trp712:
If you`re gonna say something, at least stick to it. Don`t attempt to verbally twist and turn your way out of it.
Take your own advice first, You tried to twist and turn Vorpal`s slander as well. My banana comment was far less derogatory, But you`ve tried to make it sound worse. When that failed you tried to equate the two.

If you are going to make the argument that being called `gay` is not bad and slanderous, at least stick to that assertion.

This is just getting silly. You`re twisting words, hiding behind obtuse phrasings, and refusing to admit things you obviously meant. Unless you literally mean someone hiding in a closet ramming bananas into something, then the obvious connotation is a homosexual one. If you`re gonna say something, at least stick to it. Don`t attempt to verbally twist and turn your way out of it.

trp712: According to your own definition calling someone `gay` isn`t a slander. So you are contradicting yourself from earlier.

As for the context issue, I didn`t bring up the subject of homosexuality here, Vorpal did. He invented the context.

I never specified a location of said `ramming`, even DickenMcHunt recognizes that fact.

C`mon Crakr, now you`re just being silly. the conversation is about homosexuality, and you call him a banana rammer ansd then talk about him being closeted. That`s an obvious allusion. You even go on to say
vorpalsword: You delete your slander, and I`ll delete mine.
. If you weren`t alluding to him being gay, then it wouldn`t be slander, and in which case you certainly wouldn`t say that.

Me: "you have also made graphic accusations of Vorpal engaging in anal-sexual stimulation with fruits."
Crakr: "Actually I never specified any location, on his body or otherwise, to where he rams a banana. For all I know he rams bananas in police car tailpipes in his spare time, so just how would that be `offensive` ?"

You got me there! In fact it wouldn`t be offensive- which simply drives home the fact that subject statements can be argued to either side; after all Vorpal never called you a homosexual, he impled that you were a closeted gay. Nobody here will judge you if you like to compartmentalize your emotions, sometimes keeping your happiness in the proverbial closet can be a good thing.

LOL!! You`re hardly fear-worthy. It`s more like loathing. Not because of your personal beliefs, but because people who share those beliefs actively try to deny others equality for no good reason. How, as an American, can you even defend that type of behavior? If I look to the recent past, it could be because you follow the good word of George "rentboy" Rekers. Or not. You tell us.

Me: "Crakr complains that someone else is trying to get him to be concise and to elaborate on an issue"
Crakr: "The question was not asked `for clarity` it was a leading question with a false premise."

You`re right- it wasn`t asked for clarity it was asked to make a point, which was articulated in the following segment:

"What TRP was getting at is that either you believe being gay is BAD, which is your OPINION and hold no basis in objective reality and therefore cannot be judged as slanderous- OR you don`t find it offensive at ALL and are trying to be a drama queen. "

How is it that being called a "closeted gay" is offensive."
Crakr: "Contradict yourself much ?"

No- I don`t You selective edit me, much:
Actual quote- "Meanwhile you have explicitly and continually made direct allegation that Vorpal (and others) are gay, liberal, and a host of other relatively defamatory statement- with no evidence."

I never said that being gay is defamatory, I said that you called people gay and liberal and also other comments that can be construed as defamatory; to make the point that you`re not innocent- you`re equally as guilty. Which you have again proven.

"I saw through your line questioning a half-hour ago, No matter how I answer you`ll either say vorpal`s slander either wasn`t offensive or you`ll say that my beliefs are.

You phrased the question with a false premise to begin with, That falsehood being that I believe `gays are bad`. "

Ohhhh Boy... Where do I start?

Crakr complains that someone else is trying to get him to be concise and to elaborate on an issue... then when he gets calle dout for failing to do so, gets butt-hurt about it...

Correct me if I cross a line (everyone that has ever had an argument with him) but is this not the same tactic he uses? Imply that because you cannot articulate an opinion well enough to his standards that you`re wrong and he`s right?

