i want to be convinced the tea party isn`t a bunch of right wing/ neocon redneck idiots and that this is a reassuring sign that people are realizing that bigger governments are always more corrupt and more inefficient.... but i`m not :(

Kind of hard to believe that the "liberals" in this country were just neocons and the conservatives were constitutionalists/ libertarians not very long ago!

madest: while I agree with you I can`t help but appreciate the ridiculousness in a stand-up comedian organizing the "anti-Beck rally". How can anyone not think the whole concept is just silly? Politics have clearly gone to the birds. Plus, I pretty much hate glenn beck anymore anyway!

Ewww... RW glurge. At least it`s not another link to a WND story.

Comparing a heavily cross-promoted event, relentlessly on Fox news and supporting talk radio, to this event is an epic fail in critical reasoning. Same for trying to compare the Comedy Central rally. This has nothing to do with politics, and everything to do with the relative size of the marketing mechanisms and outlets promoting the events. Comparing Comedy Central viewership to Fox news to get some sense of political support makes no more sense than comparing Fox new`s attempts at comedy to CC`s. Both are misguided.

    Besides, I voted for Kodos.

I`m quite leftist (anarcho syndicalist). Every news outlet, from conservative to liberal talk pundits to all the news stations and their websites and blogs were talking about Becks upcoming rally. I never even heard of the 10/2 one until a couple days after it passed.

Second, why the hell does it matter who has more people on the lawn? Jesus Monkeyballs Christ. Even if the majority of Americans vote tea-party, republican, democrat, green, whatever party: it doesn`t mean that they`re right.

You don`t debate something of contention by comparing how many people fall for one side vs another.

    TaintedMojo you really are worthless.

Any time the libs lose (at anything) the first thing they do is cry that the competition wasnt fair. They had more promotion, coverage, a longer lead-in time. All those things may be true. But it doesnt matter. Nothing stopped their rally from being promoted longer etc. In a sporting event no one cares if your excuse battery is; they had more practice, They trained harder, they had better coaches. Suck it up or look like a whiner.

Now when the right loses at something they do one of two things. Go silent and remain stone-faced (the best option and most often used tactic) or make accusations of criminal activity and look like whiners.

As for the Colbert/Stewart rally. If you are pinning your hopes on it being even close in size to the 8/28 rally, you are dreaming. And I wonder what the excuses will be then?

Love him or hate him, Glenn Beck pulled off a major event and it was nothing short of total success.

"going to see a mormon evangelize about being more Christian."

    Mormons are Christian.

"Jon Stewart is simply offering an outlet to people who aren`t pissed off at the government."

Then about 3 people will be there. Jon himself is pissed at Obama.

"You hear these right wing nutbags talk about how awful Obama is without admitting he`s a billion times better then their guy was."

Who is this "their guy"? Not Bush. We all hated his stupid ass by the end. Our guy is Reagan, and he kicks Bush, and Obama`s candy ass.

"So we "non-angry" people don`t need a Jon Stewart we do appreciate what he`s up to and the crowd will show."

So you will be there? Okay 4 people then.

I`m not going to be there.

Because I`m not one of the nutjobs angry enough to go out and buy guns cos a black man became President.

Go ahead and "no no no, it was because he was going to take our guns!" like this dude.

It is not in any way comforting that the 30% rise in gun ownership is by the 30% stupid enough to get on their knees when told with their eyes closed waiting for some of that trickle down economics we keep hearing about.

    @baal:

Give credit where credit is due.

The taxes, and amnesty were suggested by the democrat congress.

The military was to blame for the Iran-Contra scandal. Reagan had plausible deniability.

All the tax hikes did, was delay the inevitable. Namely the economic plan HE had that came to fruition in the early/mid 90`s.

He was also responsible for negotiating the fall of the iron curtain. Getting us out of the cold war, and lowering energy prices.

    stewart/colbert- comedy central

just saying. not making excuses for stewart just saying. also beck and conservatives always coat their causes in some bs that is unrealated to what is really going on. example "this is for god" or "this is for our freedom" not saying i disagree with their cause its just alot easier to attract the sheep when you dip your poo in jesus.

    Heheh.

So you`re ok with these as long as Reagan does them? Good to know.

Seriously, all it sounds like is, "I`ve got my pants down and I`m already bent over, seems like a lot of effort to get back upright".

Lets face it, you haven`t given any of that "credit" to Obama now have you. No.

You also completely sidestepped at least 3 of the points raised. You`re ok with the cut and run? You`re ok with the amnesty because of who they were suggested by?

