The City Of Stonnington may be over Ed Hardy, however they would perhaps have spent their time and money in getting a computer with a spell check in it so that they don`t screw up their own city name again.

Stonignton indeed.

I just did a google search for Ed Hardy`s stuff ... Holy F*CK ... $85 for a F*cking t-shirt?

Hell, if I`m going to wear something with YOUR brand name slapped all over it, you should be paying me an advertising fee.

Wow - are they allowed to do that? In that case can our town ban teeny tops on pregnant teenagers? (shudder)

The funny thing is Ed Hardy absolutely epitomizes the style and character of those who frequent Chapel Street! Its the one place on earth Ed Hardy could run a viable business for decades to come.

stonnington is a suburb in melbourne australia, chapel street area being one of the three biggest high street shopping districts in the city. one end is up market, the other is second-hand stores, comic shops, pawnbrokers and other nifty and kitschy shops.
i`m thinking that the sign isn`t a real "cease and desist" from the city council but instead a private protest by a person (or persons) who don`t like ed hardy crap (`cause let`s face it, sailor jerry would kick his ass).

Well I quite like some Ed Hardy stuff. I would never spend such a ridiculous amount of money on it though. I think people generally dislike Ed Hardy clothing because of the type of people that normally wear it.

Sailor Jerry stuff is cooler. No bedazzling involved.

Well hell, I didn`t know there was a specific shop I could go to in order to look that tacky...

Just to be clear (though certainly not perfectly)

All of this Ed Hardy merchandise we see is actually created and sold by Christian Audigier who licensed the rights to the brand. Ed Hardy, the person, was an established tattoo artist who studied under Sailor Jerry Collins, one of the main founders and contributors to the "Sailor" style tattoo genres. Ed Hardy no longer tattoos.

I have ed hardy posters...but only because they look kinda cool. Though, I`ve considered taking them down because I don`t want to be labeled a `douchette`.
