If there was ever going to be an I-Phone killer, this would be it. Perhaps not in sales, but certainly in quality.

This concept phone is awesome, but probably needs a battery like the one in Tony Stark`s chest.

Most of the functions is already available technology though. They just need power.

Who said this is an android phone? Looks to me like Mozilla is working on their own platform.

how is being able to do a projected presentation off your phone without carrying your laptop, your $900 lcd projector and all the cords and extensions "frivolous"?

will be really cool if they can pull it off. so far looks like all that tech in that small a package would put it out of most people`s price range

I don`t like the keyboard layout at all, but everything else is pure genius.

I really liked the dock and projector idea, as well as the projected key board. However I don`t think that something like that is possible right now for the current market. I would think that if the phone actually came to life that it would seriously be somewhere around the $1000-1500 range.

Kind of frivolous, wouldn`t you think?

So...it`s a video of someone`s ideas, none of which are new. Tiny woo.

It would raise interesting new issues of etiquette if it existed. For example, would it be rude to use someone`s back to project your display onto?

dratin videos stuttering even when my internet is supposed to get me 20mb download during nonpeak hours. WHY DOES YOUTUBE HATE ME?

About the phone though, seeing as how it`s still a concept, I`m not all that impressed. I`d love to play around with something that could ACTUALLY do all that, but I`m not sure how much I`d actually like to have to wave around a bluetooth dongle or pretend I`m typing on a virtual keyboard. But hey, get me one and I`ll give it a shot.

Saw this two months ago on Engadget. Mozilla has no plans whatsoever to build this or any other phone. Billy May, working through Mozilla`s "Open Web Concept Phone" project, got a lot of community feedback and developed this concept. You may not "need" half the other features right now, but within 10 minutes of getting one, you would try them out and someone would find another use for them.

Needs a physical keyboard. I wouldn`t even need half the other features.

madduck- it has a torch, 480 lumens I think it said.
and bobhub, knowing how mozilla feels about open source, if it doesn`t, someone will make it so it does.
looks like the epic of epicness.

That`s pretty neato and all, but it`s just a concept. It`ll be at least 5 years before something like that is technologically possible. And even so, it`ll cost you more than even a standard laptop, but won`t be as easy to use as an iPad.
But still, it`s a cool look into what`s probably going to be out in the future.

Very nice- now, the important part- can I make and receive a phone call without needing my glasses,Can I find it at the bottom of my bag, and does it have a torch?

I have a cell phone.
It flips open and I can make calls on it.

I don`t need anything else.
I don`t need a camera.
I don`t need a video recorder.
I don`t need internet access.
I don`t need games.
I don`t need a video player.

and I don`t want any of those things either.

sometimes, it`s just too much tech.
Simplify.

The embedded mouse/blue tooth is very clever. As well as the dock projection screen. You can take the mouse out and the projection and have a instant laptop....
I know I dont like using the internet on my phone because of the hassle of scrolling and how the webpages look.... This would change that...
Its really cool....
