He wasn`t a president, but since we`re on the subject of "dark sides" of famous influential people: Martin Luther King sure had a pretty bad dark side too. snopes.com

Marijauna was used to make ropes back then and for John Adams it wasn`t all that uncommon to marry your cousin back then

So this is the real problem....who the hell have ask you to use YOUR OWN criteria to control the rest of the world? Can`t you just look inside your country and use your criteria inside your borders pls?

First you ignore my earlier assertions and now you`re just lying. Yes they were involved CrakrJak, the CIA gave them financial support. You`re such a poor judge of credibility you shouldn`t even bother.

Cajun247: We did sell some arms to him during the iraq-iran war (but that did not put Saddam in power).

As for Qasim`s coup of the royal family and the overthrow of his own subsequent communist linked government, the CIA was not involved.

(Yes, there were rumors of CIA backing of Qasims overthrow since he was leaning communist but that`s hearsay, not proof.)

You`d have been better off making the accusation of the US helping islamic jihad in Afghanistan (When Russia invavded them), At least there would`ve been proof of that.

During the cold war, One side`s `terrorist` was the other side`s `freedom fighter`, but times have changed and so has the criteria we use to choose whom to help or hinder.

Not hard to imagine how details got skewed. Furthermore what exactly does this say about the character of Muslims worldwide (if that is the point)?

I pointed out nearly a year ago how the muslim hate of Jews and Christians began, with grand mufti al Husseini. He was Hitler`s lapdog in the East during WWII. He also incited anti-Jewish riots by claiming the Jews were plotting to destroy the Al Asqa mosque in 1920. After the fall of Nazi Germany, Al Husseini fled to Cairo, Egypt in 1946 rather than face war crime charges for his actions in Yugoslavia. But he continued his operations. From there he helped form the Ba`ath party in Syria and Iraq, and the PLO.

Under the muslim Nahmanides, there were 700 years of peaceful coexistence between Jews and muslims, until al Husseini came along.

I actually genuinely don`t see how Crakr is not being dishonest in pretending the point of Davy`s comment was comparing US troops.

I think you want people to think Davy is accusing heroes of something, when he wasn`t, because it lessens his point, which is 100% correct.

After Iraq and Afghanistan, terror up over 700%.
For you to be right, it requires Arabs or Muslims to be "invented" around circa 2003.
If he`s right, it already makes perfect sense.

I already posted about this, you lost that debate. You`re arguing via repetition of refuted points you either must know are wrong at this stage.

It has been a year, I`ve been forced to school you repeatedly on every topic. Feel free to point to a topic you feel you`ve won.

Maybe spend a little less time bringing up Muslims in a thread about Presidents, and more in that other thread about how Republicans aren`t prejudiced.

Not my standards, and I say absolutely ridiculous. You might as well blame the rapist for the destruction of his own house after he raped the arsonist`s daughter.
In the chaos after Saddam fled there was widespread looting, arson, and vandalism by the Iraqis themselves.
That`s usually what happens when there`s an invading army involved. Furthermore, there were Iraqis who made pleas to our forces to secure the various museums and libraries. All of which got ignored. A lot of their culture and history has been erased because of it.

I agree that jihad started BEFORE 9/11 obviously, and it`s hard to blame BushII for that, but the left still does it! lolz! (not you @davymid, the MSM and left in general, eh?)

Since the jihad attacked the towers in 1993, I`d say the actions of the West have little to do with Muslim Extremism`s origins. They hate us, pure & simple.

#1 Purgery: while under investigation for a pre-PotUS accusation, he swore UNDER OATH that he did NOT have sex with Lewinski. He did admit to the Flowers mistress thing tho.
Purgery is a felony, a convicted felon cannot hold the Office of President (OotPotUS), m-kay?

#2 Using the Presidential Powers inappropriately: If one were to use the OotPotUS to, say, cover up a crime (purgery) THAT would clearly be grounds for impeachment & removal. Example: Nixon. Clinton used Federal workers and govermnet agents to cover up his affair, which he`d lied about.

