Ted Williams, the man with the golden throat, was interviewed on the CBS Early Show. You Go, Ted Williams. You kick ass!

I wish people would stop using "epic" to describe everything...When you use that word to describe everything that is neat.. or kind of cool .. then you dull down the impact it has. Even "fail" isn`t as annoying. This guy is cool but certainly not epic.

"I hope they`re not A-holes."

He was homeless. They seem like A-Holes to me. Could they not take care of their father during his rough time?

He was on the Today show this a.m. - got his ID thing all worked out and is in NYC. It was so cute X) Said he`s going to be the voice in some commercials for Kraft Mac & Cheese. He also has nine adult kids - I hope they`re not A-holes.

I think it`s awesome. But I can`t help but wonder how long it`s going to be before people start ripping this guy down. Isn`t that what always happens?

If he hasn`t left yet, he`s within walking distance of where I live... My mom occasionally passes by him on her way to work.

By the way, I absolutely HATE magic 98.9.

i agree with boris.
Drugs and alcohol shouldn`t be mentioned as two different things, although alcohol is more accepted its one hell of a drug.

On Topic:
Most people deserve a second change but few get it.
He got it, so good for him! hopes he makes something out of his life.

"Drugs and Alcohol" I hate that term, more like just drugs... Alcohol is the worst drug out there.

But kudos to this guy. He`s my new idol. He could also be a sports caster!

"It`s nice to know that even after his 15 minutes of fame fades he`ll still be benefiting from all this attention, and that it`ll have genuinely changed his life."

Yes, that is true *looks down and pushes away Antoine Dodson*

The people who do voice overs (for big TV stations at least) make a LOT of money. I really hope he doesn`t get ripped off.

His story makes me wonder how many other people there are out there like him. Willing and able to work, completely sane, would clean up (physically) really easily, just unable to make that first step from homeless and helpless to employed and hopeful. How many others are there out there that just need that one person to reach out to them and give them a hand.?

Changing it to a different, in-sync version. Should be fixed in a few minutes.
And yes, go internet.

as I said, I sincerely hope this goes well for him. I can see that maybe it is all a little overwhelming, A sensible job, a small flat and a little counseling to help him through a change would be nice.
