Sanity? His definition of? How can an extremist move to the middle and be believable? Isn`t he part of the "problem" that he talks about in the beginning? I am sorry, but I don`t see him as middle of the road or neutral.

I am glad for the success of his effort and the support he got.

But he isn`t the misunderstood person or the caring individual he portrays himself to be. Oh... unless you agree with him and then he is. Having a rally to rub Beck`s nose in it, and to frame the Tea Party as extremists and not mainstream is what this started as, was and is.

Congrats to Comedy Central for a great promotion and to the two Stars on making their shows more popular and profitable, very free market.

In the end he celebrates my home the United States of America. Thanks John and Steven.

America is already far right of the rest of the world. You`ll find the middle if you look to your left.

(Yes that`s basically a snide comment. However, if you`d like it demonstrated, it`s pretty easy).

So, All of you liberals predicting Stewart`s rally would be bigger than Beck`s. The verdict is in.

As you can see, It was a lot smaller.

Also, I don`t think it was very sane of Stewart to invite Yusef Islam, Aka Cat Stevens. If you don`t remember Yusuf Islam supports the fatwa against author Salman Rushdie that calls for Rushdie`s death.

Jon`s absolutely correct, as an outsider I think that American cable news (whether it is CNN, Fox or MSNBC) is absolutely retarded most of the time, playing off people`s fears in order to get them to become loyal viewers instead of being unbiased. I know that when you report the news there will always be some kind of bias, but it should never be this extreme, where each side absolutely hates the other. At the end of the day you are all Americans and you`re all in this together. Just my 2c

This is not only an american problem, allthough the US has pulled it to the extreme.

Used to be, the media had a role, as the "guard-dog" of society. An nasty, mouth foaming monster that scared any politician or power person away from having even the slightest thought of cooperating with other powers to exploit the people. Those times are gone.

The media today, is a pink died poodle with a diamond necklace, on prosac and rip-fuel - sitting in the gucci purse belonging to some botox-lobotomized Lady.

parkm: You may be unaware that many of the liberals here staked the claim that Stewart`s rally would as big if not bigger than Beck`s.

So the comparison is fair game, Since people like Madest invited it. As you can see, It`s already drawn his attention and doubting the result.

They`ll be doing the same this Tuesday and Wednesday. Normal people call this, `Sour Grapes`.

If I remember correctly, it was in response to conservatives` comparisons between the Beck rally and some other event.

Do you have a bigger version of that image CJ? I can`t really see the map at the bottom which makes an area comparison very difficult.

    *Cracks knuckles*

Crakr: Different angle, different point in the rally, the circled area is beyond even the photo on the left, and doesn`t encompass where you can clearly see people on the right. The one on the right is squeezed to fit the one on the left.

Only scientific estimate done of the beck rally: 87`000. (Despite Fox`s high end estimate of 1.6 million).

Identical methodology used for the Sanity rally: 215`000.

    Here`s some better example pictures:

    .

Keep in mind. The fox news estimates of up to 1.6 million. You want to see what half that looks like?

As somebody called "liberal" I never once thought about this rally being bigger than Glenn Beck`s, or even, really, in relation to it. He just laid it out there. It was about people coming together for positivity and optimism. It was about working together.

I`m sure lots of people there don`t want to work together with "conservatives." But that was Stewart`s message. He lays it out. We have to all work together. I don`t hate "conservatives" and I understand their arguments having identified myself as "Libertarian" for a number of years.

But we can meet in the middle. We can compromise and make it so everyone gets to have their own personal narrative as part of an enormous library of narratives.

There are 8 million stories in the naked city... None of them are the same, and there`s no reason why anybody should want them to be.

Crakr, and if you use a proper picture, you`ll notice it was bigger.

Not bigger than Fox`s fantasy figures, but easily trumping the only scientific measure of the event.

Your picture, and that on the left was the best picture they could find, doesn`t quite maintain the crowd as far as the circle. Yet the circle on the map is near the middle of the circled area.

Long story short. You`re losing this one Crakr. You did no research, you took the first picture you could find, assumed it was correct because it supported your position taking none of the flaws into consideration.

Baal, I see you are using very carefully cropped pictures there for Stewart`s Rally, and then try to compare that to Obama`s inaugural.

Obama`s inaugural crowd went well past the Washington monument and almost all the way to the Lincoln memorial (Nearly the whole mall), So your comparison is not only deceptive but not even in the same zipcode.

