God (if he exists) created humor did he not? he would not have a problem with this, the catholic people are the only ones that can`t see humor in themselves.

There`d only be trouble if it were about Muslims, because the position of Muslims in the USA is already terrible! Of course they feel like they`re being mocked then. It`s like constantly bullying a kid and then making a regular joke about him; he`ll still feel mocked. If this commercial had aired in, for example, Dubai or Saudi Arabia, with Muslims in it, I doubt it would have caused any trouble there.

Reminded me of this old commercial which never really aired because of a possible negative reaction like this one about the doritos commercial
Though I do not get the commercial of doritos... How did the pastor came up with doritos? All I heard was a beer can being opened so I would give beer instead of wine to let the people come! And I don`t eat my doritos with beer so where do they come in?

It doesn`t do anything offensive, it just happens to have some Catholics in it. And of course it could offend Muslims in America as they are a minority so they might feel targeted.

As an ex-catholic I think the line was crossed when the church declared a woman becoming a priest a sin of the same level as child abuse. Or maybe when they abused the kids in the first place. Or when the abusers were shunted from parish to parish, free to molest more kids rather than the church being embarrassed by their actions. There`s just so many to choose from.

@SvampeBob you shouldn`t label a entire group of more people then the number of people who live in your city based on the actions of few. There are many churches who accept gays and let them practice their worship with them, there are many churches made up of black, Mexicans and white people. Problem here is that human beings are non-nice individuals, not any one group, not any one person. We are all a bunch of scum back hypocrites who talk poo about someone in one way or other it has nothing to do with your skin color or the god you choose it has to do with how you were raised and we live in a time period where people are raised without morals or values and the fact that you have to sit here and bash Christians as a whole because of what ONE guy said tells me a lot about how moral you are. Keep your judgment to yourself and your hypocrisy to those who care, you are no better those those you sit there and bash.

Cross the line? wtf have you heard what those non-nice individuals say about gays? what they said about Mexicans, blacks, atheist, Jews, Buddhist, Hindus those non-nice individuals deserve to be mocked and insolvent offended and kicked right in the balls, and they even kill millions of poor people because they banned condoms drating non-nice individuals! raping children and then covering up and ordering the children to shut up?! drat YOU!

And here we see the problem(s) with religion itself. Somehow a bit of fun turns into a debate over transubstantiation and who can jump on the offended wagon. We must recognize that if this were muslim focused, there would be violent danger involved.

"Wadaya` think, Boys? "The Buddy Christ!" Doesn`t it just... Pop?... "Buddy Christ...""

I`m wondering: What is the distinction between those flavorless wafers and the Doritos, exactly?
Where inside of a bible are the wafer prescribed?

Do you think maybe somewhere there is a company that makes "communion chips" for church sacrament?
Do THEY charge for the chips?

Here is a simple solution: if you are offended, don`t buy Doritos. They have freedom to insult whoever they want. The only consequences should be that if people like their ad, they sell more product. If people don`t like it, sales go down.

Now, I`m Catholic, but I don`t care about this silly commercial enough for it to impact my buying behavior one way or another.

So...the two are mutually exclusive? He can`t represent one side in a debate (such as it is)then do some good works after the 10-minute engagment?

Nice site, glad to see the site wasn`t editing any of the videos they showed (btw that was sarcasm).
Now, I fully admit that there are times when Fox News goes off the deep end and doesn`t research a story as well as they should, just like all of the news channels. With today`s pace, either you break the story first or you don`t.
In the effort to not fill too many pages here, just take the "The Fundamentals of the Economy are Strong" clip. Fox ran clips of Obama`s team talking about the economy, to include one of VP Biden from the election trail. Are we to understand that during the election trail the statement was true but a year later it is not true? Maybe I misunderstand the word "Fundamentals", but I don`t think they can change that drastically in one year...

Lars seems to have forgotten that communion is supposed to be done in rememberance of Jesus, not to actually be his flesh and blood."

Look up the term "transubstantiation".

I do think they crossed a line. That whole excuse that "they never showed the consecration itself, therefore it`s not sacrilige" is stupid.

On a side note, I will be selling Muhammed t-shirts next week. No one actually saw me draw the image, so Muslims should be cool with that, right?

No prob on the double (I think IAB likes it when we post double/triple and more).
One of the problems with posting sarcasm is that it is really hard to read sarcasm... but the big word bit was a joke (for this video at least... I have heard them "try" to use big words)
But back to my point - I did not pick up the feeling that the two guests agreed with each other. But that`s probably because they didn`t :)
While the only non-USA news I can only comment on is BBC world news (when I catch it), I can comment the 24 hour news channels in the states. I think some are comparing Fox News to the News programs (the 5 or 6 o`clock News program). With that comparison, yes the hosts of Fox News do present their opinions more than the newscasters. However, please notice one calls the people on Fox News (and MSNBC and so forth) "Hosts" and the people on your daily news (5 or 6 o`clock) newscasters. So, long post but do you see where I`m coming from?

I think Trojan made a good point. In terms of argument and discussion, they really didn`t go into any depth. You could well argue they certainly shared a large proportion of their opinions, and the presenter was very biased.

Also, Fox news does not use big words.

So, is that the big complaint about Fox News? I`m only going to comment on the video that was in the clip... but did you watch it? Yes I know the clip is not really all that interesting and maybe I just misunderstood the big words they were using. However, I do not think all three of them agreed. But, then again, I could be wrong.

I think it`s an advert and funny at that. However, one can only wonder what would happen if they used a different religion in the advert.... (of course, I`m not sure how - switching communion items for chips and pop was a great idea)
And I have to love the comments about Fox News, some people love to loathe Fox, of course I`ve only heard broad negative personal opinions about the channel. I`m still waiting for someone to bash Fox with actual facts or real examples. Oh well, i guess I can`t have everything :)

Fox news is BS, we all know that. I guess the only thing left to say is that, if I remember correctly, a priest can bless anything so long as he waves his hands and says the magic words. Doritos should be perfectly acceptable. If one was to look into it, they`d probably find all sorts of hilarious loopholes.
