ugh. Doesn`t even look good. I like graffiti that isn`t just tags of stupid street names, this is just a giant dumb tag, doesn`t even look good, and it`s a giant hazard to the train and the people inside of the train. Do this poo inside of tunnels, where a little bit of color can liven up the place, not on a train, where people like to look out of the goddam windows.

lol, so what, defacing the property of a corporation, you`ve got to admire their coordination.

and im sure they are very sorry to all of you who didn`t think it was that great of art.

everyone needs to chill, its not like they were gang raping a bunch of kittens, burn a bowl down and eating some chips people, still got 2 years `til the world ends.

One of them was inside the train before they started spraying and pulled the emergency break. It takes a while for the train to be able to drive again, so they had plenty of time.

As a person very interested and involved in graffiti here in Chicago, IMO this is a waste of time and especially paint ( even thought paint is prob legal where this is at) other ppl here are right it will be gone the day after this was done. Do the side of a store or office building or climb up a fire escape and do sum rooftops. if i was on that train I would of been pissed!?!!...I could understand why this would be fun, half the appeal of vandalism is the thrill. Look up TKO crew they have a good mix of vandalism and graffiti. Or if you live in Chicago go to the abandon candy factory on Lake and Cicero some of the BEST graffiti you can find in Chicago! ( your gonna have to climb a fence or two)

Evil, a wall of some shop is ok, but this covers windows and slows down the train. Just hinders ppl, cost money to get it off and your work wont even last a week. And som eppl i might add get sick if hey can`t look outside...

So was the train making a stop and the taggers just went on with their business? Why didn`t the conductor start the train? Can someone explain?

Seriously? Ok I don`t mind graffiti (on BUILDINGS, not trains.) if it looks good.. but this is just ridiculous. And extremely childish. These kids needs to grow up and stop harassing other people. Those poor people probably had to sit there for at least an hour waiting for assistance. And I`m guessing they were scared s**tless too. PLUS they ruined a perfectly good train with that ugly loooking thing. Who knows how many hours that thing took to remove. And how much of the tax-payers money actually was used in the process. I say YES to good-looking graffiti on buildings.. NO(!) to things like this.

Yeah that was lame. It is one thing for good graffiti that doesn`t harm anyone. But that was terrible and caused quite a ruckus.

Male 536
How the hell could this be considered good clean fun. Good clean fun doesn`t harm anyone - this will cost loads of money to clean up and they shut down a train mid-transit. non-nice individuals.

graffiti is art, like it or not. and when its done well it can really send a message. im not saying its good to do it to things like a train in the middle of transit, but its definitely interesting

That is ridiculous, I don`t mind graffiti if it actually looks good, but that didn`t and the fact that they also put some on the drivers front window means that he`s not supposed to move the train so he will have to wait for assistance. And they probably scared loads of passengers on the train, all for what? It doesn`t even look any good.

Wow...all that effort to graffiti some illegible tag on a train that`s going to look good as new in a few days time.
Clearly, money + time well spent :/

Kid, when you`re old enough to pay taxes and then realise that you`re the one that has to pay to clean up the mess made by these criminals, then you might feel a little different.

Some graffiti is superb, but that was not. If it is good art and improves a structure (which some graffiti does) then I am all for it- but holding up a train and spraying it with crap is just stupid.

Wtf, what a bunch of retards. Why was this necessary? They are defacing private property, the conductor will probably lose his/her job, and the end result doesn`t even look good. drating scum...

Ok... I signed in just to comment on this video. The caption, "evil or just clean fun?"... well I`m usually for the underdog. However, these people are defacing private property. And... it didn`t look that great in the end. They`re all loosers. Grown up, spray painting, gang roaming, masked men boys destroying expensive equipment.

Q:"When has tagging gotten anyone anywhere except a jail cell? Not exatly a road to success"
A:Richie "SEEN" Mirando-one of the "godfathers" of graffiti has his own line of toy figurines and a very successful tattoo & piercing buisness here in the Bronx. He has appeared in numerous documentaries, and his art work has been featured in many art galleries around the world.
A2:Marc "Ecko" has an EXTREMELY successful national clothing line called Ecko Unltd.
Besides these two there are various graffiti artists that make very nice livings painting murals, such as TATS.CRU here in NYC. They may above board now, but their roots are firmly planted in the illegal underground graffiti movement of the 70`s and 80`s. hope that answers your question.

"Wikipedia Shepard Fairey"

okay I did and ... "Fairey became involved with art in 1984, when he started to place his drawings on skateboards and T-shirts"

He started getting arrested LATER in his career for publicity. Not the same thing at all.

like the dogs they are, they try and mark territory by pissing on the rest of us.

They should pay restitution for the damage they cause.

These criminals should have their wrists and elbows smashed with a baseball bat. They`d think twice about doing that again!
They are criminals, this has nothing at all to do with "art" of any kind.
If it WERE art, they`d go spray their OWN cars! That I`d be fine with.

Step 1: Find where they live.
Step 2: Paint every wall, floor, ceiling, surface and item of property in their home a charming poo-brown.
Step 3: Tell them I think it looks good, and they shouldn`t complain about me painting their property to look how I want when they are doing it to everyone else`s property.

These guys are the reason so much graffiti looks like poo. There is a lot of beautiful awesome street art out there...this is the scum that writes a bunch of random letters on highway dividers.

kudos to the planning and stuff, but it`s just crappy vandalism as opposed to artistic tagging.

If was to organise a graffiti raid like that? I`d turn that train into the hungry caterpillar.

w/e it was, it was pretty well thought out, and pretty impressive, morally wrong though? well someone has to spend time cleaning it and lots of train passengers will probably have their train delayed or even cancelled
i know ive had my train delayed because of vandalism
but still, pretty clever

Actually Gerry, tagging skills are rather honored if you do it well. People like that will usually go to graphic design schools or something of the sort after they find their art is good enough. Where would we be without them?

Anyway, I appreciate a good tagger if it`s artistic and not the markings of a gang, and done respectively.

That`s more wrong than it is fun. But still, pretty tight

I understand they pulled all those E-Breaks and stuff, but could the conductor not override them at some point? Did he just sit there and let them do that for a majority of the time?

Yet they can`t get a job or stay in scholl...

Completly agree with you - street art and stuff no problem - but all this will result in is a several thousand dollar bill to the taxpayers to remove it.

You`re correct - they have not thought out the impact of their actions....wankers!