Obama`s inauguration was 800K according to the lowest estimate (and the lowest estimate was provided by the same people who you claim got it wrong on the 87K figure with a "liberal bias").

I put the picture in to demonstrate that the Obama inauguration blows the ever living drat out of Beck`s rally which supposedly pulled in at fox`s most conservative estimates 300K.

Even in your biased map, even with the oversized circle, it is not possible to dream up a 1/3rd figure with an empty reflective pool.

800K. And Glen Beck`s was ... which bullpoo estimate would you like? 1.6M is clearly a joke. Second lowest? 600K? Still a joke. 300K, nearing possible, but it doesn`t look like it.

Fine, they`re cropped pics, are you suggesting you can crop a pic to make it look like more people?

Then we have to turn to the science. As always, and forever, you choose the methodology, and we`ll go along with that.

I never included the Obama inauguration to suggest it was the Sanity rally. That would make no sense.

I stated the picture was half 1.6 million, and I stated the sanity rally was 215K. Just because you got confused doesn`t mean confusing you was my intent.

Baal, `The Circle` is the WW2 memorial with a large pool in the middle, It`s also sunken into the landscape. People at Beck`s rally didn`t occupy the circle out respect and the fact that they couldn`t see the monitors from that area. Beck`s crowd did persist well past the circle though, Across 17th st.

In contrast, Stewart`s Rally didn`t make it past 7th street.

The rally`s were held at opposite ends. Becks rally had the reflecting pool taking up a majority of people space. Sanity rally had no such unused space. I have a video posting to youtube now that shows the crowd from my perspective. It`s a sea of people in every direction. Got as close as I could and I wasn`t close at all. I was there for the whole thing and it was fun. Ozzie Osbourne, Cat Stevens, Cheyrl Crow and Kid Rock. Beck wasted people time with gospel songs mixed with evangelizing. Stewart`s had a message with entertainment that was actually entertaining.

There were more sane people at the Sanity Rally.

Well if you want to continue with the non sequitur.

I never said people should have been IN the memorial. I`m suggesting the crowd, in the best photo available (put up specifically to claim there were as many people there as possible, remember cropped photos? I remember someone complaining very recently... oh yes, you, about 2 or 3 posts ago) was petering out at the memorial, and yet the "area they occupied" in the big white circle underneath the photo, goes almost 1/3rd of the length again.

The only picture of THAT length has much greater spacing.

Therefore, that approximation, is clearly false.

Also if by discredited you mean the right cried about it without backing any of their statements up, you`re right. Otherwise, you`ll find you`re not.

Why is there a debate about whose rally is bigger? What next... penis size? There were 3 different rallies total... and all three had different messages and purpose. Why compare? May as well compare religions too, while you`re at it.

I liked both Becks` and Stewarts`/Colberts` rallies both for totally different reasons. I have literally not a bad thing to say about either.

Didn`t you see Splurby? I *cracked my knuckles*...
Also, because I don`t like when people start bullpooting about their "gut" and opinion, on a topic about drating counting.

Especially when a certain right wing pundit is exaggerative by over 400 to 1800%. On something you can do by counting. Something that was done by counting, and something that came up short.

Also there`s no point in debating penis size.
I don`t want to see 100 pictures of people trying to take pictures of their penis with a fisheye-lens, a zoom, and an obvious 3" model of the Eiffel tower.

Baal, The mall is much wider toward the Lincoln memorial and there are 4 rows of trees, Under which many people sheltered themselves from the hot august sun at Beck`s rally. NBC and The Park Service estimated Beck`s crowd at over 300,000, Not just Fox. CBS low balled their 87,000 number and were roundly criticized for it at the time.

I`m not concerned with the amount of ppl that were there. My concern is the reason, which was good, but it turned out that the reason people where there was not that and was a bad one. Yes it was a Stewart/Colbert rally, but I felt that conservatives would be welcome and everyone could express their hate for the gov`t as a whole. Instead, it just seems like a ton of liberal college kids saw it as an opportunity to bash conservatives and the tea party. Anti-Beck, "get over it he`s black" where popular signs among others that bashed the tea party. If you hate Beck, thats fine, thats your opinion. However, the point of this rally was imo supposed to be showing the gov`t how much its gone downhill. Instead the left just showed up to bash the right. We need to get over this, if you are still favorable to Obama, your a moron, plain and simple, same goes for Bush. Our gov`t has been in decline for years and we need to unite behind a common person (Ron Paul imo)not bash each

Wow we`re in to the repeats already.