While we`re on the topic of tax hikes, I`d like to hear you defend the republicans fighting *against* tax cuts for 98% of the population because it doesn`t apply to the top 2% even though that money has been demonstrated to go out of the country rather than increase jobs internally.

You know Baal seriously, you are obviously a smart guy and you come off as well informed. But you are such a manipulator when it comes to any debate on here. You know that there are only 1000 characters allowed per post. But what you consistently do is ask a shotgun blast of questions in a single post then come back later and say

"well yeah but you didn`t answer question 4; part 7 subsection Q." And you are like "Ha! Got you!"

So it requires that the person make several posts in a row; And lets face it, that is just annoying for the one posting and the reader. Or that they try to stay on the subject at hand and just ignore the chaff that is thrown up in an attempt to overwhelm the debate.

"Any time the libs lose (at anything) the first thing they do is cry that the competition wasnt fair."

Yeah, because the folks over at Faux news are really taking the election of an opposing party with dignity.

When are people gonna wake up and realize that it`s finger pointing and blaming and political partisanship are what`s hurting this country? And that it`s the MSM that`s playing us against each other for their ratings?

The fact of the matter is that Bush Jr. was the worst president of the last 50 years. Today`s Republican party is trying to continue the policies that were inacted under his administration and the Democrats are trying to overturn those policies.

How is it American to let corporations take advantage of the people? How is it American to let a majority take away the rights of the minority?

These are legitimate concerns and each side has a legitimate point, but the sides are polarizing themselves

Nice try Wizard, but my complaint wasn`t that he didn`t answer, it was specifically that he answered badly. Whenever a debater drops a point I *usually* let it go.

In some cases I`ve spent 12-16 hours asking 2 or 3 questions over and over and over trying to get them to answer. I`ve even challenged people to debates without word limits.

Now, what were my questions? Was it "Defend these 5 policies"?

No, I don`t give a poo about these policies. It was a single point, pointing out that Reagan would be 100% unelectable under the criteria of even the most liberal republicans.

End point. End of 1 point. I have a fair amount of information backing up that single point, but it remains a single point.

Anyway, bedtime. Feel free to respond.

    "Nice try Wizard"

It wasn`t a "try" it was an observation.

And you can say you don`t do it but I read most everything you post and yes sir, you do. Sure you let allot of points go but you sort of have to. When one asks a laundry lists of questions or sprays the area with several points in a single post so regularly, all you can do is let some go. But not before you say "You also completely sidestepped at least 3 of the points raised." and thus it continues.

Discount/ignore or whatever you need to do, but your posts speak for themselves and there is a pattern here.

You know, I Googled something earlier today. Know what it came up with?

It came up with a link, from four years ago, that was posted by Buddy. Here, on IAB.

I was a lurker back then, I didn`t even have an account. But I remembered the link. And it was good.

It didn`t incite a flame war. That was rarely, if ever, Buddy`s intent, if I remember correctly.

No. It was just another post. It cured boredom. And back then, that was the point of this website.

    WTF happened, guys? Seriously?

I don`t give a f*ck one way or another about politics, we`re screwed no matter who takes control since both sides of the standard debate suck. But there have been days recently when half the front page was some political/religious commentary or another.

Is this what IAB has become? Scrambling for views with flame wars about religion and stupid politics? Bring back the good old days, when stuff was fun, light, and there weren`t as many F*CKING PHYSI

No, I come here to play games, see stupid people in stupid situations, and overall relieve the boredom that comes from having f*ck-all to do on an average weeknight.

I`ve gotten plenty of IAB results. Even from the comments, on occasion. Somebody will say something in the comments section of a post, and it`ll turn up on Google when I search something similar.

Also, when the Dems refuse to renew Bush`s tax cuts? It`s NOT the Repubs who are "raising taxes" no matter how often they repeated that on CNN m-kay?

first off these are basically just rallys from two different hosts on TV. Not even close to being an accurate representation of whats really going on. Second off Glenn Beck is a PUSSY, just like most of his "followers." wait till the Rally Against Insanity then post a crowd comparison.

vv But @Altaru, you post on these threads, thus encouraging MORE of them! lolz! Admit it, you like debating :)
The whole point of my post was that I`m getting sick of every third post being another frickin` flame war waiting to happen anymore. And I only get involved in a few out of the many, mostly to point out when people are being blatant morons and don`t even see it.

