Is there anything worse than a milk cap that throws up after the least amount of partying?

UHT is pasteurized at a higher temp. for longer so it doesn`t have to be refrigerated. They used to give us that stuff in the Navy. Milk that doesn`t spoil tastes about like you would think it does.

The best milk I had was fresh from the dairy behind the independent supermarket, pasteurized, non-homogenized, centrifuge-separated, and in a glass 1/2 gallon jug. The 2% tasted like homogenized whole milk and the whole milk like light cream. Mmmmmm....
To bad the owner`s kids weren`t interested in the family business and it was sold to a chain store that closed down the dairy...

Well, non UHT milk here in Brasil is sold on these platic bags that make the milk taste like plastic and totally gross. There are also some that come in plastic bottler, but the ones I`ve seen say they are homogenized. All other milks you find in supermarkets are UHT. I suppose you can only find other types of non UHT milk on farmer`s markets.

alexander, err it`s just heated to kill bacteria.
Not commenting on the taste though, I don`t mind it, but it`s a personal thing

Madest maybe its pictures from the future, that would explain the weird expiration date,

but why they would send back pictures of milk is beyond me

@madest: its long life milk, its reconstituted or homogenised or some poo like that, tastes like crap and has hardly anything good in it, most of us drink proper milk

"well someone had too much time on their hands"

This whole post probably took about 5 minutes to make. If you don`t have 5 minutes of free time you`re doing something wrong.

Ionno about the rest of Europe, but don`t bring Sweden in to this, madest. Here, regular milk has a 1 week expiration date. Granted, lactose-free milk has, like, a 1 month expiration date, but that`s cause it`s been very, very pasteurized, probably to help remove the lactose.

I wouldn`t put it past one of the continental countries to have done this, though.

But yeah, that date is 20th January 2011. And yes, this was awesome.

Milk in Brasil lasts a long time too. Maybe you`re just doing it wrong

Ok wait just a friggin minute. Does that milk expire in 2011 or am I reading that wrong. You Europeans and your dates... What is that January 20th 2011?!? Are you F-ing kidding me? My milk doesn`t last 2 weeks... WTF kind of mutant man-made milk are you hayseeds drinking across the pond?

On a related note I really like this post. Very simple, creative and fun.
