Not only vile, but stupid.

My brother is a Detective Sgt. with the Serious Crime Squad and those guys are totally by the book. Not because they are nice, but because you don`t spend hundreds of man hours taking someone down only to have the case binned because some idiot couldn`t keep his hands to himself or thought he could `improve` the case.

Serious coppers are pissed of by jerks like this just as much as the rest of us. Having said that, there are a lot of these jerks around at the lower levels of policing.

It is not (and must not be) the place of the police to mete out punishment. It doesn`t matter what the crime is. Be it child molesting or murder. As soon as ANYONE decides that "he had it coming" or some such; they advocate that Might makes Right. This leads to a very bad place that man must struggle to overcome or we may as well not exist.
As far as bad cops go, they don`t get away with anything for long without the help of other cops. I get tired of the threadbare "bad cops are just a small percentage of the police. Most cops are heroes" line. Cops stick-up for and cover up for other cops all the time. This is not "a few bad apples" here and there. It is a common and prevalent condition.

Sadly, cops are more and more becoming the bad guys.

If that was me or someone I knew: I would come back later and shoot that pig in the face. Yes I really would.

Kumar said it best. They`re just jocks who live to give others hard time after realizing they`re nothing special.

So a man that forcibly rapes and sodimizes a 10 year old girl should get the same treatment as a guy who gets in a fight at a bar, Mr. Star? You must be one at least a bit familiar with "the system"? I think there are different levels of evil, same as there are different levels punishment.

Pigs are Pigs, all over the world. It doesn`t matter what they did, the authorities are supposed to be responsible, civilized people. People like Flingspoo justify police brutality by the same old, same old "child molestation" hysteria. The fact is, if you look at the statistics gathered by the government, child molestation is approximately 1 tenth of one percent. Thanks to a sensationalist media and people like the poo-flinger, we`re all hyper paranoid about it.

You can have 100 great cops on a force and it doesn`t matter. It only takes one terrible cop to ruin the PD`s image.

Every country on earth has had instances of this happen every year since the beginning of time. Everywhere you have people policing other people`s actions, you have people exploiting that position to be a complete tool to everyone. I thought we had got used to the idea?

Well, I`d have to ask what they did. Are these child molesters and rapists, or are they drug dealers and people who`ve gotten in a fight at a bar? Big difference, I think. You stick your fingers in a 9 year old girl and have at the guy.

Honestly, if you were to list all the countries in the world in order of which you would most want to be arrested, the USA would be pretty near the top of the list.

Can you name just one country in all of South America, Africa, or Asia where you would rather be arrested than in the USA? (Japan doesn`t count since we kicked their asses 65 years ago and forced our system of justice on them.)

As a rule, cops here won`t drat with you if you don`t drat with them first.

"Wow Americans are pretty good at making fun of other countries, but when it come to talking about them and their "rep" they`re pretty defensive.

It was a joke, don`t take it the wrong way....it wasn`t funny.

And Canadians usually take Canadian jokes pretty well...in fact, the South Park movie is probably one of my favorite movies of all time."

It`s less making fun of us, and more the constantly making fun of us.

I mean I understand why the non-American Earthicans feel the need to try and smear the good name of the greatest country in the world. It`s just that when you do such a poor job it makes your kind(and by your kind I mean the barbarians from outside our borders) seem so intellectually inferior and even ignorant. Now please go take your "jokes" somewhere they are appreciated.

an American Reputation? WTF is that supposed to mean?

Most Americans left their ancestral countries because?.... they wanted better sushi?

I don`t think so!

:\ I don`t want to condone what they did, but I`d like to believe there was some explanation for the hose thing. Like one person said, possibly getting contraband out of the person`s mouth? I dunno police procedures but it seems like there could`ve been a more productive way of handling the hose thing.

no gerry, we refer to you guys as seppos

they took they guy out the back to wash the blood of his face with the hose, he got lippy so they jammed the hose down his mouth and proceed to torture him for the next five minutes ...
there was no way he had a gun, he was already detained by the police and cuffed, already been tenderised by the police hence the blood on his face, not much of a threat and no need to torture and beat up on ... 27 months in jail for the officer is not enough

@Henry Hendrix

This is Australia, not LA. We don`t have a large amount of gun violence. In the video the second guy was probably drunk and mouthing off to the cops, not threating to shoot them with his hands handcuffed behind his back. :/

It has become obvious to me that every body on this site are two year olds. Have you ever heard of Russian Police? This is nothing. Police do this because the criminal is fighting back. For all the cops know, he/she has a gun and is ready to shoot.

Just making a guess, but it appears that the guy on the ground in the second part of the video must have had some contraband in his mouth and the police were trying to get him to spit it out. That would explain the water hose.

look mang, if there was anything other than a police force stated in the original `equation,` wtf do we need to elaborate of the subject?

for drat sake x_X

No, but sometimes getting someone else`s credit is nice.

I don`t really see a whole lot of brutality here.

If this is "brutality," high school was pretty "brutal."

This happens in prisons on an almost daily basis- someone is unruly and they must follow restrictions in order to ensure the safety of everyone- if they break those restrictions (i.e. try to run away, or trip a cop) they WILL BE controlled. When your life potentially hangs in a fragile environment you cannot drat around.

Now the cops with the dog- that was ridiculous... this? It`s certainly not ideal, but I cannot say that it is out of line.

By American reputation, you mean innovative, motivated, patriotic, giving, scientific?

Or perhaps these police have been the source of more monatary and material donations to impoverished countries compared with any other country.

Oh wait... I know! Maybe these Australian cops are heads of some of the best colleges in the world?

No, maybe it`s all the majority of the best movie production in the world... ever.

What reputation are we talking about here?

Like the 7 Aussie cops tazering an unarmed guy in there own precinct, not to long ago, did realize it either.

Australia is turning into almost a dystopian state, so this is not surprising. Then again, RT is basically Fox News to serve Russian interest. Lack of background always makes me suspicious.