I am officially bored with all the flame wars. And I`m sure IAB`s lost a fair few other members and lurkers for the same reason.

So yeah, mods, how about we start cutting the flamey crap and start passing some fun stuff. I`d like to see some of the submissions that are either rejected or go unnoticed because you`re so busy passing this kind of stuff...

And, ya know, it all seems to come from the same usual culprits when stuff like this gets submitted...

    - Oooo! This is boring! (yeah, it IS boring to see reality, isn`t it liberals?)
    THAT`S why you`re on IAB?

    WTF is wrong with you?

The whole point of IAB is to cure boredom, not throw reality at people. If I wanted reality, I`d go outside and deal with reality.

The fact is, reality`s boring. And that`s why I`m on IAB, or hell, the internet period. So GTFO of here with your "reality" bullsh*t and take it to a website that`s actually for that crap. Keep it off of IAB.

In my years here I`ve watched this website pull an MTV and go from good television to total sh*t, and it`s all because of people like you, among others (I think I blame Fancy the most, honestly).

I`m bitching because people like you seem to think that this site is all about politics and other bullsh*t like that.

Seriously, get your head out of your ass. Not everything I say has to do with that crap. Yeah, I don`t like you, or your opinion, considering that your opinion of "entertainment" is a f*cking flame war about politics, and my idea of entertainment is something that`s actually, oh, I dunno, ENTERTAINING.

If I wanted politics, I`d go outside or watch the news. Guess what? I`m not. I`m coming to IAB because I want to play games, read interesting news stories, see pictures and videos of random stuff that should sometimes probably make me vomit (see the shark post), etc.

And I`m pretty sure a fair number of IAB`ers agree, considering the number of posts I`ve seen recently about people leaving.

No, because for the most part back then they made fun of the funny stuff. For example, when he got a shoe thrown at him. That was funny sh*t. I insult you because you`re being a F*CKING RETARD.

It has NOTHING to do with whether you`re a conservative or whatever the hell you call yourself. It has to do with the fact that you are posting POLITICS, and not even FUNNY politics, on a site that`s supposed to entertain people. And fewer and fewer are being entertained.

You`re either completely retarded, a just as much of a brain-dead slave to your politics as you claim I am, or a f*cking troll.

I have to go with a mix of all three. Get the f*cking political sh*t off IAB, or at least take it back to when it was funny. I wanna see shoes thrown at people, not who`s f*cking rally was bigger in a pissing contest between Dumb and Dumb.

I laughed at Obama`s presidential seal falling off. I`ve laughed at the sh*t that`s funny. This post, and other`s like it? They aren`t funny.

Posts against Bush usually had a comedic atmosphere. "Oh look, he looks like a monkey! lol! Watch him dodge that shoe! Who knew Bush was a ninja, man?"

Posts about politics now are like this one. They completely lack the "funny" aspect, and are nothing more than flame wars waiting to happen. All those posts about the health care and all that crap? I didn`t like them either.

I didn`t vote for him. Not only was I unable too, since I was only 16 at the time, but I wouldn`t have voted to begin with, same as I don`t intend to vote in the up-coming elections.

All politics now are trying to pick the "lesser of two evils," and I`m not going to get involved when I know that, no matter WHO gets voted into office, they`re still going to steal my money to pay themselves what they think they deserve to be paid, without actually giving a sh*t about people like me.

May I also just ask how this went from me saying "Get the retarded flame wars off IAB" to me being labeled by a troll who not only needs to get the conservative stick out of his ass, but has no idea what ANY of my personal policies are?

And then, every time I try to re-state my point about how I`m getting sick and tired of the political and religious BS here, the aforementioned troll drags it all right back around to me being something I`m not.

Right, because me wanting to have fun and enjoy a website all about having fun and enjoying oneself is a liberal policy. Clearly, according to you, IAB should just be one massive political debate where the conservatives get to show their superiority.

Know what? If you want a site like that, a quick Google search will show you, like, 12. Which brings me back to my original point, and the one you seem to miss every time I state it... KEEP THAT SH*T OFF IAB.

I think you`re confused by the fact that I`m backing up my statements with points. Sometimes, multiple points.

Auburn said "Reagan is our man".
I pointed out that Reagan would have been at great odds with the current Republican viewpoint.

I pointed that out with 5 examples, none of which have been refuted. You know for a fact if Obama did those 5 things, irrespective of whose suggestion they were, most of Fox news would have a stroke.

I`m not going to provide fewer examples and weaken my statement to answer false accusations of shotgunning.

