`Blue Screen of Death for the PC
Red Ring of Death for the Xbox..
I`m sure this has something like that too.
Green flashing lights of death maybe?`

Nah. Silver earpiece of `deaf`. It`ll be of such poor audio quality you`ll subject yourself to repeated hearing tests to the point of mental instability.
@OldOllie Maybe you should try not using your phone whilst driving at 75mph. Or when driving at all.
Well, without the voice recognition feature, or a screen you can read in a 1/2 second, you`re right, it`s dangerous as hell, which was my point.

Cool, I might get one of these. I could do with a new phone and I dislike my iPod Touch and Apple so I definitely won`t be getting an iPhone.

meh. When are we going to see truly new technology? All these phones are just variations of the same product. No innovation for quite some time.

I don`t know why but that Bing button bothers me to no end. It`s already frustrating that Microsoft and Google are having such a pissy fight that I can`t send a Hotmail message while using Chrome and my right click search options on Explorer are set to Bing. Microsoft lost any innovation it ever had and now simply copycats other companies and designers to come up with junk they force onto PC users. Almost makes me wanna switch to everything Apple.

Nothing about this phone or its advertisements fascinate me. Darn. I thought this would be one to repost for sure.

sorry, but this looks just cheap and very unfinished. i coded bbs apps more than 15 years ago, learned c++ and directx 9, html in 1995 and stuff.. i guess i could code that system in max. 14 days. ALONE.. ;) they are clowns at microsoft. its an art how hundreds of people need more than one year to code that with money available in the million dollars.. for what ? anyone can code that in a few days without money at all.. i don`t get it.

Look, Android, iOS and WP7 do the same things in radically different ways. Which way you prefer is a matter of choice.

Personally, I like the WP7 interface. It`s all digital. No rounded corner, no shadows, no 3D, no fake realism. It knows it`s 2D and is proud of it. Will I buy one? We`ll see, depends on phones released and developer uptake.

@Ripper398: Just because you don`t consider Windows Mobile smartphones, doesn`t make you right. It fits every definition of a smartphone. The WinMo (and PPC before it) devices that had phone radios were smarphones.

And WP7 is not based one "Window`s 7 software", whatever the hell that is. It`s based on, like all WinMo before it, Windows CE. In this case, it`s Windows CE 6.0 R3.

@rakoonhat - a company that makes technology seems a pretty random target for your passionate hatred. What have they done to you personally to warrant that hatred? Do they return the hatred, or is it kind of like hating a brick wall?

Android 2.2 runs flash as well. Apple still needs to catch up and Windows may experience blue screens

I`m skeptical. My phone runs Win Mobile 6. MS had a GREAT product in Windows Live Search. I used it all the time. It was basically an Internet yellow pages that used voice recognition. You spoke the name of a city and state, and then the name or category of a business. It almost always got it right on the first try. You picked the one you wanted, and then with a couple of clicks you could call them or get a map from your GPS location with turn-by-turn directions.

Then they FORCED me to "upgrade" to Bing. I have never seen a worse example of useless, half-baked CRAPWARE as this putrid floating turd of a program. The voice recognition and GPS stopped working completely, and the user interface totally SUCKS. The "cursor" is now two dark orange hairlines above and below the selection against a $#!+ brown background! Try reading THAT on a 2.5" screen while driving in 75 mph traffic on a bright sunny day wearing polarized sunglasses!

I don`t see how is it better than, say, Samsung Epic 4G or Motorola Droid 2. Also, physical keyboard is way better than any virtual crap. Multi-touch AND physical keyboard is simply awesome, though.

P.S. check out the minimum system requirements for this OS: 1GHz, 256 Mb of RAM and a GPU with DX9 support! What a beast. Expect lags.

I don`t consider pocket pc`s smart phones. And it`s not the 7th version. It`s operating on Window`s 7 software. I love android, but these smart phones are over priced and really not worth it.

"do you own a smart phone? I dont think that you do..."

Yeah, I do. And Email is the most important thing I use it for. I do often use the web as well - and i do happen to search on the web - but I would find it far more useful to have a dedicated button for email, not for searching the web.

"That thing is an organizational and navigational disaster, and this video just goes to re-emphasize that fact.

And a dedicated "Bing" button? I can think of hundred better uses for that button: Email, SMS, Settings, Camera, notes app, contacts, and social networking, just to name a few.

Seriously, who needs to Bing on their phone often enough to justify a button for it? Er... i mean search. That just sounded dirty."

do you own a smart phone? I dont think that you do...searching is a pretty important feature, having bing at the press of a button will be more useful than anything you listed. Also, windows phone 7 has the best user interface. It is much easier than android, and even easier than iphone...(this is coming from someone who hates iphone, and loves android mind you). Windows Phone 7 is going to give android and apple a run for there money, no doubt about it

there is nothing that that phone just advertised that my nexus one cannot do and cannot do better.
On top of that I also get to use google rather than bing.

Windows phone is just an operating system, such as Symbian or Android. There isn`t any actual device called "windows phone 7". Manufacturers like HTC, Samsung an LG are working on such. The operating system itself kinda sucks - the apps will require approval from Microsoft, no copy-paste and no text editing.
And it is ridiculous when in adds they brag about really old features like picture sharing. I`m looking at you, mr Jobs "look, a phone that can take pictures and do email! Like for real! And the unimaginable, out of this world thig we call videocall*! (*worse than the videocall you`re used to)"

I don`t see how this phone does anything that the majority of other smart phones (especially the iPhone) doesn`t do. Unless they`re hoping to catch those that have not yet switched to smartphones, they will not be getting too many people switching from their droid or iPhone to this.
