    So, how expensive are micro LEDs? a 128^3 cube and the right software = hologram.

    Imagine it a 100 bigger with tiny lights - this could display real life images/holograms. Cool.

    Cool! But here`s a tip: when filming a 3D object, try to move the camera around a bit. It gives the viewer an impressive sense of depth instead of just seeing a blotch of lights flashing. kthanxbye :p

    it`s ok, they could have done some more interesting displays with it... make some light-fish swim around or something... do big water droplets...make shapes and pictures....

    I think we are seeing the rudimentary form of a 3-d monitor. Think to make these cubes in arrangement with the lcd pixels from a real monitor. The effects would be astounding. (heh 3d monitors w/o glasses)

    This technology could be used to build three dimensional interfaces, just need it...much bigger with much smaller lights and thinner wiring.