1989: Taxes were $991 billion and spending was $1.14 trillion. Deficit of $153 billion.

Reagan did cut taxes, from 19.6% to 18.4% overall.
He cut spending from 22.2% to 21.2%. He increased the deficit from 2.6% to 2.8%.

Clinton (the famous righty) by comparison cut spending from 21.4% of GDP to 18.5%.
    4) Okay, I`ll give you that. What preconditions?
5)So it`s ok to cut and run.

How does any of this make Reagan better or even electable today?

Feel free to dispute any numbers in the graph.

Also, my original comparison of Dem to Republican (43:40) is an average of 29 polls. I picked the source I figured was most Republican friendly.

The questions asked here however slant the result one was or another. When asked who they wanted in control of Congress, America said the Democrats. When asked who they were electing in local elections, Repubs go up 3%.

    Basically
    Question:
Do you prefer your local Republican Candidate or Democratic Candidate: 44:49 in favour of Repubs. (5 points)

Would you rather see Democrats in charge of Congress or Republicans: 46:39 in favor of Dems. (7 points)

Baal: Reagan had a democrat controlled congress to deal with, He did get lower taxes passed and that helped recover our economy from Jimmy Carter`s double digit inflation, High unemployment, and sluggish economy. When the US did recover the tax income rose because the overall GDP rose.

    Example:
    12% of 100,000,000 is 12,000,000
    10% of 150,000,000 is 15,000,000
If you raise the economy you more than make up for the lower tax rate.

I have no idea where you are getting your polling numbers, I shown you my source, But republicans have led democrats in most all the polls this summer and Obama`s numbers have been on a downhill slide as well.

    Crak.

Lets try stats on the matter at hand, democrats vs republicans, rather than Democrats alone.

*I* am not happy with the Democrats, but I want them to be more Democrat, and less Republican. Obama has made too many compromises, which haven`t worked.

If you ask me how happy I am with Democrats, I`ll say... 30%. This compares roughly to RealClear.

How much do I want Republicans in? 20%, and only that because I`ll get to say I told you so.

Stats on the actual Democrat/Republican preferences. Questions found at the bottom.

As for tax rates, what you said is already part of my original answer.

    Crack

You`ve shown a grasp of simple math, congratulations.
The problem with your "raise the economy rather than the taxes" is: How will you get the money to raise it? Borrow more money from Asia? "Why raise taxes?", you might say. Because of a thing called "propensity to save": During bad times, people spend less money and save up more. A tax-cut therefore won`t have the same effect as it would in a stable and good economy.

According to Keynesian economics a solution *could* be to raise taxes and increase government spending.
Thing is; it`s never easy to fix an economy. Especially when you have as massive interests on your loans as the US must have.

BBQ: my only question is can you provide any examples of Keynsian economic policy ever working in the history of the world?

I agree with your assessment of taxes per economic situation, but the main problem in the US right now (as has been before), is that a lot of people (progressives) have no concept of how employment is really created. It`s actually hard to believe that politicians REALLY believe that creating these ridiculously gigantic spending programs will truly benefit the economy, seeing as how: A. it`s failing miserably now and B. it`s never worked in this country or any other before. It`s possible these progressive liberals really believe in that system (because they`re wholeheartedly ignorant) but I have to believe it`s very likely these tax and spend programs have nothing to do with fixing the economy and everything to do with enacting the policies that they are interested/ invested in.

You know, politics is really the only career where someone can present a mysterious and theoretical policy where they take everyone`s money and invest it into some plan without presenting any sort of evidence that it has worked in the past.

Politicians (of all parties) basically play games with our money. Where I come from that`s called gambling, not investing. And I`m not really comfortable with ANY politician GAMBLING with the money that i work hard for and leaving me absolutely nothing to show for it.

Did anybody listen to the Glenn beck rally? It did had subtle political messages, but the majority of it was not political (overtly.) It was an entertaining, expensive multimedia event which celebrated America`s past, cultural present and shared his belief that there could only be a positive future if there was unity across America regardless of creed, politics, etc.

Since Glenn Beck is a political figure, the message that was assumed pre-rally by people that didn`t actually listen to what it was about assumed, and apparently still do, that it was political. It`s also important to note that Glenn Beck has one of the MOST patronized radio and TV shows.

The rally on 10/2 got minimal pre-coverage, had no headliner and was an overt political statement. It surprised no-one that it was a smaller event.

As people have stated the rally that COULD rival Beck would be Stewart/Colbert; mainly because that rally is also not directly political.