Yeah, I`m fairly sure that tactic is "Crakr 101."

TRP asked you a specific question:
How is it that being called a "closeted gay" is offensive. YOU skirted around the issue by saying, that being called gay isn`t bad but being a CLOSETED gay is- which does not answer the question of why it offends you. The reality is that people with responses similar to your own typically feel that homosexuality is disgusting, physically repulsive, wrong, evil, vile, etc. Which of course is completely subjective and holds no basis in reality. You have implied that homosexuals are more promiscuous than heterosexuals, which has been debunked time and time again- which provides further evidence to your opinions.
0
Reply
Male 1,299
The issue here is that YOU are failing to elaborate on WHY you find being called a "closeted gay" offensive, using weasel phrasing, ignoring the questions and providing answers to questions that were not asked- all the while claiming that you`ve sufficiently answered the initial question,

What TRP was getting at is that either you believe being gay is BAD, which is your OPINION and hold no basis in objective reality and therefore cannot be judged as slanderous- OR you don`t find it offensive at ALL and are trying to be a drama queen.

In either event- the solution would be for both parties to stop talking to each other, and/or "man-up."

For the record- Vorpal has demonstrated right wing- libertarian tendencies with his only "liberal" ideals being social issues. By your logic, calling him a "liberal" is equally as slanderous as calling you a "closeted gay," which he also DID NOT do, he simply IMPLIED. Neither being liberal nor being gay are inherently bad- per your speech you are not gay, neither is Vorpal a "liberal." Applying this logic means that you have slandered Vorpal equally.
0
Reply
Male 1,299
On top of that- you have also made graphic accusations of Vorpal engaging in anal-sexual stimulation with fruits. So, you have explicitly made two defamatory comments, while Vorpal implied one.

Vorpal is a 20-something nobody with no track record of "trolling" or hate speak; you`re 40+ years and often accused of "trolling" and have a vast record of speech that can be construed as "hateful."

You also tried to defend calling President Obama a Muslim, because his father and step-father were Muslim and parts of his family which has has had virtually no contact with for the majority of his life believe he is Muslim
0
Reply
Male 1,299
Ignoring that he states he is a Christian and that his Mother is a Christian. You, In identical fashion to Vorpal, have IMPLIED that he is a muslim- using hearsay and circumstantial evidence. Either Calling Obama a Muslim IS IN FACT Libel and people should be sued (including those on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and etc. that continue to imply such) or it is not, and therefore, neither were Vorpals implications.

Meanwhile you have explicitly and continually made direct allegation that Vorpal (and others) are gay, liberal, and a host of other relatively defamatory statement- with no evidence. This, without question, IS slander. Simply put, your argument wouldn`t hold up in any court, nor is it holding up to the mods now, and all you do is whine. Grow up.

P.S. Telling you to grow up is not libel as you`ve demonstrated a tendency to act in a nature which could be communally determined as "childish."

You can`t use the argument `I love them, I don`t have to tolerate them` because when Jesus said things like `Love your neighbor` he was using `Love` because it`s the strongest word possible and you`re supposed to love them a lot.

Sorry Crakr...but there`s more evidence to suggest that people who think homosexuality is such a huge deal are closet cases themselves. (and yes..I can name SEVERAL cases to back my point up.) Vorpolsword did not slander you. He made a reasonble observation thaty you were probably a closet gay. While sad that you can`t be yourself, it`s not insulting, therefor, it`s not slander. You, on the other hand, just suggested that he likes to stick fruit up his sphincter. (graphic details for your benefit). That could be construed as being insulting, so, you`re the bad guy in this whole deal. Let me give you a word of advice, skippy. If people want to live their own lives and be happy, and it doesn`t affect you, lay off the insults, MYOFB, and be nice. It works, you know. :)

@CrakrJak: It would seem that his bowing to the King proves that he`s not a Muslim, since Muslims only bow to God, and the slander against Obama was also done with malice and intent to injure. Vorpals statement was not, because if you are gay, no one gives a crap.

jtrebowski: Obama was born to a muslim father and his muslim step-father enrolled him as a muslim in school, His family in Kenya still believes that he is muslim.