If you read the methodology you`ll find they highballed their estimate. The two estimates they got were 80K and 87K both +- 9K.

You can see the point could, you can see that the balloon can see under the trees, and you can count them yourself if you really want.

Most importantly, you`ll notice the much bigger gaps in the beck rally than the Sanity rally.

"the point of this rally was imo supposed to be showing the gov`t how much its gone downhill"

That was not the point of this rally at all. The point was to condemn all the extremist nutjobs across the political spectrum who are irrationally screaming their political opinions at the top of their lungs, making up outrageous lies, spreading nothing but fear and hate and in general holding the country back from making any progress.

If it seemed like a right-wing bashing rally, that`s probably because the vast majority of that fear and hate is coming from the right.

Oh, I completely agree with you. I have never laughed at anything Colbert/Stewart has said or done. I feel like since many people watch their show and laugh at them, they find themselves amusing and try to show off. I love how people talk about how bad Fox News is and then never talk about how sad it is that many look to Colbert/Stewart for their opinions and "news" shows. Fox is biased (along with everyone else), but if you are getting your information from something that is on Comedy Central...looks like you need to be paying attention in your college classes more and stop skipping them for parties and pot smoking sessions. (I have no problem with either actions. I actually think pot should be legal, but thats another discussion. My point is that your stupid if you get your information from that source)

    Meh, 2 reasons.

    1) It`s numbers. It`s not guessing and feeling and areas. It`s counting. I cannot abide by counting flaws. Those are lies.

Trying to find workarounds (it can`t be 87K! There were at least 200K more train rides than the same time last year! Plus it was hot, I dunno how that affects the figures but it must be in my favour!) means you can`t do it on the merits of the case.

(P.S. More train rides this time too, by more than the other rally. Just saying.)

Or the other ridiculous one of how many hotels rooms were booked when you can just count the people. (Again though, more now, less then).

Or even further extrapolations. (It`s the area! Including the pool! Humans are 90% water, so that water is like 90% people... and they are at the rally!).

There`s a simple honest solution. It`s available, and going to waste because it disagrees with them.

    2) We talked about this last time with another comparison between Beck`s organized event, and an event thrown together the week before.

IAB felt it was important to put up a comparison of the two to demonstrate... something. I said it didn`t matter then, and it doesn`t matter now, but I did say I would wait and see for a comparable rally for a comparable comparison.

    And this is it.

    And Beck lost.

Baa... stated that the US is left of the rest of the world, if I read correctly?

When did we, the US want to be like the rest of you? No disrespect, but most of us left the rest of you because we want different. Or did I miss something?

I am glad my forefathers left Europe and gave me and my family the chance to live in the USA. Thanks to them for their vision and intelligence.

Which country receives the most immigrants each and every year? Anyone want to guess?

So... Welcome to the best (not perfect) country on earth for those of us that want a better life.

Baal, Even with the evidence of your own eyes you deny the obvious fact that Beck`s Rally was bigger.
Sorry, But that`s really sad man. Solomon Asch did experiments on that subject. Source
You are quite correct, CJ. Comparisons by eye can be quite difficult.
Which is why we use scientific methodologies to get accurate results, instead of guessing. Scientific methodologies like one which produced the 87,000 (+- 9,000) count, as linked below by Baal. The same methodology which later produced the 215,000 estimate.

Why would you bring up a source which only undermines your argument?

Becks Restoring Honor (because we`re such dishonorable people) drew 89,000 people. About the same amount of people who go to a Washington Redskin game on a weekly basis. I know this as fact because CBS paid a company that does crowd counting to count the crowd. It`s their business and if they want to remain in business they need to deliver.

Wow, I have to say I am very dissapointed at the subject matter of this thread. Almost every single post is about the damn head count of a rally, which is a moot point in the grand scheme of things. I thought this post was going to be pretty cool with the comments considering the subject matter of the rally itself, which was pretty entertaining and enlightening, actually. Instead the whole thread has been hi-jacked by 4-5 people. Lame...

I`m willing to accept The Park Services estimates for both rallies, Instead you and Baal both insist on the lowest number estimated for Beck and the highest estimated for Stewart, Which shows your bias.

This discussion proves exactly why Stewart had this rally. As I said previously he wanted to stick it to Glenn Beck and the Tea Party.