    Look, here`s my view:

People seem to forget that this country wasn`t meant to be a DEMOCRACY. It was meant to be a REPUBLIC. In other words, it was meant to enforce the will of the many, while protecting the interests of the few.

When I look around, what I see on BOTH sides is that they`ve BOTH forgotten one part or another of that. The Conservatives, from what I`ve seen, seem to want to enforce the will of the few and consider the many to be inferior, while the Liberals, from what I`ve seen, want to enforce the will of the many and stamp out the few, because the few shouldn`t have the right to be where they are.

BOTH are wrong, and BOTH will lead us ALL to destruction.

My ONLY objective, and the reason I don`t consider myself one side or another in any way shape or form, is to entertain everyone I can. That`s why I want to be an actor.

But some people, like 5cats, seem to find their enjoyment in pissing people off, dividing the world with labels and other stupid BS, and yelling so they never have to hear anything they don`t agree with.

    THAT`S what I`M against.

So, like I said before, either take your politics elsewhere, or at least make them entertaining to more than just idiots who love their smug sense of superiority.

This is IAB, not a political/religious debate forum. It`s supposed to cure boredom, not start flame wars about politics that will not only solve nothing, but will fail miserably at changing either side`s mind.

"The Conservatives, from what I`ve seen, seem to want to enforce the will of the few and consider the many to be inferior"

This is not the case at all.

We want to return the principles of our constitution to this country. Where we are represented by people we elect. Now as it stands, we elect the richest candidate and they go to Washington and do what they want, ignoring who they represent.

Conservatives want a small, efficient Federal government, not a Large, slow National government. (there`s a difference).

The will of the people, and the rights of the states, are #1 as far as conservatives are concerned.

Surprisingly enough, I agree completely. Especially with that last point.

Although, and I`m going to say this clearly, the ONLY reason I`m really against the "Obamacare" system that`s supposed to go into action, is because it`s such a massive, convoluted scheme the I don`t see how it would work. Maybe he is. But so far, all I`ve seen is him failing, compromising, and making excuses.

And you can`t blame it on the other side, considering that:

    A) The Dems have a majority, plain and simple. If they REALLY wanted to be for the people, they would have done it, and they could have done it quite easily. After all, they only need 51% of the vote to pass something, and then Obama would pass it. They`ve got both right now, so why haven`t they done anything right so far?

I understand it takes time to see results with some things, but he`s done less in 2 years than some presidents in in a couple months.

Then there`s those stimulus packages that clearly haven`t worked so far...

    Know what it means?

What it means is, JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE NUMBERS, DOESN`T MEAN YOU`RE RIGHT.

It means that you have charismatic leaders. And that`s exactly what Obama was. He was a charismatic speaker who could pull people in with ideals and pretty words.

Too bad he flopped when push came to shove, eh? I liked him back when he was campaigning the first time. He had a lot of good ideas. But now, he`s just a failure who`s trying to bank on excuses and the classic "I just need more time!" plea.

Since you`re just a child you`ll need a few years of living on your own before you can actually come to any idea about how the country works and how it should run. When I was your age I was a stupid republican as well.

Sorry, I`m a little late the discussion here, but Crakr, are you suggesting that conservatives have a plan that would solve all of the problems you`re describing? If this were true, and conservatives offered solutions rather than simply sitting back and pointing out the obvious fact that the system is broken, I would vote for republicans. However, in my experience, all I`ve heard is a lot of complaining and no real alternatives. How exactly do conservatives recommend fixing the healthcare system, for example? I am truly curious because I can`t really recall a single credible plan to fix the problems you`re talking about.

I don`t agree that insurance companies should deny coverage to children.
Oh, goody. You agree with one solution that it presents. What about all the other "solutions" that are going to do nothing but cause more problems?

By the way, I agree with you that they shouldn`t, that`s one point I definitely agree on. But the whole thing is one massive, convoluted pile of crap that`s only going to make things worse.

You do talk as if you have no sense of real world living.
I have plenty of "sense of real world living."

But not the kind of "real world" you`re referring too. Because that`s not real, that`s the illusion you cover your own eyes with to make up for the fact that you`ve given up and accepted the "lesser-of-two-evils" system.

The only reason ideals don`t work is because of people like you and the other end of the spectrum, who don`t even give them the chance. And corrupt

How come the 1st thing implemented is something you agree with?
Because it`s a good idea, duh.

