Angilion: I do believe bones dated to Roman times, Found in the catacombs, Gave them plenty of data.

But yeah, Mercury, Lead, Sodium Fluoride, and other poisons really shortened people`s lives back then.
Angilion: I believe research in that area, Has determined that mercury poisoning likely drove him and many Romans mad.
I can see how that could fit the facts, but how could any such research be done? It`s not like anyone can do an autopsy.

Mercury and lead. Not a good combination.

When I was a young(er) chap shopping at the Commissary with my mom and dad (who was in the Army), they had parking spots for your carts next to the meat section. When we would park our cart there I would march back and forth, guarding the cart with my little "Hut! Two! Three! Four!". This video reminds me of me, fun times.

"uh splurby you`re at most 39, you`re too young to have seen ANY of Nazi Germany as a prisoner so no poo you haven`t seen as much as him"

LOL really? Please re-read what I wrote... read it carefully. Did I say that I have seen as much as him? Did I actually try to even remotely say I have been in the same wars? I am not even going to flame you man... I am simply not in the mood. Just go back and read it then get back to me if you must.

Now Worries Gerry, I own an FAL and the one in the pic is nice looking. Looks like it has seen a little use.

I would take the kid with the cane a stomp his guts out. Then when he`s lying in some unnatural postion on the ground, hemmoraging and twitching with a confused look on his face as his eyes slowly glaze over... I will say, "It`s not so cool being a soldier now, is it??"

Gerry.. WahHaHa.. you always crack me up dude.

Angilion.. You never do. Please lighten up, just a wee bit.
(just saying so please don`t go off on a tirade on me)

Crakrjak.. Didn`t he have tape worms also? (Caligula not Angilion)

@CrakrJak - Wasn`t it usually the manual labor types, who worked in the mercury mines and the industrial workers who used it that usually got mercury poisoning? Lead poisoning was more common in higher class due to lead pipes and the best wine being brewed in lead vessels. Though that usually just has the symptom of death..

Dayum people. I didn`t go off on a tirade. I don`t need comforted. "there there gerry". It was just a picture. ... trolling really to stir up some dynamic here. Kinda like people who say "death to kittens" [you know who you are].

I thought the kid was adorable.

Children Soldiers- NOT CUTE

Children dressing up as Guards and mimicking them because they think they`re cool?

What about the most famous "cute" child soldier of them all? Caligula. Yes, *that* Caligula. Nicknamed Caligula ("little boots") as a child because he wore a scaled-down soldier`s uniform, of which the most distinctive feature was the military-issue boots (caligae). The soldiers thought he was cute.

I`d love to look back in time and find out what exactly caused the extreme change in his personality. History records that he was ill and recovered a completely changed man...but what sort of illness turns a popular, cheerful and capable man into a brutal raving nutjob?
