Even if these crafts are real, there is no evidence to suggest that they`re of "extraterrestrial" origins.

There are bound to be aliens out there somewhere, but you seriously have to question the testament of anyone who describes anything as a "pregnant cigar" has to be called into question. Also, couldn`t this flying objects near to military bases have been military aircraft?

Anyway if this was seriously real a cool black guy and an uptight white guy in sunglasses would have flashed a little red light and none of us would remember any of what we just witnessed.

I like that he assumes the "Aliens" are sending a signal that we should get rid of our nuclear weapons. How does he know that? Perhaps they are keeping tabs on our ability to make war against them? Or perhaps they are studying those sites for reasons we aren`t able to comprehend? Perhaps for reasons that have NOTHING to do with nuclear weapons, maybe they are studying military architecture?

Poohole really? We have hundreds upon millions of gallons of water, hundreds of millions of pounds of various energy resources, vast areas of vegetation and animal life...the last time I checked we are quite unique in our neck of the woods...so for and alien on the outside looking in they might just see paradise...

I remember a while back this radio station interviewed an ex-astronaut, and he bluntly revealed live on-air that the government had made contact with aliens. Not just hinting at it, but outright stated that aliens were visiting our planet and the government knew about it.

He could have been just fooling around, but I`m surprised that didn`t get much attention.

people who look at aliens as our "saviors", the ones that will teach us to be civilized and `save us from ourselves` are just swapping from one religion to another.

If the stories they visit us are true.... then the stories they abduct us and experiment on us without consent are also true..... I`ll pass, thanks.

Are YOU kidding ME? A fried of mine from Guatemala, who was here LEGALLY by the way, almost got deported due to a government paperwork error- despite the fact that he came here after several siblings and family friends were murdered by the government due to his father`s political dissidence.
i wonder, if humans could travel to other plants and they find beings like us, what would the government do? nuke em?
Which government?

I think the realisation that we are not the only intelligent species would be the final catalyst that unites every country and truly globalises humanity. Even if it`s only through hate and fear, we would finally have a Them that isn`t also Us.

Post-contact, instead of being American or German or Scottish or Chinese, we will say "I`m from Earth". That`s a huge step towards dissolving the petty differences we make for ourselves and the fights we pick with each other.

And for all of those who are scared of the aliens, I think it`s highly unlikely that an advanced culture from another world would come here solely to destroy us. I would think they are here to study us, because it`s only a matter of time before humanity can travel between stars. Actually, you should pray they are real, because if humanity is alone in the universe, our chances of survival are slim.

One would wonder: if the human race found life on another planet what would we do? Barring the fact that we don`t(that we know of) have silent space ships, let alone space ships that can travel far or fast enough to do it as regualarly as UFO`s supposedly do; would we really try to hide from that race? This doesn`t mean they didn`t already show themselves to government agencies and are hidden from the public though. Then you might think the extra terrestrials would have government planned routes to keep them away from public eye when coming and going, so how do people see UFO`s? Well, pilots are supposed to follow noise abatement procedures at airports that have them, but I sometimes forget to look for one before I fly into a new airport, so perhaps these UFO`s are just careless pilots.

On the other hand the aliens may have just made a TV show out of us and just monitor nuclear facilities so they`re favorite show doesn`t get cancelled.

LblaxPlaya - I only choose to open my mind to what I have found science says is possible. Is it possible that one-off creatures, vastly different from anything else on the planet, exist? Yes. Do I believe in the loch ness monster or bigfoot? No. Why? Because a single member of a species will die. Immortality is only granted to simple life forms like the Hydra and that one jellyfish.

Also, I know I shouldn`t feed the trolls, but at the same time, I don`t mind doing it.

And... Although I appreciate the brevity and humour you showed, I think I argued my point well enough to be taken more seriously than that, and your joke was too easy. You plucked the low-hanging comedic fruit, sir. Shame.

I suggest reading ManyMasks posts below, full of interesting ideas. Just ideas though. But there isn`t much else in the field of discussing alien life, just ideas and theories. I would like to reiterate that i believe our planets abundance of water is an attraction. I believe it is a fuel source for their crafts. This would explain fields being dehydrated and many sightings near water.

And to close, I point anyone looking for more information on alien sightings, with some proof, (although since I have not paid the 40 or so dollars to see the content I can not tell you if the proof is conclusive or if it appears genuine, only that there is some reported proof and it comes from people who are not obviously mentally compromised) to check out The Disclosure Project. I think these three minutes are part of TDP`s 2 hour long series of testimonies from radar operators to munitions guards to high ranking military officials to amateur astronomers.

I present all this without knowing anything. My aim in writing these was to show that we can`t conclusively say that we are not being watched. Visited, if you will.