He says he`s Christian now, but has since called other muslims `brothers` and bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia upon meeting him.

Also, He is a political figure and all politicians get slandered, unfortunately that`s how the game is played nowadays. It`s no different than the people that were calling GW Bush a Nazi, It`s likely untrue but the case of Flynt vs Falwell opened up that can of worms for all famous people.

Vorpal`s slander is not in the same category and it`s done with malice and intent to injure.

I think Ron is a decent man...His beliefs and values are no where near mine, however, he has the ability to distinguish what he believes and what makes laws fair. I do not agree with many of his policies, because for Ron`s form of government to work people have to give a crap about each other, be compassionate, understanding and have the best interest of their fellow man at heart. If we ever come to that point, the form of government we have will be of no concern. That being said, his approach of honesty and restraint of personal beliefs makes me believe he would make a great leader somewhere at some time, maybe not here, maybe not now.

@CJ, First of all, Ron Paul was the only candidate not funded by groups. Regular everyday Americans who were anti-war and anti-spending were his base last time around. He was the only candidate that democrats, republicans and libertarians could get behind as one. He was the only candidate in either party willing to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
For a guy who hates having the `racist` label thrown at him you sure go out of your way to label other people. Ron Paul is no more a Nazi than you are a Jew.
I will say this, Rand Paul is no Ron Paul, anyone who thinks otherwise should have their head checked. He`s a shady character and the citizens Kentucky will some day regret their vote.

Homo-averse != Homophobic, that a misnomer used by the left to make conservative seem crazy. Since you seem to like homosexuals should I start calling you a homophile ? or since you seem to like muslims should I start calling you an islamophile ? Or since you seem to hate conservatives should I call you a conservaphobic ?

Jesus Christ tells me to love all mankind, that doesn`t mean I have to love or tolerate their behavior, but I`m not their judge either.

Crakrjak, it strikes me (and I may have gotten this wrong), that you apparently despise homosexuals, muslims, scientists, atheists, and now, apparently, libertarians. Surely these guys are as close to the Tea Party as you can get without actually using the words "Tea-Party". Heck, Libertarians were using the Tea Party manifesto long before any far-right Conservatives ever slapped a name on it and hijacked it.

Heck, you`ve preached to me in the past in how smaller government was the way to go, Socialism is tantamount to Communism, (despite socialism working quite well in Europe, thankyouverymuch), and various other weirdness.

That`s right - they pulled their OWN poll (ostensibly because Ron Paul, not Sarah Palin, was winning) and refuse to display the results of the final vote. To validate the convictions of their constituents. Wonder what happened.

Anti-Israel != anti-semetic. Now granted I don`t entirely agree with him such as wanting to repeal the 14th amendment. The question I`ll ask: how serious is he? I support him because he opposed the Iraq War and the War on drugs.
As far as the $500 donation from Stormfront the leader of that movement had something to say:

Ron Paul is not anti-Semitic nor is he "against Israel". He believes our tax dollars shouldn`t be used to prop up governments. Israel should be allowed to do what Israel wants to do without our interference. We already got a black eye from "Made in the USA" tear gas canisters. Our influence in favor of one group of people over another is not American. We must rethink our foreign policy, we`re broke and it screws up everything.
And Ron Paul has run for president. If he runs again he`ll do better than last time but this time I won`t send him money.

Nothing done in the video is illegal though. FOX has changed its stance to become a tabloid and is now 8 of top 10 news sources as a result. It works for them in our capitalistic society so that`s what counts and what news will look like in the near future because all other news broadcasters will have to follow to also succeed.

Wouldn`t you equate this with Borders bankruptcy because they fell behind with the evolving world of ereaders?
