I used to work as door staff at the Jongleurs in Reading and on the rare occasions that he played I always made sure I was working the show.

Loved how you could see his reactions, knowing full well that he is not "in command" of what he`s about to "say".

Yup, I "like" quoting "stuff".

Meh. Seen probably 4 or 5 ventriloquists do almost the exact same act... Maybe they need to do it before they graduate from ventrilo-college or something.

There`s this version (with the mask) and also a version where they just squeeze the back of the neck of the volunteer. I`ve even seen a version where the guy started with the "neck pinch" option and then switched to the mask because the person wasn`t doing well enough or something.

Maybe it`s like the Aristocrats joke where every comic does it at some point?

Funny, all the volunteer can do is shake his head & laugh.

Agreed, arsonisbad - more disturbing than funny. Kudos to the volunteer for putting up with it, though, I have nightmares about things like this happening.

he gets those straps looking a bit better and this would be the greatest act of all time.

Oh I saw that guy a few months ago on a caravan park holiday! The bastard did the old "springing a fake snake from a basket" to me.

He also had this pair of eyes you strap onto your middle finger and use the thumb as a mouth. It was called the naked puppet or something.