(Final Note: I`m 18 years old, and I do not have a degree in anything. I have a conceptual knowledge of most of the things I discussed, save for alien psychology. But then again, who does?)

actually, they come here because water is their fuel source. But as to whether they are hostile or not, who cares? if they are hostile, wtf are we gonna do about it? If they aren`t hostile, then cool, i guess we all get to have lots of fun learning from/with them huh.

Now, on the topic of aliens taking an interest in our nuclear habits and stockpiling. It would be a big topic of interest for anyone studying our species. Imagine: you find a planet of aliens, and different groups of aliens independently amass enough munitions to take out the whole planet. You`ve had fun watching these aliens grow up, so you discreetly save them from themselves, while keeping your distance as best as you can. Don`t want to scare them into nuking themselves to pieces over a perceived threat now.

In fact, given that the universe is larger than any measurement that we can really get a feel for, even conceptually, and that the more we learn about other star-systems the more we find out that planets are more common than previously thought, and planets in the hospitable-to-life (as we know it) range of temperatures, gravity, atmospheric density, and water content are more common than we thought (we found a planet in the so-called "Goldilocks Zone" within the first 200 exoplanets we`ve studied), it is safe to say that IF warp drives are possible to build, then we are being visited. Because any species with a warp drive can mechanize a robot to take measurements near every planet and report back to the home planet with news of any signs of life. The whole process of finding Earth amidst the cosmos may only have taken a few decades for our local alien neighbors.

So, assuming that SOMEWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE intelligent life exists, and that they decide to build an alcubierre drive, and as there`s no limit to how fast you can go from an observer`s perspective, they decide to planet, star-system, galaxy, cluster, and super-cluster hop. They don`t even need a "our planet is depleted of resources" excuse. Assume they have no motive for exploration beyond learning. Then, in the course of their travels, they find intelligent life on "Earth." "Holy balls!" they think to themselves! Let`s learn from this! Maybe we can find out how OUR ancestors evolved! How they learned to use tools. So they watch us. Not too creepily though. They give us some space. Try not to mess with this little ant farm. They want things to pan out naturally. So that`s how they see it.
What we see is a bunch of people who for one reason or another don`t mind being thought of as a weirdo to come and speak up about a sighting.

All right IAB, you`ve stumbled upon two passions of mine. Studying the universe and alien contact. I have more than 1000 characters of things to say.
Firstly, faster-than-light travel is possible with an alcubierre drive. (Warp Drive). When it was discovered that some galaxies are moving away from our own galaxy faster than the speed of light, the rule that nothing can break the light barrier had an exception made: space itself can expand and contract faster than light. An alcubierre drive is installed on a craft, and the space in front of the craft is contracted faster than light, and the space behind is expanded faster than light, and the "bubble" that the craft exists in barely moves at all. Warp drives wouldn`t need inertial dampeners, because the craft may only be moving a few meters per second, from its perspective. Although we as a species have not yet developed this technology, it is feasible that another species has. (continued soon)

Yeah i don`t see any reason why aliens would be disabling or tampering with a small quantity of nuclear weapons.

I have to wonder, how were the weapons `disabled`? A wire disconnected? a bug in the software? Power surge? Any other standard way things break?

Let me know when the mice tell us we are the lab rats. Until then, i`ll keep hoping for the robotic missions to Europa. Bacteria would change the world. A fish will change the universe.

I think that considering the sheer size of the universe and looking at it chronologically (a planet dead today may have been vibrant a billion years ago or a star system yet to coalesce) that it`s likely that there is, was, or will be other life around somewhere. However, I think that it`s extremely unlikely due to the distances it takes to travel efficently and the fact that it would be very rare for two nearby planets to form conditions favorable to complex life and have civilizations at approximately the same time for anybody to have visted our little corner of the galaxy. Especially without us all knowing about when they got here.

The belief that we are the only intelligent life in the universe is asinine. Of course there is life outside of earth, even if you had the most basic understanding of evolution you would know that. But to believe that earth has been in contact with ANY of that extra terrestrial life is even more insane than believing in Santa Claus.

"I will always remain skeptical to aliens visting Earth in any life form higher then bacteria on a meteorite. The ability to travel to our nearest solar system alone would require 16 years of going at the speed of light. If you go all that way and have such high amazing technology, then it makes absolutely no sence to just leave cryptic clues like stacking stones and showing themselves to random nobodys (expect maybe to f**k with us in a alien punk`d show)."

For one we are made up of what the stars are made from. 99% of the mass of the human body is made up of just six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. There are other elements but thats the basic ones.
While traveling at the speed of light is not possible with todays technology I theorize that these aliens have developed a way to fold space. Or found a way to break the speed of light barrier. I`m betting on the former tho seeing how a ships own mass will prevent it from reachi
