I have be privately told that mocking Muhhamed is a death sentence. I say this: if he is a decent being, he would laugh and admonish those that in his name kill those that make light of him! If he exists, then let his will show himself, not the ignorant followers who errantly kill in his name. I laugh, if I die over this comment, I guess M is not a decent being!

In fact, why is Mohammud so thin skinned that he can`t appreciate a dutch cartoon of him? I mean if a diety or prophet of a deity can`t take a joke, then what does that say of the followers of such a douche?

Took me less time than that to notice they were all in the US or Britain. Find one in the mideast or STFU.

Billy62, well technically I said if the 10,000 HERE had a peace rally... but your examples are close enough.

As promised, they had a peace rally so I will hold out hope that we could one day get along. Admitedly, it`s still a very small hope while the islamic governments still harbor and fund terrorists...but it`s a start.

Anyhow, don`t North Koreans and South Koreans have the same religious beliefs? Or can we count `communism` as a religion?

I know! Lets blame the Mennonites (my people) for everything! They`re peaceful, hard working and give to charity a LOT! Curses on them, it`s all their fault! Lolz!

@MattPrince: Except hanging it on `God` can absolve you of any personal consequence in your own mind and allows the religious to disassociate themselves from the acts they commit. Hence `It is Gods will`

Its in our nature to form cliques and clades and to war with other tribes. Religion is just the most obvious way of discriminating ourselves and hating on the `other`. Its not religion that is the root of the problem - its our own nature. Bummer eh?

Lets face it, belief in any God gives anyone with an axe to grind, a psychosis to develop, a prejudice to promote or a score to settle the excuse to do anything they want outside the bounds of rational human behaviour. You know that leap of faith you need to actually believe in God? That`s one step away from the leap of faith to believe that it`s gods will to hate, abuse, maim, and kill. `It`s God`s will` the three scariest words you can hear.

I admit, my post was a little quick at the trigger. But my point being that religion is still at the heart of the terrorist activities, being muslim, protestant, catholic, flying spaghetti monsterists: that a constant remains, believing in a creator leads to discrimination and an outright constant state of war.

I have no idea what you`re talking about. Every result from your IRA search was about peaceful Northern Irish people protesting against the IRA`s actions. None were in support of the IRA.

I have seen Gays for Republicans, Jews for Jesus, and even Black people who like Country Music.

But I`ve never seen a Muslims Peace rally. Why don`t these many millions take to the streets in protest?

Why don`t all the "peaceful" muslim countries condemn the terrorists instead of funding them?

Stop being so politicically sensitive that you blind yourself to actual facts. The only muslims I see are screaming for our deaths and libretards want to coddle them.

When I see the 10,000 local muslims living in San Diego form a Peace March then I`ll believe there is hope for living with them.

So Siyanor, You`re saying that Muslims believe that religion is only true in the human mind, that it is a figment of our (human) imagination. So if you believe it, it is real... C`mon wake up!

Gerry, I`ve seen tons of them. Three fourths of them are outwardly indignant, and the other one fourth are embarrassed or afraid to call themselves Muslim in public because they disagree with the terrorists. You aren`t seeing them likely because you don`t live in a region with a large Muslim minority (which I do) or a Muslim majority.

LtFurpie, one belief of Islam is that every religion is true for the one who truly believes in it. (Though what they don`t say is that they believe it`s only possible to truly believe in the truth; that is, their truth.)

Then out of the 1.8 billion Muslims in the world. According to your stat that would be 18,000 terrorists. Thats almost two military divisions. Quite a bit don`t you think?

Male 1,013
@TheTrees, what you say is technically true. The numbers are there to back your statement up. But let`s get real. Islam is the basis of their terrorist acts. The whole idea of "believe as I do or die" is getting pretty old (IMHO). And you`re right, other religions are to blame as well. But let`s take a step back and ask What all religions are in agreement of, that their way is the "only" way to "salvation". The one commonality is that to believe in religion is to say that your way of life is the only one way to live, ergo, at the root of religion, is generation after generation of learned discrimination.
The terrorists are like one every 100,000.
I`ve heard that before. That the vast majority of muslims are peace loving, normal people.

WHERE ARE THEY?

Why does this "Majority" remain completely silent and let the terrorists represent them? Why do they not cry out in rage at the mis-use of their faith? Where is their indignation at the murders commited in the name of their "peacefull" God and their "peacefull" Prophet?

It seems by their silence that they approve.
It appreas that they are not offended by the actions of terrorists "mis-using" their faith.

Until this "MAJORITY" steps up to the plate and slaps their bad-boy brethren down I don`t believe they exist.

Not all muslims are terrorists. Only a very, VERY small sect of Sunnis. Not even all Sunnis, a very small part of Islam, are terrorists. The terrorists are like one every 100,000. It`s like saying all Christians hate the Jewish or all whites hate everyone not white.

Oh well they don`t want to bomb an european stations cause they are to busy on unload phosphorous bombs on the civilians of a neighbours country maybe.Lebanon suggest you something? And last but not least they don`t bombard countries that grant thems loads and loads of money. If you are so concerned about the fluffy and lovable piece of sky for "poor" israelians why don`t you move from your home and give it to thems?( before you start thinking i`m a "whateverthehell" muslim or arab or...i`m jew, but i admit that israelians or better Zionist israelians that rule that state from the day of birth are scums. You see the difference? You say islamist or arabs like if all are the same, i can discern between one religion and one group of people called arabs). You are racist? This explain lot of things and over all explain your love for criminals behaviours sustained by a criminal state.

