Worst ever? Oh my no, Check out Ramsey, Eduardo or Diabys from Arsenal or Alan Smiths from Man u, just off the top of my head. All fairly recent (The Arsenal ones were all within the space of 3 or 4 years if I remember rightly)

All players have come back to play footie after seemingly career ending injuries, unfortunately, with the exception of Ramsey (he`s only just come back, too early to tell) all have been greatly affected by the aftermath of the injuries. Eduardo in particular was never the same player after his injury.

Aaron Ramsey Leg Break

@ROK9

Arsenal vs Stoke, Aaron Ramsey (arguably one of the best new young talents) has his leg broken and career practically ended with one tackle. Look at the emotions all around here, they all know what it means. Tough for him as well though, didn`t mean to do it of course but what can you do.

@APJ

I agree, it is nearly impossible for a team to keep everyone healthy with the amount of games/training/travel. They don`t always get enough rest and 90 minutes at that level must be brutal. I mean I have been crying with Chelsea`s form and injury woes lately.

@EntrE

Exactly, they are plenty of broken legs in football (I was going to mention the Eduardo incident like Inter237). I would even go as far as to say it`s more dangerous than American Football (not referring to all the `injuries` that the diving players get - proper football).

@I-IS-BORED

Inter is referring to the clip he posted.

As much as I`d like to see it, I really don`t need that image in my head the rest of the week. I`ll just know that it was nasty and really sucks for the poor guy.

"Who knew soccer could be so violent?" every time i read something like this it just makes me wanna punch someone. if you really didn`t know that football players also get hurt then you either have never played football, or have been living with your head in your ass your entire life

Go like 45 seconds in to see it happen. So bad. This also happened to my best friend during one of our high school games. Worst thing I have ever seen and loudest crack. It is all about determination to recover.

@ Auburn. Not always. There have been some other famous breaks like these and the players have recovered. Eduardo Broken Leg It will make you cringe and he is back and playing again.

I wonder if this is why you hear so much about these players taking falls. Maybe they are doing it proactively. "If I fake the fall, and try to pull the foul, I won`t get hurt."

I broke my femur before, and on a scale from one to ten on how much it hurt, it was about an 11.5; breaking a leg bone hurts like a mutherf*cker.

I like how the dude in red is already in the "Fake-it" motions that someone hurt HIS leg. White dude deserves it though for making such a flagrant disregard for safety and rules. Career = Over

thing is boys and girls of america, american football is about BIG contact, and BIG hits... but you rarely get limbs/appendages at risk like you do in football. sure the game isnt as "tough", no argument there, but you would be surprised how often this happens.

one more thing. when you;re there in the crowd, you can hear the leg break. it`s pretty nasty.