So all of "Come to Jesus" speech about getting along and working together goes right out the window. Why would the other side want to work with him after that?

Beck called his "Restoring Honor"..as I remember, and this one was "Restoring Sanity". Coincidence? I think not.

Stewart and many on both sides of the political persuasion always want cooperation when it suits their position or side. Other wise all is fair.

Who cares which had more which had less. Who is right or who is more right? Who has the moral compass and who doesn`t? Who perceives themselves as more intelligent than the others and who doesn`t? This is all politics and is made to influence your choices.

Were you influenced? By his rally?

No, no, you`re quite right. Christian doctrine doesn`t believe that gay people should be put to death, it was churlish of me to suggest so. Homosexuality is simply a perversion, a disease, or as you have called it, an "addiction", which one can be cured of with proper Christian teachings. If gay people go to hell, then that`s their own fault. They`ve been warned, right?

The point of the rally was to make a social commentary on how extremist the media is becomming, and at the same time put on a show. It was held by comedians, not politicians...I think a lot of people here (or maybe just a few loud mouthed individuals) just fail to understand the concept.

Anyways I`m not going to get broiled into the stupidity, and instead am going to embrace the theme of the rally, which is rationality and cooperation.

    On Yusuf Islam:

I had nothing to do with the issue other than what the media created. I was innocently drawn into the whole controversy. So, after many years, I`m glad at least now that I have been given the opportunity to explain to the public and fans my side of the story in my own words. At a lecture, back in 1989, I was asked a question about blasphemy according to Islamic Law, I simply repeated the legal view according to my limited knowledge of the Scriptural texts, based directly on historical commentaries of the Qur`an. The next day the newspaper headlines read, "Cat Says, Kill Rushdie." I was abhorred , but what could I do? I was a new Muslim. If you ask a Bible student to quote the legal punishment of a person who commits blasphemy in the Bible, he would be dishonest if he didn`t mention Leviticus 24:16

I realize I`m new here, but I felt that after reading EVERY SINGLE COMMENT, I must throw in my 2 cents.

I`d like to say the crowd size thing is hilarious and I encourage you to put as much time and effort into whatever your precious little heart desires.

I`d also like to say that even if he is a comedian pundit without a place on a "serious" news network, you can`t deny that his words (at least in this video) did not encourage hate or otherwise belittle anyone. Sure, he mentioned certain people and groups, but he explicitly said they were not as extreme as many label them. I say it is ridiculous to discredit a man based on his TV show ranking (where`s YOUR show?) and sense of humor. Most of the rally may have been solely of entertainment value, and I honestly don`t know since this is all I saw of it, but he brought a large amount of people together and ended it on a note of reality, unity, and good feelings.

Thanks for reading. Time for a sandwich.

I love how the whole point of the rally was to "restore sanity", basically saying that politics gets the best of people, and Glenn Beck is nuts. So what happens? Everybody that attends the rally has a whose dick is bigger contest regarding the size of the rally. If you know nothing of the area, you probably shouldn`t be pretending to be an expert. Further more, anyone quoting the 87,000 for Becks rally is a complete and utter douchebag. That estimate was obviously low. The parks unofficial estimate for Becks rally was about 325,000, and for Stewarts about 215,000. From the pictures it looks like they were both closer in size. But really, who gives a sh*t? Does the size of either rally make a difference as to what`s going to happen on tuesday? No.
    Thanks, and go f*ck yourselves.

You missed "in the Bible" crakr, and your answer would be the opposite.

Oh, but you think an adequate response would be that he should say "the legality in this country is X"?

    Yusuf:
At the end of the debate he asked me to imagine if Salman Rushdie was taken to court in Britain and the Jury found him ‘not guilty’ of any crime – Blasphemy or otherwise – and dismissed the case, what I would do. I clearly stated that I would have to accept the decision and fully abide by the law.

However, in both cases, (Biblical and Quranic), I wouldn`t disagree with him bringing it up. (Which he did). I would disagree with his interpretation of application. (Unless of course further explanation was cut from the piece).

I could have sworn that this entire rally`s point had no political agenda whatsoever and that it was just bashing the blaring panic alarms that most of the media ALWAYS plays. The media just yells a lot and gives out huge scary/controversial/etc stories because it draws in the ratings.

It`s nice to see the sane, rational side of American people rather than the minority of extremist people we always hear about.

Every group has it`s extremists or nutters and sadly it`s usually those people`s words and actions that get presented the most.

