Oh @madest, go play with your balls and your doggie! You revisionist!~ The Nazis CONFISCATED all the guns after `registering` them, guns were HARD to get in Nazi Germany, but please go on with your FANTASIES, don`t let little things like FACTS confuse you!

He made a `joke` about 14 year old Willow needing to BE knocked up, not the past tense you revisionist! So you`re fine with a little statuatory RAPE as long as the politics are OK? Fine, good to know your true colours @madest.

I don`t understand what`s so bad about what she is saying. I mean if anyone else posted that I doubt people would`ve said anything. Why can`t we settle our differences aside for just one moment and realizes that what`s important is the matter at hand and the matter at hand is the fact that people were just shot at and now six people are dead because of the MASSACRE.

Right on CJ. If there was an Easy button in 1930`s Germany, I`m certain the 3rd reich would have mocked the Jews for pulling out the button on Hitlers hate rhetoric.

Republican policy:
Step 1) Rile up the psychos with inflammatory language about tyranny, betrayal and a desire to "take back" their country.
Step 2) Fight any attempt at a national healthcare system so the loonies can go undiagnosed and do their leaders bidding.
Step 3) Make guns so easy to get that even the mentally unstable can buy one at the corner store.
Step 4) Deny all culpability when the end game becomes a reality.

"You see no correlation with her constant gun imagery and and her attacks on all things democrat with this crazy guy?"

the only think I`m speaking of is the map with targets on it- since that seems to be what everyone is focused on. No reasonable person would interpret that as a call to carry out political assassinations- and you can`t go around worrying how crazy people might interpret what you have to say. As for other rhetoric- I`ve definitely heard poo come out of her mouth that crosses the line, as I mentioned in the post to which you are referring. The pervasive theme in her rhetoric that anyone who opposes her point of view is somehow "anti-American" or "pro-terrorist" is certainly dangerous- I`d argue that is far more dangerous than the stupid map. It think it`s appropriate to turn a critical eye towards violence in political rhetoric in general- I find it in poor taste that some are trying to score political points with that map.

So you think Obama has solved the racial barrier? If so you need to get out of your house more and actually turn on some form of news. Either way, I don`t care what "talking heads" say. The only news source that is reliable is the American Free Press. Everything else has a bias or is controlled by people in favor of a one world government. Ive said it once I`ll say it again, get rid of your tunnel vision and spread your criticism to your democrat buddies just like you do with the republicans.

Hightech, I hope you are aware that it`s the talking heads on the right and their minions who claim democrats see Obama as "the messiah". You won`t find people on the left who think that or even talk like that. Who says messiah? It`s democrats who lack belief in God.
Certainly there were repressed Americans who felt that Obamas election broke a barrier and would bring the races together. Clearly it hasn`t because the talking heads on the right have brain washed you into spouting the crap they want you to believe.

...and Obama has a following of just a bunch of blacks, illegals and college kids...so whats your point? (Of course this is a bad summarization, but this just shows you how bad your last statement sounds) He has created an atmosphere so his "followers" see him as the messiah. Of course he is no such thing, not even close, but that is another discussion. Just stop talking dude, your comments are getting more retarded by the minute.

Her followers have a screw loose. Sarah is retarded personified and she has a following.
Her base consists mostly of gun collecting idiots, anti-government extremists and inbred hillbillies who she purposely riles by talking contemptuously to the president and 1st lady, labels everyone that disagrees with her as an enemy, mocks every democratic policy that comes out and feeds her base subliminal messages with crosshairs and slogans like "don`t retreat reload!" She built a scene that was bound to happen.
The only good that could come out of this situation is the nation will turn their collective back on this nitwit and I never have to hear her opinion on anything ever again.

Why defend somebody you don`t like? Because people have something called Intellectual honesty. I hate Palin as much as a liberal does, but dishonest attacks should be pointed out as such. I constantly have to defend Obama, whom I also hate, because of the idiotic rhetoric aimed at him. It`s a shame when people complain when their lies and propaganda is exposed.
Also, in that video, I`ve never seen somebody so dismissive of violence despite the interviewers` leading questions. Great respect for Giffords.

