mamba Yes, you are correct about the hanging and drawing, but he wasn`t cut up, the quartering was done by horses pulling him apart. Didn`t want to confuse too many people, as one of the main things about burning him on the bonfires was that he say his own entrails burn in front of him as he died. Gruesome.

My Fellow Americans for one second take your head out of your ass for one second and realize that V for vendetta is not a history lesson. Guy Fawkes was not promoting an anarchist form of government. He was trying to blow up parliament so he could help install an oppressive government, much like the one from the movie. SO in reality by claiming he`s an awesome guy is basically going against every single freedom you take for granted. Good job forwarding the stereotype that Americans are ignorant, you`re a credit to your people. Now go make some crystals with Bleach and Ammonia remember to blow really hard into the straw or you won;t get awesome colored crystals.

"Okay European people, it`s sad, but most Americans don`t have any clue who Guy Fawkes was. That`s just how it is."

European people? Guy Fawkes basically only concerns British people... I know it`s hard to imagine that Europe is more than an amorphous blob with weird accents and languages, big ben the eiffel tower and the colliseum within walking distance, and nude beaches... but if you turn off jersey shore for a second, put your dick back in your pants, and pick up a globe, you`ll see a bunch of different colors in Europe! All those separate colors are separate and individual countries with their own identity and culture. So no, Gay Fawkes is not a "European" thing... Is this blowing your mind a little too much? Just forget what I said, take your dick back out, and turn jersey shore back on...

I think this would be better if it was `V` with a noose around his neck, instead of guy fawkes.
as much as i hate to see him die, but still...

Just sayin

Guy Fawkes plotted to blow up the "Houses of Parliment" - Government buildings in London UK in case people don`t know - in 1605. He failed, was cut open his insides burned n front of him then he was drawn and quartered (pulled apart by 4 horses).

Guys, they know it has nothing to do with our Thanksgiving. They were just making a joke that he looks like a Pilgrim. Good lord above.

Eh, doesn`t matter. Thanksgiving is really about how we`re glad the pilgrims managed to survive to start this country. We can`t just say that we wish this country didn`t exist, even if it was started by destroying another civilization that was here first.

What does Guy Fawkes have to do with Thanksgiving and people from India that happen to be citizens of the United States of America?

Where I live (St. John`s, Newfoundland) November 5th is Guy Fawkes night and people have bonfires all over. I bet he didn`t think he would be so well known over 400 years later

Are you kidding me? This is Guy Fawkes!
Words cannot express my outrage at the ignorance so prominently displayed in this post. Not only my outrage toward the poster, but also towards the I-A-B mods for allowing this crap to be posted.

I wish I could give negative stars.

I suspect that`s Guy Fawkes and this is British.

The red and white striped fabric at the bottom right appears to be someone`s shirt, not a flag.
