I think #4 is wrong. I dream about strangers all the time but I`ve only dreamt about my own family maybe 4 times in my life.

Here in CA, new houses are being built with 2 master bedrooms & older houses are being remodeled that way. I saw a segment regarding this on some news show--it`s supposedly a "new" trend. Hey, my grandparents slept in separate bedrooms and were happily married for 56 years. I know I`d be a nicer wife if I didn`t have to put up with my husband`s snoring & farting all drating night.

"Why can i still remember dreams clearly then?"
Because you don`t know you forgot the part you don`t remember.

Actually, cellular regeneration takes place in times of rest. One doesn`t have to be unconscious for it to take place just simply inert.

"Blind people can still see images in dreams."

I`m glad that little tidbit of information is there, because I remember meeting someone who was born blind and I asked him to tell me what his dreams were like. He just said it was like being awake, and that answer didn`t really tell me anything. Now I realize that was because I didn`t phrase the question properly, what I really wanted to know was if he could see things in his dreams.

It doesn`t say "people who don`t remember their dreams". It says, specifically, people who don`t have them.

"I suppose the thing about people who don`t remember their dreams being more likely to have personality disorders because I don`t remember my dreams and I`m bipolar, have split personalitys, an overwhelming fear of social situations, fear of commitment, and I was put in the "nut house" at 16 for the three months before I was emancipated. Or at least that is what my old theraqpist said... Ha, why am I listing all my ptoblems in front of a people I don`t even know. My enemys might come to this site"

why is that a scary stat on married couples? Sleeping within a foot of someone every night is really inefficient in terms of how much rest you actually get, especially if you`re on different work schedules, different bedtimes, sleep schedules, etc. Sleeping separately = more rest = better mood. Sleeping with someone is nice for a while, but eventually, you just want to sleep without someone bothering you all night (coughing, getting up, reading, shifting, etc)

Have to agree with cornflakegrl - it`s a little hard to believe television changed anything when everything in real life was already in color, long before color television.

Sorry but this is a total load of crap. Not only do I rarely dream about men, I frequently dream about people I`ve never met. In fact most of the time that happens. I occasionally dream about people I know, but only about 30% of the time at best.

There are other "facts" in this that are wrong. IAB needs to quit posting these things, they`re all full of errors.

Television is a major stimulus. Think about it. How many people watch a movie before going to bed? Plus computers, gaming, handhelds; all this media being constantly absorbed by people affects their brains to an extent that it can spill over to dreams.

As for the study, it said 10 days without sleep CAN kill you; not that it WILL kill you.

Consider your concerns answered.

I`m surpised cats aren`t on the list of longest-sleeping mammals. like 16-18 hours.

Also, most of these sound like bullpoo, especially the sleeping positions. and i thought that when people say they don`t dream, they do but just don`t remember.

I stopped reading after number 4 because that is when i realized this is completely bs. Why on earth would anyone believe that all faces you see in dreams have been seen in real life? first of all there is absolutely no proof and it is impossible to test and also what reason would you have to believe this?

I LOVE dreams. I keep a dream diary everyday. The more you practice trying to remember your dreams, the easier it is. But, it`s true that you forget most of you dream in the first few minutes after waking up.

I was taining to increase the number of girls I am dreaming about.
I also trained my abilities to dream in full Hd color, fly and use super powers.
The first thing I trained was to wake up immediatly when I have a nightmare.

Did you check any of the sources cited at the bottom of the picture before trotting out that tired old line? Or do you just say it whenever anyone quotes a statistic about anything, not considering your lack of knowledge on statistical processes or the subject matter to be any impediment in voicing your opinion?

Warning: graphic contains rampant generalisation, and features large amounts of nonsense.

According to this, male dreams don`t pass the Bechdel test, "We can only dream about faces we have already seen, whether we remember them or not" (how the hell do you even measure that?) And as for section 8, that`s as bad as astrology.

Pretty pictures don`t hide poor research, and nobody who wants to be taken seriously cites the Daily Mail as a source of information.
