heard you like videos so we put a video in your video so you can watch while you watch.

I read about this. It`s something about the extreme heat causing the expansion of an air bubble under the surface of court, meaning that the ball just hits sand.

it would have been more wondrous had I not had to turn the volume up full blast and the tv off just to stand any chance of hearing what was going on in the vid.

Gravity does not exist? What? So since there is not enough upward force to work against gravity, that means gravity does not exist. Good logic right there.

that looks more to me like EXCESSIVE gravity, seeing as gravity would be the force that pulls the ball to the ground.

but still interesting, I wouldn`t mind reading what the consensus was.

....because the ball is popped? What?

Pretty sure if gravity doesn`t exist, then the ball would just float in midair.

one of the related videos explains it. The tennis court is a thin layer of rubber cement on top of sand. An air bubble expanded under the rubber and the ball essentially just hit sand and stopped dead.

If you watched the video it`s pretty obvious that there`s just a soft spot on the court.
