There is a Rubik cube for blondes in one shade of pink that I have bought for a blonde friend of mine and she didn`t get it... It was hilarious!

Light is made up of electromagnetic waves. The visual spectrum is from 400-700 nm. Each wave is a different colour. With perfect eye sight 300 colours should be present. The ability to see these colours depends on 4 things. A separate cone for each wavelength, optic nerve fibres for each colour, visual cortex neurons sensitive to each colour, and the difference in stimulation of red, blue, and green sensitive cones. Colour blindness is caused by either the cones being absent or the difference in the peak sensitivity of the cones. Green (533nm) and red (564nm) are close together so if the peak sensitivity of either switches the person is unable to discern the difference between the two colours.

@TKD_Master
So you`re willing to complain about it but unwilling to at least give people a proper direction? How moronic.
What if they searched for "colorblind" and found an article that was also in the wrong? It would reinforce their wrong belief as to what being colorblind is.

There are other advantages: certain variations of colour blindness afford an ability to better discern some types of camoflage, which those with normal vision would be far less able to do.

Actually it`s yellow blue, and the more common red green. This is still funny though.

You guys are assuming retinal colorblindness. The joke works if you assume the less common cortical colorblindness.

just read your posts, dude21862004, and that`s not accurate. even with red/green color blindness, there are variations. my dad is colorblind and can usually tell the difference, although it depends on the shade of the color.

"Clever, except that colorblind usually means you just can`t see red. So it would have to at least be partially done"
dont ruin the joke -.-

Looked it up and the main colorblind deficiencies are the inability to see the difference between red and green, and blue and yellow. With total colorblindness not all that common.
