Bullying has been around since the dawn of man. Unfortunate but true, if you are different you will get picked on. Everyone has been `picked on` for one thing or another. The numbers of violence from this has constantly gone down. It is just something for the media to put out in the lime-light until the next trend comes along.

Am I the only one to notice the weird way his face looks as he is talking. It almost looks like each time he pauses they`ve Photoshoped his face.

And watch as all those wrinkles appear as he talks.

Maybe it`s just the refresh rate on my machine, but his face is doing some weird things.

"There are people who care about you just the way you are".... He`s not one of them though.

    What is D-A-D-T except bullying?

Here`s his real message. "It will Not get better. When you grow up and serve your country you will live in fear of being discovered, just as you do now."

    That was rev 2.

Rev 1 started..."Listen up you weenies, grow a pair and get a thicker skin. At least you`re not fat!"

They went with Rev 2 without much discussion.

God dammit, Fancy. DADT is still getting undone. It`s just not being done by the courts, so that they can do it in a specific and guided manner, rather than just saying "mehfudgeit" and auto-disappearing the law.

I`m so tired of people who can`t bother themselves to read.

DJ--I think that being gay is different from most issues of a child`s feeling "like they don`t belong." Being fat, being poor, having acne, having limp hair, not being a cool kid-none of these issues are currently hotly denounced by a vocal and large segment of the population. It takes it to a whole other level in a child`s internal evaluation of self-worth.

    Trust me.

DrProfessor - DADT is NOT getting undone. The Congress did not repeal it and the Prez has gotten a stay from the courts so they don`t have to stop DADT.

If his goal really was for it to end, why does it matter who does it if the result is the same?

What gay people don`t understand, is that the way you don`t get picked on is....... to get back in the closet and stay there. Where all of your gay forefathers stayed unscathed for all those years.

    drating READ, god damn you.

"The administration argued that changing it abruptly "risks causing significant immediate harm to the military and its efforts to be prepared to implement an orderly repeal of the statute."
Toobinsaid the administration would like Congress to deal with the issue on a political level and doesn`t want the courts to take it on unilaterally.
A measure that would repeal the policy after a military review and approval from the president, defense secretary and Joint Chiefs chairman has passed the House and awaits action in the Senate.
By battling the legal challenge to the existing law -- a traditional practice of the U.S. government -- the administration is trying to buy time to implement the repeal process worked out with military leaders and contained in the legislation before Congress."

DrProfessor - stopping DADT overnight makes NO change whatsoever to logistics, housing, or job assignments. The ONLY differance is a gay soldier can talk about the date he had last night, just like his straight counterparts.

There is nothing to "prepare" for. The gays are already there.

What shake up will it cause? There isn`t going to be an gay or straight housing.... no gay or straight uniforms ... no, absolutely no change except they can stop wasting time and money kicking qualified people out.

I`m not even going to watch this. It might be good, if his actions currently weren`t going completely against the point of something like this.

Having the Head of State do something like this might sound like a good idea at first, but in all honesty having Obama do it, with what else he`s doing right now, is pretty much just under-mining the entire cause of this crusade to help people.

Overturning DADT isn`t going to work. Not bc there is a flaw in the idea of people being open about their sexuality in that environment but bc people are too narrow minded. I wonder if some people have this idea that once the military are open then the "gays" are gonna be sexin` it up in the showers or trying to molest their fellow soldiers. It won`t work bc people won`t allow it to work. That`d be like trying to force slave owners to bunk with slaves. I`m not saying that people for DADT are nearly as bad, just illustrating a point. It won`t work bc people don`t want it to.

I don`t like Obama, but I have no problem with this vid.

Regarding DADT, this is a perfect example of how a community organizer thinks you solve a problem: you stand out front on the sidewalk with a bullhorn and DEMAND a solution.

He said he would close GITMO before he had any idea how he was going to do it or where he was going to put the detainees. No problem, he simply DEMANDED that it be closed. And now, 22 months later, he`s waiting for someone else to get it done.

He also DEMANDED a stimulus package to keep unemployment under 8%, and a health care package that would provide better care to more people at a lower cost. How`s THAT working?

It`s the same with DADT. He promised his left-wing base he`d end it, and then he DEMANDED that others get it done. Now the courts are DEMANDING that HE get it done, and he still has no idea how to do it.

Obama`s learning all this the hard way, and we`re paying dearly for his education.

    He should have said:
It get`s better, unless you`re in the military and we find out you`re gay we`ll out you to the world and attempt to ruin your life... It get`s better up until the point you start thinking about marriage then all hell brakes loose. You either need to move to a state that accepts that crap or go to hell because my administration will fight you every step of the way. It gets better...

He didn`t challenge the overturning of DADT, he challenged the IMMEDIATE overturning of DADT. He just wants the military to have time to make the transition. Not that I agree with him, but you can`t say he`s against the end of DADT.