The reason CJ can`t stay on the same page as you guys is he lacks the sanity to do so. He always stays on a certain subject until he`s made his position clear or present the `facts` no matter how ridiculous either and/or both may seem and then quietly exits and acts like, "omg u guys are still talking about this?"

I don`t know why you guys argue with him or 5cats, both of them are equally ridiculous, you might as well be presenting the information you`re going to to the drywall next to you.

The thing about the Sanity rally is Stewart didn`t use it to propel any political agenda. He didn`t trot out any candidates from any party. He didn`t waste our time telling us about his religious beliefs. He didn`t lament about the good old days or the need to "reclaim" the civil rights movement... Beck is a boorish know-it-all who represents American stupid. For him to think he represents the majority of Americans is an insult to sanity.

You think facts and evidence are going to convince these people who still think evolution and man made climate change are myths? Good luck! It seems that even if you had 150 years worth of collected evidence that they`d still find sources of made up and long ago debunked "facts". They seem to believe that reality conforms to their wish fulfillment. Stewart`s rally drawing a bigger crowd does not exist in their head, thus it cannot exist in reality.

Ah, there goes @Baalth! Changing the subject AGAIN!
I posted that specifically to PROVE that the CBS estimate that @madest is sooo fond of, was a LIE! A lie which `newsreaders` have repeated in a desperate attempt to discredit Beck, Palin and the right in general.

@almightbob1 I vote: E) 5Cats speaks the truth, and the libtards actually listen to what he actually says!
Y`all are comparing apples and pumpkins eh? I make NO claims about the size of Stewart`s crowd, ok? I simply prove that CBS is lieing.

theBSR, I was just about to post that.

The entire rally is about how the media and political agendas (often one and the same) magnify or create issues that only further polarize people.

Then you get people arguing about whether his rally is bigger or another rally is bigger.

Talk about missing the entire point of the rally.
    Like:
Who cares about the size of the rally, what does it solve? How does it help us continue? It only perpetuates the political hate machine.

Signing in every once in a while to continue to tell you that you people are disgusting examples of human bile for discussing something so vain and unimportant.

What`s ridiculous is how FEW of you even watched any part of the rally. Stewart made jabs at PEOPLE LIKE YOU! YES YOU! for judging a rally by its size alone, for judging it because of a speaker`s employment in satire and comedy. And he kept it very anti-partisan in its message.

I can`t believe you`re perpetuating this shameful excuse of a "conversation", madest. Ever occur to you that a mod shouldn`t feed the trolls?

Crakr, I don`t feel represented by the obama administration or anyone in congress. A lot of us real "liberals" that got these people their political positions don`t. Watch "liberal" john stewart and you`ll see a plethora of complaints against democrats. they took a few good ideas and totally screwed them up in every single way by giving vast concessions to republicans who ended up being a party of no regardless. that doesn`t mean i should have any more faith in right wing republicans or extreme right wing tea partiers. the democrats, like every politician, lied about how they were going to act and who they were going to represent; but I fundamentally disagree with everything, on just about every level, the right wing represents and believes. I`m not voting for republicans, teabaggers, or democrats next time around. regardless, I`m in the most liberal, most educated, most prosperous city in texas so not much is changing from this election in either my city or state.

    5Cats, see health care bill.

Why? Well Lieberman is pretty much not democrat so it`s more like 59. And every single piece of progressive legislation (you know, the stuff that those of us who voted in the 59 democrats would like to see) is opposed by filibuster by the republicans, even though they`re in the minority. Pretty much the only things that have passed are bills continuing the war effort indefinitely and expanding copyright and surveillance. You know, the bipartisan stuff that all crooks agree on.

Kougaiji: There were no filibusters, Republicans didn`t have enough senators to do so. The Democrats were fighting with representatives within their own party. Not even one Republican amendment made it into the Obamacare bill, Not one.

Furthermore, republicans have tripled the yearly filibuster record since the democrats have been in control of congress.

Kougaiji: You forgot to mention that the so called `compromise` bill, Between the House and Senate, was dumped and the House version was rammed through on a procedural vote. That effectively annulled the senate Republican amendments. The bill that was passed was the completely the House version. Nice Try there Kougaiji, But I watch C-Span.

And once again, With only 39 Senate Republicans, There were no filibusters.

