Does anyone else have a new memory of receiving a strange post card when you were young? Somehow, I get the impression that my life was completely different than what I now remember. Funny how a postcard to yourself can send you on a new path.

It`s worth downloading Chrome for this.

For those it who say it doesn`t work, every address I put in came up except my current one--I`ve lived in some pretty obscure places too.

My guy was running on top of trees and trees grew out of my car which has since been totaled so it was pretty cool even though it was for the wrong reasons.

It was kinda funny when the trees grew on the trees,But my house isn`t on street view so it wasn`t as good!

It put birds on google earth. Very high tech. Right.

I guess I am the only one who wasn`t impressed. All that processing and work just to watch some triangle birds and and little dot move around a spinning Google Earth image of my house...

I am sure it took lots to develop, but man that was lame. I happen to have seen my house on google earth before... wow

I refuse to Install an entire browser just to watch this. In this day and age we should be breaking down compatibility issues not generating new ones

@ psychosax: Try it again. you must have done something wrong.

If it still doesn`t work, try using Google`s Chrome browser. Since it was made with Google`s assistance, it would make sense that it will work perfectly with their browser. It did for me anyway.

@psychosax I live in a small town with a population of 6000 and it worked perfectly for me.

Really? That is interesting. I`m guessing you live in some major metropolitan area because I live in Milwaukee, which has dratin 500 thousand people living here, and it still didn`t work for me.

Yea, not downloading chrome. My boyfriend got a virus when he tried to download it a while back directly from Google.

I know Pui. I had to downgrade from Cable (10Mbps) to DSL (5Mbps) when we moved. My God it takes an ETERNITY to do anything online. :)

@auburnjunky It genuinely feels a LOT slower to use Firefox than to use Chrome. That millisecond does feel like an eternity when you`re used to faster. It`s sort of like when I use my sister`s laptop instead of mine. It`s not actually slow but it still pisses me off lol.

LOL Pui. You believe that hype?

Funny how a millisecond is so long once we are told it is.

I like Chrome because it`s fast. Everytime I have to go back to Firefox (Because some applications do not work in Chrome) it drives me nuts because it is SO SLOW.

Nice as. Took me to the shopping centre I used to spend a lot of my time at. Chrome definitely feels smoother to me than the other browsers.

Plus this web experiment sucks anyways. It only works if you live in NY, LA, or Chicago.***

Not true. I live in Canada and it works here, perfectly. It grabs screen shots from Google Earth and Street View, from the town you list, and uses them in the video.

well that was actually pretty badass. I liked the post card drawing thing.

Why won`t this work with IE9? IE9 blows chrome out of the water with HTML5 performance. Plus this web experiment sucks anyways. It only works if you live in NY, LA, or Chicago.