Do you agree with people going bankrupt because they got sick?
No, but I also don`t agree with making them go bankrupt being forced to give up their money to help pay off massive national debts that will be caused by legislation like this.

I think we can all agree that businesses, especially paper-pushing, money-manipulating businesses like insurance companies and banks, need to be regulated or else they`ll milk the world dry. But how about, instead of having the government try to replace those businesses, the government actually regulates them?

I agree with the conservatives on that point. We don`t need a large government that tries (and often fails) to do everything. We need a smaller, more efficient government that will actually get things right.

One of the best things that could be done to improve health care is to implement tort reform, Which I`ve discussed on IAB before. The problem is, The trial lawyer associations have a powerful lobby and blocked it. It`s time lawyers quit getting rich off of no limit judgments in our courts.

In turn, Doctors wouldn`t feel the need to perform so may expensive unnecessary tests in order to cover themselves from malpractice suits. The resulting savings would be able to affordably save enough to offer inexpensive health insurance.

Tort Reform = putting limits on lawsuits and their amounts.

    "Malpractice only affects bad doctors."

    No it does not.

Just the threat of a malpractice lawsuit raises insurance costs for ALL doctors.

This trickles down to the health care consumer.

Because we have the ability to sue a doctor for tens of millions of dollars for anything we want, it makes our costs too high. People can claim malpractice on anything, and if given the right (wrong) judge, or a sympathetic jury, a doctor can be hit for $20 million for doing nothing wrong.

Example 1: I go to the hospital. They tell me to stay in bed. I refuse, get up, and fall down. MALPRACTICE LAWSUIT! I can sue them for not making me stay in bed.

Example 2: A doctor tells me I have cancer. I get depressed. MALPRACTICE LAWSUIT! I can sue the doctor for making me depressed.

Example 3: I get back surgery. The doctor tells me that it isn`t a cure, and it will just make me a little better. MALPRACTICE LAWSUIT! I can sue him for not mak

When the owner of that vehicle gets into an accident because of that faulty part, The owner will likely sue the auto plant, Not the union worker, and the union worker keeps his/her job and your insurance rate will not likely be affected.

Doctors on the other hand are expected to be perfect all the time. The Problem, No doctor is perfect all the time and assuming they need to be, Is beyond any realistic expectations. But that doesn`t matter to the trail lawyers that get rich off of the pain and suffering of others.

Let me guess, you don`t know any doctors on a personal basis?

It doesn`t matter if someone is the best, most well-known doctor in the world, they still have to pay massive amounts for malpractice insurance. In fact, the more well-known the doctor, the more they need.

It`s not a mater of "good doctor, bad doctor," it`s a matter of people being retards and blaming the doctors for everything, and the courts constantly siding with them for insane amounts of money.

Tort reform would put permanent caps on all payouts to patients.
Yes, but I would assume it would put caps on payouts depending on the severity of the issue at hand.

Tylenol for Motrin? Getting depressed when the doctor tells you you have cancer? They would barely get a case, let alone million-dollar settlements. (Don`t say it doesn`t happen, I`ve known people who tried that kind of crap, and I`ve known doctors who`ve been the victims of it.)

Doctor paralyzes a patient? That would get a case, and the patient would receive appropriate settlement.

You`re trying to polarize everything, without looking at the grey areas in between. It would end the lawsuits for retarded sh*t, or at least cut out the absurd payouts for them. It would NOT end compensation for people who actually deserve it.

The point as a whole is, tort reform will lower health care costs by lowering the cost to doctors for malpractice insurance.

You can`t argue that, because it`s a fact.

Speaking of McDonald`s, what about how they are exempt from Obamacare? He has given exemption waivers to 29 companies. I guess if he likes you, you don`t have to go bankrupt conforming to his policies. (Or maybe they just bullied him into submission. What a pansy.)

It just so happens that that lady got 3rd degree burns on her lap. That`s the kind of burn that removes the skin from the body. Her case would have gone nowhere had McDonalds not been sued several hundred times for the same thing.
    Does it matter?

The fact is, when I buy a cup of coffee from a restaurant, I naturally assume it`s gonna be hot. I didn`t buy an iced mocha for a reason, I bought a steaming hot cup of Joe.

If you spill hot coffee on your lap that you made in your coffee maker, do you get to sue the company that made the coffee maker?

The details of the case aren`t all that important. It`s a matter of principle, stupidity, and the fact that people are f*cking vultures out to get easy money however they can.

Lawsuits for ridiculous reasons happen all the time, and are half the reason prices are so high anymore. On EVERYTHING.