Serious question here: Something that has bugged me over the years is how much politics have stressed me out in the past. I used to really pay attention, debate, try to find proof and get all riled up, just like all of you guys are doing (Baal, Crackr, Madest, etc.)

I slowly realized it made me a much angrier and stressed out person. And then finally I realized it was not making my life better or easier. In fact it was making it a little worse.

So to the question: Do any of you feel the same?

Another Q: What is all this mindless debating accomplishing for you?

I am sincerely curious as to your opinions.

Wow your ignorance is astounding. The last true filibuster was 13years ago. Now all they do is threaten. Sheesh, how can you claim to know politics if you don`t even know the most simple of procedural maneuvers?
And from your earlier statement lamenting the number of GOP Senators proves you don`t even know what a filibuster is for.

I feel the same way as you do. I`m a registered Independent but more often than not when I`m reading through here I feel leaning more to the left than in the middle.

Mostly its because of the righties that are commenting here are those close minded drat tards that believe any of the poo shoveling faux news throws at them instead of actually researching the facts.

I gave up quite a bit ago on arguing and just choose to flame whomever shoves their foot in their mouth, it usually ends up being CJ(`Muslims are terroists`) or 5cats. I`m not sure why they all continuing `debating` with the brick wall.

I used to do that a lot more often. Most of my political talks now are about concepts, speaking of strengths of ideologies and political and economic theory; in addition to what would consist an ideal society that we could make for ourselves, even if on a small scale within a larger society like the US.

I stopped really getting riled up around `05-`06, but obviously not entirely as I just partly partook in this. That being said, I`ve seen more and more sheer ignorance to reality all around me. Maybe it`s just the media`s portrayal of the public. "Democrats" piss me off just as much as "Republicans" because their viewpoints are almost always entirely defined by the stance of their choice of mass media. It has become absolutely impossible to reach across the aisle on anything. People throw "socialist" and "progressive" around like they`re the same thing, as if they understand either. Like McCarthyism, speaking out sti

The rally did not have a liberal/democrat message, but mass media painted it in such a way that it did. But it addressed everything that bothered me. Everyone`s yelling pundit talking points at each other without realizing the lack of consistency between them. No one considers that the wellbeing of ones community may actually be beneficial to one`s own wellbeing.

Something as simple as recycling shouldn`t be controversial. Global warming or no, throwing a bunch of pollutants in the air is causing disease and killing living things and destroying the ozone. Lives are lives and murder is murder, and people seem to no longer value life. People who don`t understand the realities and repercussions of prison continue to seal up a vast amount of their neighbors because of laughable reasons. Everyone`s an "expert" on tv; no intelligent, investigative reports are ever done on things that may affect society or challenge convention. The rally was a refreshing show of humanity i

Thanks for the response Seph and Kou. I like the "show of humanity" phrase, that really put`s it all into better terms.

People are frustrated out there, myself included. There are way too many media juggernauts out there that have way too much power. Not only intrinsic power, but power over the thought process of every viewer in some way. This is due partly to each citizens close emmotional ties with their own way of life and how the Government affects that. (And rightly so)

I really wish we could all sort of calm the hell down and rethink all this nonsense. It all seems to be coming from all sides and tends to spiral out of control. It gives me anxiety if I make myself try to wrap my head around all the arguments.

The Founding Fathers locked themselves in a room until they all agreed. I know it was a little easier back then because the scope was not as huge. Too bad we cannot do that now.

Oh davymid? YOU know of a single case of compromise in which Obama, Reid or Pelosi did ANYTHING to appease the Reps? Do tell, or you`re the one looking `sad` eh?
Remember, just last week Obama himself said the Reps haven`t supported him or his policies. Could it be because there is ZERO compromise in them? NAH!

@Kougaiji - the Health Care Bill? You are delusional! The Reps made 6 amendments, ALL rejected outright. One, ONE, part of the bill was put in by the Republicans on the board, but it was removed before it even went to the house.
Zero input, zero compromise, behind-closed-doors, back room deals, and best of all: NO ONE COULD READ THE BILL until AFTER it was passed.
    Do try again, eh?

Dead Ghod @madest, you have no brainz at ALL?
The Reps can "threaten" to filibuster till the cows come home, but THEY CANNOT DO IT because they don`t have the votes unless some democrats cross the floor!
And YOU lecture others about knowing the subject? And FAIL so spectacularly on such a simple concept? Wow, madest, that is just so... liberal of you!

But in a few hours the house and senate will be changed for the better! LOLZ!
