She is speaking English, very clear English, in an Engliah accent, if you can`t understand her you need your hearing tested.

I live in Tampa Florida and work on the second story of a warehouse. A few years back when a space shuttle landed at Cape Kennedy, the sonic boom it made was right over our heads and shook the floor like a wave.

She`s wrong about the visual effect. that is caused only in special conditions when there is enough moisture in the air to condense when the cooling effect of the pressure differential is caused by the sonic boom. You normally only see it over the ocean.

This was a poor explanation of a sonic boom and much more complicated than it needed to be.

I hate to be a stickler here, But the space shuttles do break the sound barrier on the way up, Not just on the way down.

If you ever watch a launch they don`t go `full throttle` until they break the sound barrier, After launch, To reduce stress on the vehicle.

Most of this video is derived from her personal observation which, obviously, is almost all wrong. The biggest flap I noticed was saying the shuttle does not break the barrier on the way up. Uhh, yeah. Alos the soundbye she provided seems to not even HAVE a sonic boom in it. At least not the booms ive heard through growing up military and serving 8 years in the Navy.

Odd lil tidbit o info though, unless it is air shows producing a sonic boom is actually frowned upon due to the immence amount of fuel it takes to achieve the speed. It is also incredibly damaging to the planes. This can cause stress fractures, mess with the instruments, and in one case I have seen myself, crack the HUD screen due to the vibration and pressure created.

(Okay, for all you libs getting ready to fling your poo at me, this is an example of self-deprecating humor. It`s a joke. I really do have friends, as I`m sure you do, too.)