Slam dunk, except they didn`t have the votes.
It was NEVER about "sex" @davymid, it was always about his lies.
There is no doubt he committed purgery, he even admitted it! Under oath! He just covered it up long enough to make it through the second term...

His crime was he lied during the Kenneth Star investigation which was originally the White water probe. Then he lied under oath to a Federal Grand jury on the Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky investigation. Lying under oath to a Grand Jury can bring you up on charges of perjury. He was then found not guilty by a Senate. The Senate can only weigh evidence to bring trial of the President in front of the House of Reps. That is what he was impeached for both perjuring and obstruction of Justice to a Federal investigation.

As for the Afghanis, most of them have never even heard of 9/11 and when told about it don`t believe it even happened (According to a recent poll). I believe a lot of our problems there stem from elements within Pakistan.

Btw, comparing US troops to the `Bloody Sunday` incident is really in bad taste. Our troops do a lot of good for the civilians there, and you just basically equated them mass murderers.

Crakr, I guess we`ll have to agree to disagree. I`m of the opinion that a few missiles fired in the general direction of the enemy is of lesser magnitude than a massive intercontinental invasion for WMDs which didn`t exist.

A word from the wise if I may, from someone who grew up in terrorist-ridden Northern Ireland. After the Bloody Sunday slaughter (to save multiple links, it was when British paratroopers shot a bunch of catholic civilians on a civil rights march), the head of the IRA was asked how they had gotten so many new recruits following the incident.

The response? To paraphrase: "After Bloody Sunday, we didn`t have to actively recruit any more. Young men showed up in droves, willing to die for their cause".

Now, you tell me. Which was the thing that drove millions of insurgents to fight against the west? Some missiles fired at bunkers, or a mass illegal invasion of a country on nothing but pretence?
0
Reply
Male 17,511
davymid: Perhaps you`ve forgotten, but I haven`t, Clinton ordered tomahawk missiles be fired at suspected al-qaeda camps in Afghanistan. He did so to take attention away from the Lewinsky scandal, aka `Wagging the dog`. Osama mentioned those missile attacks as impetus for al-qaeda planning further attacks on America including 9/11.

It was Clinton`s actions that `fueled (now tell me that it`s spelled `fuelled` in Britain or Canada or wherever) the fire of the global jihadist movement`.

Woah there cowboy. What was Clinton`s crime? He got an extra-marital blowjob off an intern. Wrong, but hardly a capital offence. Bush on the other hand led the western world into an illegal, unjustified and unwinnable war against a non-threat, had decided to do so long before he came to office, and fuelled the fire of the global jihadist movement against the west. For most of the civilised world, 9-11 was a tragedy. For Bush, it was an excuse.

And let`s not even go into the economic wisdom of Clinton vs Bush.

Now seriously, which one should have been removed from office?

Lots of falsehoods in this one.

Washington grew Hemp, not merijuana (yes, there is a difference) and there is no evidence that he smoked or sold the buds.

Adam`s married Abigail Smith his third cousin, That`s no where close to incest.

In Jackson`s time duels were not considered murder, However those times did change.

Lincoln was not a homosexual and had 3 children by his wife, all of whom died unfortunately.

Teddy Roosevelt may have been a racist, However at that time most white men were, by today`s standards.

Eleanor Roosevelt, Was Theodore`s niece, Franklin and Eleanor were 5th cousins, Again not incest.

Nixon`s only `ties` to organized crime, was in an anti-drug effort, Which I might add included making Elvis Presley an honorary deputy.

As for the remaining 3, those are true.
Wundt: Washington grew `hemp`, that is not the same as marijuana.
"modern" industrial hemp (high in CBD, low in THC) and marijuana (high in THC, low in CBD) are both in the genus cannabis. The term `hemp` referred to the fibers of any plant belonging to the cannabis genus.

Washington`s own diary mentions that he separated the male plants from the females before pollination. This was thought to increase the quality and/or quantity of resin (hashish) from the plants.

Separating the males from the females serves no purpose if one is only interested in cultivating the fibers for rope, etc.

