    In his case lib=arrogant.

All you have to do is watch and listen to hear how superior he thinks he is. At least his groupies laughed at the right times while sipping their Koolaid.

How valid is this? He references an email by Ann Coulter (1:51) click here, and then I think blends an article by her with another email after a short pause leaving the impression the content was from her email? Do you really think she would write him such? Knowing he would make it available to the media? I think this was a performance for his buddies, and edited for laughs.

Because he is superior? Last time I check, those who don`t believe in an invisible flying man who grants every wish you have (as long as you ask realllly nicely and reallly mean it) are actually insane. And I find sane people to be quite superior to those who are otherwise not.

I feel superior to all the internetmorons that send me hate mail, as well. The very fact that they are sending him death threats and hate mail means that he IS superior to them...

So I don`t see A.) how you can call him arrogant, B.) How you can call liberals arrogant, C.) how you can justify calling him arrogant when in the face of all your previous statements you are clearly at least, if not more, arrogant than he is.

Ah, but that`s the beauty of IAB. You`d be amazed how users who are diametrically opposed on certain issues can stand side by side on other issues.

Examples: Crakrjak and I stand shoulder-to-shoulder on 9-11 conspiracy theorist bullcrap. 5Cats and I agree on many things socio-economic. OldOllie and I (he might be surprised to learn) think that smaller government is probably a good idea.

On the counter, even me and my fellow Mods such as Baalthazaq (an Arab Muslim) and Lionhart (a Young-Earth Creationist) have been ripping each others` throats out on religious issues on these very boards for years now.

You`d be amazed at the diversity, alliances, etc that we get in this place. One of the reasons I stick around. It cures my boredom, which is kinda the central tenet.

I do not judge, I observe collect information and then come to conclusions. I am ready to admit that I am wrong on many subjects if some one presents a good counter point. Richard Dawkins could have God Himself say to him that he(Dawkins) is wrong and Dawkins would say that God is a liar.(slight exaggeration but you get the point)

I have listened to Dawkins arguments and lectures and have found them to be lacking.

And we are all are a little arrogent.

    That`s what judging is, doofus.

"Richard Dawkins could have God Himself say to him that he(Dawkins) is wrong and Dawkins would say that God is a liar.(slight exaggeration but you get the point)"

I have to disagree with you here. Dawkins is a steadfast pioneer of demanding evidence for a claim before affording it any credibility. In fact, I believe he`s said many times that if god appeared in front of him and demonstrated his existence to the exclusion of any other possibility, he would change his beliefs accordingly. His problem is that this simply has not happened, not to him, not to anyone.

    SpoonFork:

That attitude has already taken people out of the dark ages not just once but twice. Once in the Mediterranean area after the dark age that came after the rapid collapse of bronze age civilisation and once in Europe after the dark age that came after the collapse of the Roman empire.

Although `dark age` is a bit of a misleading phrase. They were dark in the sense of a lack of written records to illuminate them to modern historians. They weren`t necessarily dreadful times to live. They were stagnant, though. There was no chance of progress until that attitude returned.

It`s not just for science. Anyone with any sense uses it. Say, for example, you were an ancient Greek farmer and someone told you about a way to farm your land more efficiently - wouldn`t you (a) think about whether or not it could work, (b) try it if you thought it might and (c) compare it with the previous way you were using to see if it did work?

@Davymid: "Ah, but that`s the beauty of IAB. You`d be amazed how users who are diametrically opposed on certain issues can stand side by side on other issues."

I disagree with you completely. But, only because you used big words that I don`t understand.

    That is all, carry on.

The pure hatred of christians makes the muslims look sane.

None of the extremist Christians have murdered him and everyone who was near him or anyone who might have not opposed him or anyone who happened to be of the same nationality as him, so they`re obviously nowhere near as bad as the extremist Muslims.

Nearly all Muslims are, like nearly all Christians, sane. Unless you regard theism as a sign of insanity, which is arguable. It`s not "sane" that`s the issue. It`s "vile" and "dangerous". People can be both and be sane at the same time. Most theists, even Christians and Muslims, aren`t vile or dangerous either. The problem is that the ones who are are very much so and they tend to end up in power unless great steps are taken to stop them, because they want total power and they`ll do anything to get it.

Many victims of theist regimes are theists of the same religion and that was also true of theist regimes

Hey, Angilion, "None of the extremist Christians have murdered him and everyone who was near him or anyone who might have not opposed him or anyone who happened to be of the same nationality as him, so they`re obviously nowhere near as bad as the extremist Muslims." so what do you call the crusades, then? merry peaceful celebratory encounters?

    @Arandanos:
"so what do you call the crusades, then? merry peaceful celebratory encounters?"

I am getting sick and drating tired of people comparing the Crusades to current events.

First off: The Crusades occured between 1095-1291 AD... a span of almost 200 years.

I am one of those that consider all forms of theism to be anywhere from a mild form of insanity to a huge form of insanity depending on the level of fanaticism.

But for the love of all things (insert term here), please, oh please stop comparing the Crusades to, well... anything current really. To include, Islamic Extremism, any kind of Holocaust, North Korean Regime, or even modern day Christianity.

That is, unless Dawkins travels back through time and gets persecuted and/or killed by the Crusades.

Hey, Arandanos, I have two questions for you:

    i) How are you managing to post to IAB today when you live in the 13th century at the latest?

ii) Since you live in the 13th century at the latest, how are you aware of the world as it is now?

Unless you`re claiming to be a time traveller who lives part of the time now and part of the time at least 730 years ago, your post makes no sense at all. Even if you are making that claim, your post would require you to be so unhinged by all that time travel that you can no longer tell the difference between then and now.

    It`s babble.

It`s sad that these "Christians" are wishing painful death and eternal damnation for this person. It shows they don`t know anything about their religion, I guess.

One thing, though. In each reading, I could hear George Takei saying, "You are a douchebag," to the writer.