You know, the intollerant guys that want to put you and everyone else to death as you quietly support their right to do so. I was speaking of those guys, not Isrealees. Last I heard, the Isrealites just wanted their corner of the sky and had no plans to bomb european train stations.

Like I said, "conquest". Don`t give me your politically sensitive crap. As long as any people have ZERO tolerance for any group other than their own, they cannot be reasoned with and diplomacy won`t work.

The native americans found that out when U.S. was the intollerant aggressor. The choice now is to roll over and take it... or fight back. But fighting is bloody. I promise you, not fighting will be even bloodier in the long run.

And changing topics... did you guys see GLEE last night? Re-Run...I hate that.

Well 5Cats so show me your map. I really think there is some little difference, the substance of the topic don`t change at all.Israel fight a war of conquest from 60 years sayng to the rest of the world that he is the victim.Israel is the state with the larger number of UN resolution against. Is responsible of a large ammount of war crimes and crimes against humanity, so i just ask to don`t put again zionist funny pictures just for the respect due to civil victims on both sides. We can discuss all but is really sad to reduce all to a nonsense "funny" vignette.

Several things I don`t understand:

1) Is Israel supposed to sit back and take rocket fire and suicide bombings, and do nothing about it? If Mexico fired rockets at the U.S. I don`t think we`d grin and bear it.

2) If Israel is attacked, is it supposed to remain on the defense? If you ask me, it`s perfectly justified for Israel to go on the offense after attack.

3) Israel wasn`t formed yesterday. People there could be on their third, fourth generation. I don`t understand what most people against Israel want them to do. If you want Israelis to evacuate, that makes no sense, as it goes against your own arguments. And you really think sharing the land is going to be peaceful when the other side doesn`t even want peace?

Sorry @Piperfawn, but your maps are bogus. They include a great deal of "disputed territory" as belonging soley to Palestine, ok? Not the way things were.

@Metalhannes WHO attacked Israel in 1946? Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan AND Iraq.

Palestinians HAVE a homeland where they ARE the majority: Jordan!

edana42 Zionist that rule Israel from more than 60 years have just one plan, clear all arabs and conquer all territory, this is undeniable. Hmm what you will do if tomorrow i will knock at your door and i say " leave your house, my ancestors was used to live here trilions years ago so now is my home. Don`t you belive me? Look here, is writen in this ancient book of fables and elucubration so now move".I really think you will try to fight for your house.

@edana42 During WW2 jewish lobbyists helped the ameican gov`t to defeat the nazis.
After that the allies divided the land of the palastines between the jews and the palastines. They did not accept this even thohugh they were defeated and started a war against Israel.
So you can say it`s Palastine`s fault for starting the war or Israel`s for taking their land.

And piperfawn, I`m very much on your wavelength. The idea of Israel being a victim is literally laughable. Hell, the only thing that annoys me is that Palestinians don`t seem have a group that Only targets the Israeli state, and not civilians. Otherwise I`d be looking for ways to donate.

please correct me if I am wrong. after WWII land was assigned to the Jews. Palestine attacked the Jews, the Jews fought back and gained more land (in a conflict they did not start). So what is the issue? Are the Jews to say, well, we won even if you started it so here`s your land back?

How does a defensive action result in the total conquest of someone else`s lands? The answer is that it does not. Israel is the aggressor. The maps of Israel then and now prove it.

There appears to be an inherent problem in taking a religion of nearly 1,400 years which spans the globe and putting it into a linear timeline. The last three dates simply reflect this, in my opinion.

Oh, and @Gerry1of1... `History` covers a bit more than 30-ish years.

This actually makes perfect sense to me. Those last three events seriously shook the public view of muslims from "Those funny people who have a lot of oil and wear turbans" to "Evil terrorists who hate freedom and want to destroy America".

Whether Al-Qaeda are muslims or not is irrelevant. The point is, people blamed Islam as a whole for the attacks which resulted in a lot of persecution for Muslims that continues to this day.

Also handys003 I have an eagle which will destroy any other bird on this planet.

Out of curiosity. What do you think of the oldest dated Qur`an found in Yemen? It`s written in shorthand with no vowels or dots. Giving the words up toward 30 different meanings. It also has whole verse passages and chapters rearranged in the hidden text underneath.

Don`t be fooled: Islam is is utter BS, Made up by a bandit as he went along to suit his needs and desires and nothing else. Islam is slowly (far too slowly if you ask me) disintegrating as the number of Apostates grow and reject the horror that is Islam and Barbaric Sharia Law. Terrorism has always been part of Islam (just read the Q`ran), Islam thrives on terror.

Arabia feeds more mouths than needs fed.
Per citizen, Saudi Arabia (the majority of the Peninsula) is in the top 10 donors. So is Kuwait. The USA is not.
As a percentage of GNI, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait are both in the top 10 (at 5th and 6th), Saudi Arabia is number 1. The USA ranks 7th.

Canada doesn`t place.

..back on topic that old Bush/Star Trek joke:-

The Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations had just finished giving a speech, and walked out into the lobby, where he met President Bush.

They shook hands, and as they walked, the Iranian said, "You know, I have just one question about what I have seen in America."

President Bush said, "Well, anything I can do to help you, I will."

The Iranian whispered, "My son watches this show
`Star Trek`, and in it there is Chekhov, who is a Russian, Scotty who is Scottish, and Sulu who is Chinese, but no Muslims. My son is very upset, and doesn`t understand why there aren`t any Muslims on Star Trek."

President Bush laughed, leaned toward the Iranian ambassador, and whispered back, "It`s because it takes place in the future."