Personally, I don`t have a problem with Washington growing hemp for its pharmacological applications or even if he wanted to get all of Virginia stoned out of its gourd.

"Don`t get me wrong I`m not a Bush fan but if we had to bring the nerve gas there where did Sadam get it to use on the kurds way before his presidency? Also why did they wait to release this info till after his presidency?"

not really sure if we took it or not i was just sayin :P

im just sayin the ONLY weapons we`ve seen are AK-47s (dont those break alot?) and themselves (till they go "pop") we have no reason to still be over there since they should all be dead by now anyway...

Erm, you are aware that for hundreds of years marrying your cousin was absolutely fine? Just look at Mansfield Park (or don`t, I wouldn`t blame you, it`s a terrible book)

@McGovern

The Halabja Poison gas attack happened during Reagan administration. Yes Saddam had a program back then, but was rebuilding infrastructure during the Bush Jr. administration. Bush Sr. put a major halt on on Saddam`s WMD program.

George Washington actually grew hemp, which is a different strain of the marijuana plant. Not smokable. Hemp was actually the largest cash crop around in the time of Washington.

I really like how Jefferson`s fault was having sex with his SLAVES. It`s ok to own people, to whip them and force them to work themselves to death.... but having sex with them, man, that`s just crossing a line...

Also even if the Washington thing is true, and he did have marijuana plantations (probably only for hemp) why would this even matter since marijuana wasn`t even illegal at the time..

"Sleeping in the same bed with the same sex does not make you a homosexual. Plus these aren`t shocking, and some were natural for the given time period."

Interesting how morality can change so much in the space of a couple of hundred years. Who knows, maybe in 2211 we`ll all be on heroin prescriptions to help us cut back on f u c k ing the cat.

Why the hell is homosexuality held in a comparable light to murder, drug abuse, incest, organized crime, and drug trafficking?

At best, this infographic is full of half-truths and popular allegations purported as facts.

Bush had a news conference where he announced to the world that Hans Blix didn`t know what he was doing...
Where`s the news conference apologizing to Dr. Blix?

Seriously if those "stockpiles" were an issue Bush Jr. could`ve instead waged an invisible war in Iraq to dispose of them, would`ve been exponentially cheaper too, and we "Bush haters" wouldn`t be. But no, he had to send in an ENTIRE ARMY.

None that were not already documented by the UN and/or manufactured before Bush Sr.`s invasion.

They were smuggled in AFTER Bush Jr.`s invasion.

Wait did Lincoln actually have sex with his bodyguard cause the way it`s worded seems to me like Lincoln shared a bed with another guy, which probably doesn`t make you gay

This is lame. None of these presidents did anything wrong `cept for nixon and clinton. JFK had prescriptions, Teddy hated Cuba (like every other presdient for the last 100 years), abe wasnt gay, duels were a way of settling things in Johnson`s day, Jefferson can have sex with whoever he wants to (sorry racists), and Washington wasn`t breaking a law or going against any sort of stigma that existed by gorwing hemp... and marrying their 2nd cousins isnt even illegal in parts of USA today. The stupid NWO-implying symbol at the top gave this pic away before I even read it.

Washington was back when people grew marijuana ALL the time. It was a normal crop for people to grow a LOT of. They didn`t always smoke it back then, they actually used it for other things. Once people started getting high too much, they stopped growing it. History of Weed

innocent people are dying :| why should we let that go...

the people we are fighting dont even have proper weapons or ANY vehicles (helicopters, tanks, ect) so why are we still over there looking for something that cant possibly be there anymore...

The fact that Homosexualiy is comparible to the other acts on this graphic says more about the author than Abraham Lincoln.

Also, and correct me if I`m wrong, but I thought incest was marrying your sibling, marrying a cousin is just "frowned apon".

And I`m sure you will correct me if I`m wrong.

There are still some states where you can marry your first cousin (CA for example), so the accusation of incest is not really true.

Washington grew `hemp`, that is not the same as marijuana.

Also, why is Clinton there for adultery, fully 1/2 of the USA presidents were known to have mistresses, including G.H.W. Bush.
