Talk about two birds with one stone... or in this case an alligator and a hooked eel.

It`s sad that if this were a video of a man luring a dog with an eel like this, the world would be all over him for cruelty.

I can see a fishing lure on the eel`s mouth... so is he really intentionally trying to get the crocodile to electrocute itself? cruel.... but original

@ViiZedek

Your comment.
It`s just so full of poo.

There`s nothing wrong with Brazil, or with Muslims.

I`m Brazilian myself and I bet you have no reason to "hate Brazil".

most likely fishing for what ever you can see the bait in the eels mouth and theres some blood leeching out from around it`s mouth you can see it in the water theni think he pulls on the string draggin it further up the bank and then the crocodile bits i have no idea why the shock lasted that long but idk how long it normally lasts could have just knock the caiman out but idk

It`s an alligator.

And @ViiZedek: Brazil is great!

There`s definitely a rope/string coming from the guys hand at the 0:42 mark, so maybe the guy was fishing? He could have caught the eel and the croc could have followed to the bank. And as for the comment "their voltage is to stun, not kill large, heavy, reptiles", wouldn`t the electric charge from the eel cause the croc`s muscles to constrict, thus uncontrollably clenching its jaws on the eel, extending the electrocution to the point of death?

That`s just my little theory about all this mess.

what tipped me off this was fake was the fact eels dont like to crawl on earth, especially dead eels, even more especially dead eels with cables coming out of its mouth.

(their voltage is to stun, not kill large, heavy, reptiles)

Yeah, really. Why does he think everyone wants to look at him instead of the crocodile? Probably from one of those muslim countries where men think they are the center of the universe.

@mirnik I assumed that the croc had come up to the eel he had fished to eat it, and he was reluctant to drag a crocodile`s food away from it towards himself...

@ruthless1990: I am sure the guy set this up. Check the string going from the guy to the eel on the left of the tree there, and you can also see the guy is holding a stretched string. You can also see eel looks like suffering and cannot move. I do not know if the guy did this just for fun or money. But mother nature is still crazy because of people.
Did you see the size of that eel! Science demonstrated 1 foot = 100 volts. Looks 6 to 5 feet. Do the math. That`s twice of your home electric outlet.
Perhaps YOU should do the math before you tell others to.

An electric eel only generates a few hundred volts of potential and a few hundred watts of power, but it has a unique electrical sense that allows it to apply the voltage to its victim in the most devastating way possible. It can "feel" the other animal`s nervous systems and conductive pathways.

The vain fellow holding the camera is too interested in putting the camera on himself instead of the eel, so we don`t get to see any of this subtle maneuvering.

@MrTwidget a eel produces around 300-600V but it`s not the Volts that kills it`s the Amps, And they can pump out as "low" as 1 Amps but it takes only 65mA (.06 amps) to the heart to kill a human and the cayman is in the water with his mouth open so I would say around 0.5A went straight to his heart. and finally 21.1 gigawatt is not volt -.- but a eel could produce around 600W max

The eel was caught by the guy filming. You can see him holding the fishing line.

He lured the Crocodile with it by the bank, so he could fime the eel killing the croc.

The guy set up all that. He cought the eel, and pulled it out of the water a little bit and kept there, and then the poor crocodile came around :( You can see the string the guy holding firmly so that the eel can not get away. So both animals are victims here.

Its 1.21 gigawatts, :P

An electric eel packs enough punch to kill anything human sized or smaller, thing is, they can shock themselves too, so its possible that he shocked them both to death.

How about we capture and raise electric eels to feed our power supplies? We could put them in a fish tank and run the wires throughout the house... How about a car with an eel tank? Ha! feel free to steal those ideas. I`m much too busy playing Black Ops to persue it.
