I love how he says he usually ties her to a tree with a straight face. And the just look of contempt on the kid`s face.

Deep Fried is not a fad... it`s a lifestyle and will never die out.

Usually being able to inject the marinade and letting the turkey marinate overnight means that it`s going to be thawed by the time you fry it...but, yeah, he should`ve been explicit about it.

Yes..please do ensure that your turkey is thawed .__.;

My papa makes these during the warmer months :) If you use a clean peanut oil that`s properly heated, when you lower in the turkey it sears the outside. It keeps it much more moist, seeing as the juices don`t drip out of the bird into the pan like when you roast it and it really doesn`t add much fat to the bird...I never eat the skin anyway.

It`s awesome for a bbq...then you can put in a whole shwack of french fries right after <3 :D

Gross? Are you kidding? Deep fried turkey is so good. It`s usually miles ("kilometers", for our Imperial-challenged friends) better than baked turkey. More flavor ("flavour"), better color ("colour"), and so juicy. I don`t fry because of the potential danger and mess. Instead, I smoke turkeys, and it`s just as good.

"He left out the most important detail.
MAKE SURE YOUR BIRD IS COMPLETELY THAWED.
Ice + Hot Oil = Explosions." I strongly recommend only using a fresh (not frozen)turkey. While he`s right about the ice, any water when it hits boiling oil(which boils at a higher temperature than water) instantly vaporizes and since oil and water dont mix it throws the oil out of the cooking vessel and all over the person standing in front of it causing crispy fried skin, but not on the turkey.

Ruth, don`t judge it unless you tried it. Ever bake a chicken? Ever eat fried chicken? Same concept. Plus if you use peanut oil, it`s just a little bit healthier than using lard ;P

not the first time ive heard of it. not that gross though. i mean if you are a person who doesnt like eating the skin you`ll throw it out anyway right? and the skin is the only part that gets deep fried everything else is moist delishousss.

and if you like eating skin, well i guess you`ll like deep fried turkey
