Just to go off on tangent here. LSDfuneral you`re an ass. Rugby isn`t played like that. Also bar fights are a normal part of life? Your sense of honour is questionable also, you don`t "pick" on people, weaker or stronger. You sound like a bully who needs help.

"Beyond the internet people have lives that ARE valuable. So stop freaking out about his greasepaint and get your head out of your own non-nice individuals. You`re not the only person on the planet."

Exactly. I sometimes think some of the people on IAB care more about their video game character or car than real people.

"i think this would be a phase that passes if he didn`t get so much crap about it. having to fight through it made him defend it and cling to it, making it so much worse"

I hope your ignorance is a phase.

an awesome message from an outstanding individual. if i ever see Sister Unity in the flesh (probably easy to spot), (s)he gets at least a high 5 full of win.
my 2 cents: trolls are trolls here or in fleshspace. i feel troubled that some feel so berated and alone that death seems the only answer. it is up to the different, the strange and pariah to undo the damage done by the loud and ignorant. these are sad and dark days where love itself is hated.

Yeah no one messed with him because anyone dressed like the spawn of the flying nun and Tony the Tiger in the city most likely has problems, a knife, and a tendency to stab things.

the music was annoying though, but a really cool message, i wasn`t bullied but i remember the torment kids used to give to other kids, this kind of thing i would imagine is encouraging.

Her fake eyelashes remind me of a catfish.

@vitaminjunky, exactly. It makes me happy that for once there is someone that is outwardly themselves that is not only not afraid to go out dressed how they want to dress and be who they are, but also is willing to help people that feel hopeless that may be in the same situation she went through. I applaud Sister Unity for taking at the very least a small step in the right direction.

A good message well intended and well stated, albeit from an unusual messenger. Actually might be more meaningful because of it.

Am I missing something here? Why are people leaving all these negative comments? I got bullied in high school for being poor and for being a metal head and a punk rocker. Unfotunately (or fortunately?) bullying and fighting are a part of life that happens to us all; but not everyone is a fighter so the stress becomes to much for some. I personally thrived on fighting in high school (nothing like the white-trash punk rocker kicking the crap out of rich kids) and 9 years later, I still do. I enjoy putting people on a stretcher when I play rugby or laying them out when I get into a bar fight. BUT, I do not pick on those who I perceive to be weaker than me. There`s no honor in winning a fight that way and it`s a cowards way of going through life. If you live your life fighting only the easy battles, you haven`t really lived. But whatever; arguing on the internet is like arguing with a retarded brick wall...

I`m guessing no one gives a crap about all the people that end their lives because they feel that no one gives a poo about it.

Of course not. This is the internet. You`re all just a bunch of strong, self-absorbed non-nice individuals who wouldn`t think twice about your brother or your sister or your best friend jumping off a bridge because the world doesn`t care.

Beyond the internet people have lives that ARE valuable. So stop freaking out about his greasepaint and get your head out of your own non-nice individuals. You`re not the only person on the planet.

Why is everyone being so mean? She`s just trying to help kids that are feeling helpless. No one deserves to feel like they should kill themselves, no matter how "weird" they are. Everyone has a place in this world, and that`s all she`s trying to say. You guys are non-nice individuals.

AND MAKE IT THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL!
I know I`d rather hide myself and not get hurt. People should not be hurt or disrespected for how they dress or feel, but we all know that it happens.

No, the guy that makes fun of a gay guy id not always gay. No, karma does not always bite a person in the butt. No, you don`t always end up on top. No, just because you wear it doesn`t mean "it`s just me". But, NO being hurt for being different is not ok.
My only question is: Is dressing like freak "who you really are"? This is an honest question asked by a girl who not only wore neon orange raver pants to school, but I did wear a Catholic School Girl outfit to school too.
I realized later that some of the things I wore alienated myself.
A RESPECTFUL QUESTION: Are there some things that can be toned down to get through high school? Please realize that I am asking this respectfully. Is it easier to tone it down and live through it, or (in the case of the speaker) wear a crazy outfit and be beaten horribly? I know this may sound mean, but what I hope is that someone can hold it in (like a fart-it hurts and takes all of your strength!-) and MAKE IT THRO

Well Sister Unity has the balls to show courage in getting over the tough things in life. Maybe those whiny little gay teens pissing and moaning over how life is and trying suicide can learn from this person.Life`s full of tough embarrassing problems. Just get over it you`ll survive. Bravo for the courage Sista. Tell the world to go f**k itself.

I`m 35 years old, and all I can say about picking on gay kids in high school is that the guy at my high school who always made fun of the gay theater kids for being gay is the one who turned out to be gay himself and was in gay denial during high school. Came out when he was in his 20`s. So, the only guys who are threatened by gays are the ones in the closet themselves. In fact, during high school he was friends with all the hottest girls, and I realize now that it was because he never tried to get them in bed.

"not the best messanger"

We can be sure that no one complaining is a better messenger.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have raised millions of dollars for hospice, AIDS education and research, and unlike most fundraisers, 100% of what the Sisters make, goes out to the causes.

Those of you ragging on this are bullies who feel threatened by his message, he made you feel guilty, and like typical bullies, you lashed out.

"Highschool is cruel even if you look normal, so yeah, dressing like that in highschool is kind of asking for it."

Where the hell did you get the idea that he went to high school dressed like that?

The fact is that kids get bullied no matter how hard they try to fit in.

Your argument is one bullies use to excuse their abuse.

@CrakrJak well, madest is right. Highschool is cruel even if you look normal, so yeah, dressing like that in highschool is kind of asking for it. Not that I would`ve ridiculed him (before you jump to conclusions), but you know that there`s always kids who would.

I love Sister Unity! :D I really do. I think Nidonemo actually posted the Sister Crap video a while back that prompted me to look at his channel :P I`m not sure, but I found out about it on I-A-B. I really like the message his videos have.
For anyone that doesn`t know, Sister Unity is a part of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. You can read about them here to find out their causes and why exactly they dress up so strangely.

madest: How very un-liberal and non-tolerant you are.

As conservative as I am, I would not have harassed a person like this in high school. But I do agree with gerry, Good message, But it`s hard to take him/her seriously dressed like that.

I`m all for what he`s trying to do as part of the "gay response" to the recent rash of suicides. I`m all for tolerance, and individual liberty and leaving people the hell alone.

That being said, I don`t know if I could resist the urge to pluck those crazy eyelash things, I would apologize profusely, but they were super creepy. They look like they bother him too as often as he blinks.

Every time he moved and his outfit creaked it reminded my of my "goth" days in high school. How I miss my shiny patent leather pants...

Man I`m glad I`ve grown out of that sh*t.

Agreed. I wouldn`t wanna be his best friend, but I wouldn`t go out of my way to avoid him.

That said... I think the only reason he doesn`t catch a LOT more hell, is BECAUSE he`s so extreme.

It`s like, people probably see him on the street and think "WTF? No way, that`s NOT normal... He`s gotta be doing it for a movie or something..."

I think "It gets better" is one of the best things!! Because it does get better. People in small towns, high schools, these places and the closed minded people that frequent them are hard on kids who are different. But Sister Unity is right the world is soooo big and there is a place in it for everyone. Very sweet!
