Maybe if these parents didn`t have their kids in the "Smoking Area" they might have the brains to know that Disney World is a great place for them.

To be fair, if you`d been in a car all night and been looking forward to going to Dick`s house and then someone told you you weren`t, you`d be pretty let down initially too. I don`t think they`re old enough to understand the "ooo disneyworld" social stereotype that seems to be expected. At least they`re kids with their own tastes.

what a bunch of ungrateful brats...

@ topperhey: the last part of your comment really doesn`t make sense. millions upon millions of children younger than the age of 5 LOVE Disney World, and has nothing to with some perceived "stereotype".

maybe these kids just weren`t exposed enough to Disney to really put 2 and 2 together...but the older one should know better than to act like some spoiled little child.

The matching shirt thing in the beginning was a little much, when the mom(?) said "put these on". I always hated that crap going to amusement parks. But those kids need to be slapped. WOW, reading the comments I realize I had a totally different reaction.

Good for those kids for not wanting to go to Disney. For them it is for reason different from mine, but really the Mom should be grateful for the money she will save. She also may not want to surprise them like that if she had been telling them they were going somewhere they were excited about in the fist place. Obviously "Dick`s place" is something they know and understand and have wrapped their brains around. They proabably already had all the excitement and expectation built up just to have it all dashed by some lame surprise called Disney.

And for the Mom, how ignorant do you have to be to think Disney is at all a place where modern and financially responsible kids/adults would want to subject themselves to? It`s a friggin racket to say the least.

The kid at the end said, "I been wanting to go to Dick`s house for a long time now"... that says it all right there.

I think these poor kids have been telling their Mom about it and the Mom has been feeding them lies about how they were finally going to Dick`s house. Don`t lie to your kids no matter how good your intentions are. Oh, and maybe don`t sit them in the smoking section too.

Kids are kids, you can`t fault them. I blame the parent. Don`t feed them stupid stories and get there hopes up about one thing for a while and expect them to be all happy when you suddenly pull a 180. Kids need their parents to be consistent. I think the Mom wanted to go more for herself, that`s just a hunch.

Also, how is a child who appreciates the value of visiting a friend or family member more than some over-priced amusement park spoiled or a brat? The two younger kids couldn`t help their reactions, and the eldest contained himself really well. I`d be proud to have kids like that.

Hahaha! Good for those kids. Disney sucks. Especially sorry for the older one. I had to go there at his age. Having grown up next to Cedar Point, and always visited family on vacation, Disney is nothing but an overpriced joke. Maybe if it didnt cost so much I wouldnt feel that way, but no way is it worth the money.

"We`ve been wanting to go to Dick`s house for a long time, now." I can`t help but side with the kids on this one. Despite the obvious poor choices their mother (??) is making just on the video itself, reading between the lines shows that she did something that most children find very disheartening and is quite poor for child development: broken promises. One of the few key indicators of a child`s future success is stability. This woman obviously doesn`t know these children very well as she SO CLEARLY missed the mark on their unified and clear opinion on the issue. The boy at the end spoke eloquently and concisely as to why this was a problem. Hopefully the mom takes a lesson. I hope that those who roundly presume that these children are just spoiled don`t have any children themselves. And don`t even get me started on how awesome it is that they are choosing human interaction over the corporatized silliness of Disney. Bravo, kids, I hope your mom figures it out.

i freaking love disney world!! there`s nothing better than seeing a kid`s face the first time they see the castle at magic kingdom or visit mickey`s house for the first time. i`ll never forget how my niece`s face lit up when she met the princesses at the princess breakfast in the castle, we completely surprised her and it was her favorite part of the whole trip. i guess it depends on who you go with because it seems like a lot of people here are focused on the price.

For something like Disneyworld, since it DOES cost so much money to go, I wouldn`t use it as a surprise unless I was absolutely POSITIVE that they wanted to go. Obviously these kids have been bugging Mom to go to Dick`s house. She should have taken them to Dick`s house and saved Disneyworld for a time when she knew they actually wanted to go. Now she has three disappointed children and is going to have to drive all the way back to wherever they came from. Derp!

Disney world blow chucks. The kids had obviously been lead to believe they were going to a different destination than the one the mother(?) planned. The change in plans (the surprise), was totally 180 from the expectations and excitement attached to the original plan. Lies lead to mistrust, mistrust leads to rebellion...

    What did the woman expect?

To all the people saying they`d love to slap these unappreciative brats; did we just watch the same video?

Sounds to me like Dick is someone really special to these kids and their mother doesn`t quite seem to get that. Just from the way she acts in this video she seems really out of touch with her kids. I side with them, not her.

Of course, none of us can know entirely who any of them are/what their situation is. There could be a million things going on we don`t know about.

Very possible @KekS! Which would make her a "Mom of the year" candidate!

Give the little ones a break! Despite what the TV ads say, little kids are NOT hooked on all things Disney. If you`re going to trick them, tell them they`re going to see the Florida Treestump Museum, THEN tell them it`s Disney! lolz!

What drating brats. Seriously. Drop those D-bags off at an orphanage and take three kids from there who would lop off an arm to go to drating Disney land.

If they`d been driving all night the kids are cranky. I was a little bastard in the morning when I was younger. I`m sure they`ll get to Disney World and be super stoked.

Honestly, Dick is obviously their drating father, they`re clearly divorced(I mean, who wouldn`t divorce that bitch?), so quit tell everyone how much you want to "drating shoot" a probably 4, 7 and 10 year old, holy poo you people are retarded, they wanted to see their dad not go to drating go to disney world, they didn`t even seem like the disney type kids lol.

I actually feel really bad for those kids, Dick is obviously someone really important to them...And to me it seems as if though the oldest kid is trying to hold back tears, that`s how I used to do it at that age, become all wooden, lots of blinking and looking away, and when talked to I would bite my lip to keep from crying, kind of sad actually.

Hmm...I think we`re missing some context here. Dick must be really important to them and the lady (mom?) is using Disney world to keep them away. Just looking at the oldest`s response tells me that there is way more going on then we know.

Dick is probably their step-father that was with them for a long time and has epic stuff at his place that the kids loved. The girl probably didn`t love it because everybody knows girls have no sense of fun.

should have spent the money on a spa day, instead of on those ungrateful brats. but then again, some kids just don`t like surprises.

Hey, I don`t even know who Dick is and I`d still go to his house over Disneyworld. Screw the people who took a legend of a man and took all his dreams and aspirations and added a 2 next to them.

That was a cool idea. If I was that young I would have been so excited! But yes Universal is way better. Especially if you stay in one of their resorts.

possible scenario maybe? dick is their dad and the mom beats them so they wanna go be with their dad, and she`s like "hah, you can`t escape, and i`m gonna kill you in the back of disneyworld or something crazy like that.... probably less extreme
