    Greyfriars Bobby hung out there because he got fed. I`m sure he was a nice dog, but he was adopted and nurtured in that role.

    And sometimes you have to hit a (small) animal that has wandered into the road because the alternative is sudden swerve or brake and possible loss of human life.

    If the first dog wasn`t aware enough of the danger to NOT run out into traffic, why should we assume the second dog was more informed and fully aware of the danger? :P

    i`ve always thought that 99.9% of the human race, including myself, were just worthless bags of meat and that dogs were the superior race. this just proves my point.

    I was in the K-9 corps and lost my friend Duke in combat. Of all the sad times in my life this event is still a sore spot. Ask anyone that has served with a dog and they will tell you that humans can only hope to live up to such valor and loyalty.

    @MrAtari

    No young man, he understands the warning just fine.

    You just do not understand loyalty.

    "to whoever hit that dog in the first place and didn`t stop... f*ck you."

    ...and do what, perform last rites?

    I love dogs. They are my favorite animal. If they are in the road and I can`t avoid it, they get popped.

    We are taught this in Driver`s Ed. I remember on one of the tests, there was a question:

    You are on a crowded street. There is a curb on the right (we are in America), an oncoming car on the left. You are traveling 45 MPH. A medium sized dog runs into the road 20ft. in front of you. What do you do?

    The answer was, hit the dog.