For example, I will not always agree with some positions that you, CrakrJak and say, Old Ollie take, but the three of you could sit at a bar with me, madest, and davymid, have an intelligent discourse, drink a few beers, and walk away still in disagreement on some things, but with a better understanding of the other sides point of view. In our interactions here, we`re USUALLY polite with one another, but not always. Generally we respect each other as people, but not so much on political and religious issues.

and to my friend Madest (yes I spelled it correctly). I have not typed anything about President Obama. Nor have I in many posts. I don`t always disagree with libs or Dems. Most of the time I don`t share the same political views or solutions that they do. But I do have a problem with the "We are smarter than our opposition" attitude that usually attaches to their explanation of their positions. Making your opposition of lesser value does not indeed make your thoughts more correct. (I always though libs were sensitive to our differences?)

You, yourself just used the reasoning a few posts down. Anyone that disagrees with you is of lower IQ as I remember.

So if I have offended you or others, my apologies. I should have communicated more clearly. Of course since I don`t always agree with the libs, it`s probably because I am not an intelligent individual. (Or else I would think like them).

@ tridirk: For the record, anyone with common sense knows that there were some pretty shady goings-on BOTH times King George the Second was "elected".

Bush is over. Many Americans on both sides of any political debate just want to be sure that something like the eight years of the Bush Administration never happen again.

As for me, I am that not-so-rare mix of being a Fiscal Conservative and Social Liberal. I believe in a womans right to choose, but I am also a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment. (Seriously... they will have to pry them from my cold, dead hands.) I was totally against the bailout of AIG and other Corporate Financial Monsters, but believe that unemployment benefits should be extended until the economy improves.

The only thing that matters is the fact that we all want the same thing... our basic rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution kept intact.

there is no such thing as innocence of an elected official. the state of mind you have to have to become an elected official is strikingly similar to a sociopath. the way we run our campaigns is at best a conflict of interest, at worst legalized criminal corruption. even if there are a few good men/women in congress that refuse to be bought by special interest groups, or hold out on obviously needed legislation for earmarks, it is only a matter of time before they themselves disillusioned or corrupt. my thought is, we need to start holding congress to a higher standard, and start calling corruption treason...because that`s what it is...and it is punishable by death. those that write the laws should be strictly held to the law. no one knows why Jared did what he did except Jared, but you can bet the media will take to it like pedo bear to a childrens ward

The funny thing is that apparently, the guy behind this attack is supposedly very liberal. I don`t think that this attack was partisan-based. There was a woman interviewed that said he thought that Glifford was idiotic and shouldn`t be in office or something to that effect.

But that is all just here-say, that woman might has been lying.

Also tridirk: I am afraid of Sarah Palin getting elected. She represents EXTREMELY partisan ideals and ideas that would run our country even farther into the ground (Bush V2)

Gives me a smile. I think their fear and constant piling on to her, is part of what keeps her popular with their opponents. If they would have just let it go and ignored her, I don`t think she would be near as popular with some as she still is today.

Can you smell the lib fear and arrogance in the room?

CrakrJak Yes i`m so liberal that i`ve allready pass the old idea of conservative against liberals from ages. She,at my point of view, is just a stupid seasoned chick with any interesting idea and i seriously doubt she can be a good governor for a great country like USA. Seriously guys if you want to be conservatives keep on it, but please don`t vote for Palin. World will apreciate all your decision but not an useless puppet.

Too late Sarah. Here she accuses you of formenting violence against her and it seems you didn`t stop after you saw the signs. You ratched it up with the poster and the sights. Your political career is over. So is your god awful TV show thankfully.

@CrakrJak...not sure popularity and likeability go hand-in-hand within our culture. I think she`s been made popular equally by those who love her and hate her.

piperfawn: I don`t think you can fathom the idea that a Strong, Charismatic, Woman can also be a Conservative Republican. It probably scares the crap out of a liberal like yourself, to know that she`s so popular and likable.

She needs to do a few porn movies, and then retire. At least with porn she won`t be so far behind her peers in intelligence.

I don`t particularly care for Sarah Palin, but I also don`t care for people who are saying that she would for some reason wanted the Tucson shootings to have happened. That`s ridiculous. Disagreeing with someone doesn`t mean that you want them to be shot.
